Pierre was told he couldn't name anyone. Jagmeet is a lawyer and gave a weasel answer that didn't name anyone and Jagmeet isn't in a courtroom where he has to tell the truth. It is common knowledge that for the last 20+ years the NDP has wanted to disband the Canadian Military. If that didn't flag the entire NDP party I would be very surprised, hence the audible scoff before Jagmeet started to give his political-non-answer.

It isn't considered "CLASSIFIED" if he "LIED" and if you remember correctly Jagmeet stated that NOBODY was named (Pierre Poilievre was also told he could name exactly nobody) so that is what was done. Jagmeet weaseled his way out of having to admit that the Entire NDP Party is on a list named "hostile to canada" because they want to disband the Canadian Military. Not only that but Jagmeet started taking issue with Large Grocery Chains and they have subsequently been needlessly subject to "hacktavism" over his lies. The answer is yes, the NDP is very dangerous. Do you think CSIS ignores that? CSIS doesn't operate anywhere outside of Canada so yes they're fully aware of what the NDP plans on doing - removing the capitalist society in Canada and replacing it with a Soviet-Style Socialist State.
Revealing sinsitive information inside Canada is one thing, revealing it outside the country is another but revealing for personal gain, that's treason and just because no body has been arrested does not make it legal.

So the problem is if the official can’t say, it’s a clear case that would be a violation then how is the person who may violate that supposed to know whether it’s a violation or not? From what I’ve seen of Canada laws, they are somewhat vague in these areas and if you don’t know if doing XYZ is against the law but doing ABC is OK then how can you make that determination for yourself?
