As it stands right now, "we'll be more generous than needed, trust us lol" doesn't inspire any confidence from me personally. I think a lot of uncertainty and panic would be reduced if the admins communicated a bit more.
i think overall this update is going to be good, but the problem is the sets being worth so much some fishing sets are worth over 20 billion coins, mainly bc attributes (that 20b does not even include the dyes) removing the atts would devalue this, and destroy endgame nws still overall will be a healthy update for the game
One thing you (prob) didnt mention is that they 100% need to buff crimson isle gear because if they dont, for example my around 450m fiery aurora will be outclassed by 80m storm set...

Thank you for not directly advocating for panic and unrest on something we literally have no information on outside of 'hey, we're changing this' Something I'd like to say; attributes are really difficult to balance around in their current state because Skyblock WILL have more combat content and obviously more content past 1.0, having sets that grants you the ability to one-tap or trivialize most things in the game only makes it so that future content updates will either have to be completely inaccessible to those without *these* specific sets with *these* attributes, or future content will have to continually artificially inflate health and damage to match, which brings about the same problem when introducing new sets in said hypothetical future content updates. I have hope for this update and I hope everyone can see what this means in the long-term for Skyblock.
And an example already exists The rift necklace was supposed to be the best combat necklace in the game, and rn people are not using it over a molten necklace solely because it lacks attributes, despite having way better stats
ok so I have like a few/alot of questions/suggestions/"issues" 1. wheel of fate should become like a "kismet" for kuudra chests and has 3-5 uses 2. can you stack attributes? ex if I wanted 2/4 combat slots to be vitality would that work? 3. albeit crimson will be the best for single hit melee dmg, won't sorrow just totally outclass it in magic find 4. for the new kuudra system, I kinda wish there were more "enragers" even if they don't count towards the museum, I just like having a chance at rlly ridiculously rare things 5. also, I was thinking that maybe some attributes would have a higher "effect" while using specific armor sets - w/ aurora (or any kuudra set for that matter) you get +50% more mana pool from that attribute, or for a way to make some kuudra armor sets worth spending the coins on (specifically noting #3) you get bonus stats from attributes while having a kuudra specific armor set w/ that attribute maxed edit: 6. kinda wish that rend term was still meta, that was so fun lmao idk, these are just some of the things I thought of - might add something later if I happen to like find something I think of while doing t5
@@skyblueczk That's a good thing though, it serves as a safe net so even if a perk is WAY better than the rest, you can't just use it over all other slots, forcing you to diversify your build with other perks aswell. I expect some attributes will be buffed to compensate for 1 slot though.
My biggest concern is sorrow armor being better for mf than crimson again thats, the whole point of doing 10 mf crimson was to be able to have mf of sorrow and a good damage combined...
I think they should add some sort of tag to previous god-rollen armour pieces on the bottom, where the rarity is (but not the rarity itself), saying something like "GODROLLEN", but carries nothing but vanity on the item

Revamping attributes gives them a whole new meaning throughout the game, imagine if you could get an attribute that just reduces the cooldown of weapons/tools, for example, what if you could knock down tree cap cooldown to .5s instead of 1s with monkey, suddenly foraging would become minorly more tolerable and more people would participate
I believe it will end up like the talisman rework, when it was announced people were worried and now even as a player that played sine 2020 I cant imagine talismans without power stones

I do think it could be interesting if the crimson items which currently have attributes give you like… an extra attribute “slot” or something which lets you equip an extra attribute. It could be busters but it’d be a nice buff for early game crimson armor and armors which are carried by attributes like Aurora

