The truth untold is based on La Citta di Smeraldo. It's the story of a man who lived in a castle and kept to himself because he thought himself to be ugly. One day a woman came near his castle and picked his flowers. He was angry at first but eventually became curious and waited for her. He found out that she was actually selling those flowers for a living. The man fell in love but didn't want to show himself because he was 'too ugly' (you know that I can't show you me, give you me... and also your reaction on 9:09). So he decided to plant a flower that didn't exist on the planet so she could sell it at an expensive price. Eventually he managed to fill his garden with them but the woman stopped coming. He then learned that she died. That part where they sing 'but I still want you' is about him regretting not telling her his feelings all because he didn't love himself first. It fits so well with the 'love yourself' concept.
Well shit, this just deepened my whole perspective on the song. Thanks for sharin this man 💜💕

This song is based basically on what it means to love yourself. A guy that is cursed with “ugliness” hides inside his castle, his garden is filled with bloomed flowers. A girl comes there and picks flowers, the guy falls in love everyday when he sees her, but the guy never shows himself because he thinks he is ugly. One day he bloomed the most unrealistic rare flower for her to come get it and see it, but she never came because she died. That’s the time he realized he fucked up, just because of him NOT LOVING HIMSELF he could’nt love other people enough. The girl came many times there but she never knew the owner cause he was hiding. So basically if he loved himself he would have met with her and things would go better and she would not probably die. Message: you can’t love others before loving urself first

Song is based on a true story way back in the 1500's-1600's it takes place in a small town in Italy The story's about an 'ugly' man who hid in an old castle alone. because of his looks he received lots of hate & cruelty while growing up. He never opened his heart to anyone. Whenever they tried to approach him, he hid in anger. His happiness was to plant flowers in his garden.
One day a woman appeared near the man's castle. She jumped over the garden fence and stole a flower. This angered the man at first. So he watched his garden all night. But when he fell a sleep, the woman took another flower. This continued for several nights. The man pretended to be asleep and watched the woman steal a flower. He started becoming curious about the woman. He began waiting for her. without realizing he kept waiting for her to come and the next day seemed a little brighter.
Following after her one day he realized that she was selling the flowers that she stole from him to make a living. The man desperately wanted to help the woman. But he was afraid she would be terrified by the way he looks. He knew she would not love his 'grotesque' appearance He came to a conclusion that the only way he would be able to help her is to let her continue stealing flowers from his garden. The man decided to make a flower that doesn't exist on the planet. So that the woman could sell them at a expensive price. He began to make the flower in his castle.
After many unsuccessful attempts, the man made a flower that didn't exist and filled his garden. But the woman stopped coming. No matter how long he waited she never came to his garden. He eventually found out that the woman had died.

i'm like a year late on this reaction lmfaooo but i just LOVE how this song is arranged. in the beginning, there are barely any instrumentals and the vocals are the main focus. throughout the song, the instrumentals slowly build up and the line "but i still want you" is repeated. however, when all the music fades out, the song ends with the line "but i still want you." this line stays true the duration of the song, and even through the build up, the explosive climax and through everything, in the end, "i still want you."
