My wife yesterday said our next car will be a minivan, because our family is growing. Since we are a Hyundai/Kia family, so looks like we are getting a carnival.
So many people have ego's about the minivan, but they are so practical.

Did a lot research recently to decide on which mini van I want to get:
1. Sienna - The best overall for sure, but yeah good luck getting one at MSRP
2. Pacifica - The one I really wants but then you know.... its a pacifica... don't want to go to the dealers every month for fixing it....
3. Odessey - Oh man that interor looks like a 2012 Civic...
So I ended up putting the deposit for a 2025 Carinival. The key points made me chose it over the 2024 one:
1. The look, 2025 looks so cool from the outside
2. The bench seat on SX trim
3. The price
For the price, so if you go to USA website for each minivan, you will be shocked at how much cheaper Kia priced the carnival in Canana. It's a no brainer with this price tag.
You can't beat the warranty. This new 2025 Kia model has significant new features and so now the other vans on the market are a close call as competition. Kia has a good price and with the added warranty it's a good deal. You need a superior warranty on newer vehicles due to the complicated systems and many computer chips it makes repairs very expensive. You can trade in after 5 years or perhaps get an extended warranty. You can haggle over the cost of the extended warranty as the dealerships start with a really high price and have the ability to lower the cost significantly. The sales trick they use as it tell you it's just $15 a month more and really it's a matter of the actual cost of the warranty. They will likely charge you about $1,000 above the cost they could give you. Much of dealership happens in the finance office when you sign the paperwork and they offer add on items. They also have a buy rate and sell rate for financing and so know what your bank charges as an option. (buy rate is what the dealership pays the bank as a percentage and they can give you the loan for an extra markup in which they get the interest on as profit and so you get the sell rate). Lot's of videos on UA-cam about buying a vehicle tips. Having said that, dealership extended warranties are the best ones to have and with Kia you only need one if you keep the vehicle over 5 years.
You can't say the Sienna is the best overall for sure when you haven't driven the 2025 Carnival yet. Without having driven any of them, I can say that the Carnival peaks my interest the most.
Keep in mind the Kia 100k mile warranty. Toyota and Honda do not build their vehicles well enough to have a 100k mile warranty. 😁

Great review. Great chemistry. Also insane they did that on a single live take. In the market and it's hard for me to part with the idea of AWD but if I did it would without a doubt be for the Carnival. Crazy value.
Nice video. Really wish if you could have shown entering 3rd row with all seats up and entering by sliding the seat. Wanted to see how easy it is to access 3rd row.

carnival needs awd option as well a pano-roof option. also the 4-th row extra long trim option. also the light-off-road trim as well. cabin-talk & cabin watch option (if it is not already there). sensor so called - "left infant in car seat sonar reminder" for all trims.
For 2025, there's no panoramic roof option, but the SX does offer dual power opening sunroofs. It also has passenger talk, passenger view monitor, and rear occupant alert 2 (which can actually set off the panic alarm, if it detects motion for 10 minutes inside of the car). However, AWD is still not an option for 2025 - I'd certainly love to see it in the future.

I have recently drove a minivan. It was the Chrysler pacifica. I have just been converted to a minivan guy and my wife.
I have been doing research, and I will be honest, I was looking at the Odyssey and sienna. Leaning toward the Odyssey.
Kia just called me and they have number of 2025 carvinal. Watching thos video I have to now do more research lol

Yesss. An 8 seat with SX gadgets. I bought my 2024 too soon again. They should have change the Continental Tire for Michelin. The Continental tires on the Carnival are crap in rain. How much my 2024 EX+ still worth:)
"Recognized Roads" Oh in my 1960 and 1970s infrastructure city - we are lucky our lines get painted in the spring. We have roads where you can tell it was supposed to meet and you can see they did not meet right - so everyone jumps over a lane or two and in winter - you just imagine where the lanes are. I don't like to boast, but I think I use The Force partially when driving - I am temped to put my blast shield down occasionally with the high risk behavior I see around me - well, to me honest if I had one (perhaps best I do not have one).
mental note for wish list - beside "sunglass holder" - and blast shield.
Great side profile! The Kia is nice too.
Everything is very good but when I get out and the truck is on I cannot lock it with the control being outside, I have to turn it off and press lock, other vehicles that I have had when getting off by clicking the lock on the control allows you to lock the vehicle, very functional for when you forget something and you have to go back into your house or apartment in case you miss something, I have the kia carnival ex 2024 and it doesn't lock when you put it away
Do the outboard second row seats remove as well?
Really like the 360 camera and turn signal cameras. Love that you can get any trim with 8 passengers which you can't do with Toyota. Not a fan of the front passenger area design from a functionality standpoint. It looks nicer and more modern but the Toyota and Honda designs give you more functional front areas in terms of being able to stash stuff with the Honda's open area and the Toyota bridge consol. I'd trade style for function with the front area if I had the choice. Also wish Kia hadn't gone towards that touch design for the front climate controls and had kept things simple. Some features like speaking to roll down the windows are gimmicks.
Has your dealership/KIA Canada received any complaints with battery drainage issues on the 2025? Seems like a wide spread problem and I experienced first hand on recent road trip when car was parked for 2 days on 2 separate occasions and car wouldn't start and needed a boost. Otherwise no issues when car was started/driven on a daily basis. Thanks.

Just looked up the specs for the 2025 SX, it doesn’t show it has ambient lighting or leather seats. Shows it’s only available for prestige. Is this an upgraded SX 2025?
This is the SX in the Canadian trim. Depending on country, vehicles are named/spec’d differently

Local dealership confirmed it's the same part # for the 2025 and installed one on my 2025 SX.

Question: are you positive that the car you demo'd in this video is the SX trim and not the Prestige? I thought the heads up display + rear view mirror camera display, etc was only in the prestige? Could you please clarify? Thanks.
Yep we’re positive! We are based in Canada and over here we have no prestige trim.

In Canada, it starts on the SX - which is the top trim for 8 seats. It's also on the SX+ which is the top trim for 7 seats.

Google maps didn’t work on my iPhone - I’ll be honest with you, I haven’t tried it with an android phone.
Will the Hybrid and Gas pretty much have all the same features?
Great question - there's only 3 trims for the hybrid (LX+, EX, and SX+). There's a coupe small differences but they are largely the same.
Does the blind view monitor only come is SX model? I know the EX+ 2025 has it.
For 2025 it starts on the SX. However, this may vary depending on where you are located.
Are dual sunroofs only available on SX trims?

Why on earth would a car company name their vehicle "Carnival"? A really silly name for a car. I can understand it may be trying to project "fun times" in the minivan , but there must be a much more refined and less silly name than "carnival".