I acknowledge the current system is kinda bricked, being limited to Crimson Isle gear, but I realise one of the downsides of this update is that, for anyone who has grinded for multiple god rolls of gear sets, all of that gear will become completely identical. If they went for 4 armour sets with level 10 attributes, they'll be no better off than anyone else who got level 10 on one armour piece, and all they'll have to show for it are 4 unremarkable armour sets. Still, it's an improvement on a flawed system and now is as good a time as any to rip the band aid off.
This might be true, and will suck, however if you're someone with multiple maxxed god roll sets, you're likely so wealthy that this wont put much of a dent in your wealth anyway, and with the new system being designed how it is, there wasn't really a way to preserve those benefits.
I think its a good change overall, but for the people who spent billions on gr kuudra armor sets its a bit ass. Honestly if it were up to me id make it so the attribute system wouldnt work on kuudra armor (or atleast upgraded), so the people who spent billions wouldnt be fucked over.
Let's all be honest, admins won't transfer the itmes fairly. They will not account for the fact getting attributes on equipment (lava shell specifically) is multiple times harded then on armor, they might not even account that something like MP5 costs more then LL5. Also kuudra in general will definatly be killed forever, it wont make 80+m/hr with the new system, I doubt it will even be able to compete with mining. The thing that makes kuudra profitable in this system is the exclusive ability to get attributes, looking at the forum post you can see alternative ways of getting attributes, e.g dropping from mobs for example. The admins said "do not panic" while realising the forum post at the start of derpy and with minimal information about the conversions, this is a recipe for disaster right here

i agree with what you say, but i personally dont believe that admins have a plan to directly refund godrolls, and will probably just make old attributes convertible to new attributes at a somewhat generous rate to try and make up for it. the reason i believe that is because they do not say in the forum post that players will retain their investment, but instead that “players will retain their progress”, which makes me think than a mana pool 1 mana regen 1 aurora chestplate is going to be the same as a mana pool 1 and mana regen 1 attribute shard, as these are technically the same “progress”. i also dont see any way that admins could directly refund the value of a godroll, as that would require tracking every individual godroll on the entire server and finding a way of getting a refund directly for those players, and that seems unrealistic. and even if they could, im not sure what they would give as a refund, because giving 200m worth of mana pool and mana regen attributes to these players would probably really mess up the new attribute market, and other kinds of repayment have downsides too like how giving coins would just cause inflation. not to mention how many players might feel their refund is not fair for them.
I totally understand that the new system will be better for attributes as just like with the talisman. However I hope it does not come out until after Jerry. As I enjoy my 80% mana reduction from 8x breeze 10 along with 1600 intelligence from 8x mana pool 10. I am hoping to be the first to do something during Jerry and if attributes are changed and I lose mana reduction or intelligence I won't be able to.
use endstone sword instead of hype on blaze if u use it every 5 seconds u can just use full crimson also you should only go through 2 dagger colors per boss phase and let the yellow daggers abilty damage the boss in the final phase of the boss u dps him untill 15m health and hold daedlous axe

I've spent sooooo much money and so much time into attributes and god rolls. It makes me not want to grind out anything in the future knowing the could just pull it out from under me at anytime cuz they want to experiment. There is absolutely no way they can "compensate" all the time i spent learning kuudra strats, swapping and testing attributes on EVERYTHING. They would need to pay irl money to me, for me to feel im not getting screwed as much as i am. I have chests filled with armor with different attributes it literally takes up a huge portion of my island.
As much as this is a good change, I am very upset because I used 2 Lucky dye on my 2 god roll aurora pieces ON IRONMAN the DAY BEFORE they put this forum out. So I have now lost 2 lucky dye that I spent real life money on, and there is literally nothing I can do about it.
Problem with the current system is, what if new attributes? Youre gonna need all new sets and everything again. With the new system they can add more attributes freely and you dont need a new set for every one

The only godroll item I’ve splurged on so far is a 10/10 inferno rod. As long as I’m compensated in some way for the 600mil I dropped on that I see this as an overwhelmingly positive change
Also what happens to extra starred/soulbound sets? how to compensate that only way i see is unsoulbinding crimson gear, atleast you can sell it afterwards
I really want to be optimistic and want the admins to really take their time for once and make sure this is done properly, but I don't think they can reward everyone with the progress they deserve. I don't see how people with multiple 10 10 armor sets and equipment sets could be fairly compensated, people like Future77 and 15h would probably have the entire update maxed by about 300% when it drops and that's just not possible. Also since god rolls won't exist anymore how would they compensate for that? Would they think about god rolls such as Lifeline Mana Pool or just completely forget that people spend millions on getting those exact 2 attributes on 1 piece of armor and not know how to compensate them? Overall I really want this system to work properly because having more easily adjustable attributes instead of needing multiple armor sets sounds awesome, just like they did with magical power and talismans, but my faith in the admins when it comes to not screwing over late-endgame players is unfortunately very low considering their track record (Angry Archaelogist bestiary for example)
I have faith in them when it comes to the general design of the system. I think some super ultra endgame players will get screwed over but also, that’s just what happens when a game significantly changes its features
@@Derailious I dont think any endgame players would mind this attribute change screwing us over once but we just consistantly get screwed over pretty much every update, almost every patch has some thing that makes grinding a certain thing 2 to 3 times easier, yes there needs to be QOL updates to some things but it's so incredibly demotivating to spend hundreds of hours doing something and then have it changed months later because they either didnt to proper calculations on launch or just straight up make it easier for no reason
@@Japieeh As someone who’s on the opposite side of that equation, and isn’t very good at this game, I totally get the frustration. I think that balancing has shifted to be more in favor of newer players, which is good from a game continuity standpoint but does obviously hurt endgame players. A solution that benefits everyone is pretty hard to come by and I personally believe that they’re just trying their best to make the game both playable and fun in the long term.

And, as others have mentioned, it's practically impossible to expand on the system in ANY way without totally redoing it. Those Farming Attributes, for example? i am part of a dc that showed me i can run t5 with just a 60m tank set, some skill, and a starter lava rod while i cannot cc (kill all the mobs) i could still contribute a lot, and this sucks for me seeing as im 4-6 days away from running t5s i see where you come from tho, the rep grinding and kuudra itself can be pain with no one else

I think they should keepattributes like they are. The kuudra armors were a good balance to dungeon armors. And if the remove the attributes what Reason is the to buy an aurora set and put like 50 -100 mil in it to star it if strom has 20 less mana. I dont want the game to be like before crimson where everyone was using the same gear in Dungeons and outside
Think beyond that, what will happen when the inevitable new combat island comes? How will it be able to compete with kuudra gear/CI equipment with their attributes? If they don't have overly inflated stats to compensate, people won't use it, and even if it was meta attributes would become a forgotten useless mechanic, because why would you grind to 10 10 gear if you can just get the new combat armor instead for the same time investment?

@@cuzimghust7229 Implememting attributes to new gear would help fix some of the issues, but still doesn't deal with the overwhelming problem that it's scaling is way too harsh and switching attributes require a whole other set, so all the other niche attributes that aren't the "meta ones" (aka vit, vet, mp, mr, mf, dom, spd) will see almost zero play as the build cost is too great for the benefit of that one niche, over the "god roll" set which has a way broader use case. PD: This also applies for new attributes you implement. If they aren't meta they will be quickly forgotten and never used, and if it is meta then you'll need a whole new set to 10 10

I am going to have 50 generic magma necklaces when this hits. All the attribute crafting is going to mean a gross oversupply of items even if they’re good.

The post states that those greyed attributes won't work *till you syphon them over to the new system* So yes, you can get the attributes back, but that's *your choice*. You can still keep the greyed out 9 9 rod if you want to have a legacy item instead
at the moment, probably. I don't really see a fault in that logic (unless you'd be upset by the concept of the attributes being obtained later easier / with less monetary investment
Personally i hate this update because im in a special case where i had created a whole system where big kuudra farmer would sell their drops to me and i’d sell it back into 10/10 armor (2b armor bought everyday) and 30people “under me” (the kuudra farmer) and at the moment i have over 10billions coins of 10/10 armors which are totally useless with the future refund because the business that i was doing was on my alt profile which is skyblock lvl 110 where i dont even play the game. And it may be better for the general player base bc they want simpler things (ironman players) but whats the use of kuudra armor if there isnt any attributes ?? In the end i hate the new attributes and the lack of communication of the biggest minecraft server who makes hundreds thousands dollars per weeks… (they should pay someone as a community manager, maybe u who knows?)
Well peoples godrolls are going to be worthless, the value came from having 2 good attributes on the same piece of gear. With the update coming, you could have had the same 2 attributes on 2 different pieces of maxed gear and get the same benefit.
The admins promise a lot of things, and no offense to them I am not fully convinced they can or will hold up those promises. They have had kuudra and attributes out for years now, if they were going to change it they should have earlier and not given up after their first fail in changing this system. Generally majority of people who play kuudra agree this is not a good change to the current system considering it should take billions of coins to get the best armors in the game. The best things should come at a price in the game and this is a great example. To me it seems the admins are putting outs tons of updates after not putting out any for a long time and are rushing them, not thinking through the consequences and results of the changes, as well as the timing.

The rolls will likely be stronger in the new system. This has happened a few times in the past in order to make room for new content. It sucks, but it needs to happen
I think a problem is people have spent billions on gear and are looking at this like their work and time was wasted. I am nowhere near the level of God roll gear but I think it's a good system because it opens it up to newer players and not locking it behind the super end game try hards.

Ye now sorrow would out mf it making crimson relatively useless because damage is so high people can use sorrow and still get good damage

i see your point, but the problem is there are fishing sets worth 20b+ not even including the dyes applied. these sets are so expensive and such a big part of nw and time invested, you would be crazy to not want anything from that

right but you’re not understanding. sure they’ll still have it, but they paid over 20bil for it, and now other people will be able to get it for insanely cheap compared to what you paid. I think it’s way too late to make a change like this, players invested trillions into godroll sets and I just don’t see a perfect way for this to be rolled out.

I do think it could be interesting if the crimson items which currently have attributes give you like… an extra attribute “slot” or something which lets you equip an extra attribute. It could be busters but it’d be a nice buff for early game crimson armor and armors which are carried by attributes like Aurora

I acknowledge the current system is kinda bricked, being limited to Crimson Isle gear, but I realise one of the downsides of this update is that, for anyone who has grinded for multiple god rolls of gear sets, all of that gear will become completely identical. If they went for 4 armour sets with level 10 attributes, they'll be no better off than anyone else who got level 10 on one armour piece, and all they'll have to show for it are 4 unremarkable armour sets. Still, it's an improvement on a flawed system and now is as good a time as any to rip the band aid off.
This might be true, and will suck, however if you're someone with multiple maxxed god roll sets, you're likely so wealthy that this wont put much of a dent in your wealth anyway, and with the new system being designed how it is, there wasn't really a way to preserve those benefits.

I think its a good change overall, but for the people who spent billions on gr kuudra armor sets its a bit ass. Honestly if it were up to me id make it so the attribute system wouldnt work on kuudra armor (or atleast upgraded), so the people who spent billions wouldnt be fucked over.

Let's all be honest, admins won't transfer the itmes fairly. They will not account for the fact getting attributes on equipment (lava shell specifically) is multiple times harded then on armor, they might not even account that something like MP5 costs more then LL5.
Also kuudra in general will definatly be killed forever, it wont make 80+m/hr with the new system, I doubt it will even be able to compete with mining. The thing that makes kuudra profitable in this system is the exclusive ability to get attributes, looking at the forum post you can see alternative ways of getting attributes, e.g dropping from mobs for example.
The admins said "do not panic" while realising the forum post at the start of derpy and with minimal information about the conversions, this is a recipe for disaster right here

i agree with what you say, but i personally dont believe that admins have a plan to directly refund godrolls, and will probably just make old attributes convertible to new attributes at a somewhat generous rate to try and make up for it.
the reason i believe that is because they do not say in the forum post that players will retain their investment, but instead that “players will retain their progress”, which makes me think than a mana pool 1 mana regen 1 aurora chestplate is going to be the same as a mana pool 1 and mana regen 1 attribute shard, as these are technically the same “progress”.
i also dont see any way that admins could directly refund the value of a godroll, as that would require tracking every individual godroll on the entire server and finding a way of getting a refund directly for those players, and that seems unrealistic. and even if they could, im not sure what they would give as a refund, because giving 200m worth of mana pool and mana regen attributes to these players would probably really mess up the new attribute market, and other kinds of repayment have downsides too like how giving coins would just cause inflation. not to mention how many players might feel their refund is not fair for them.
i hope they add less hp or hit based mobs in foraging island 😢 cause mobs like in crimson only late game players can kill

I totally understand that the new system will be better for attributes as just like with the talisman. However I hope it does not come out until after Jerry. As I enjoy my 80% mana reduction from 8x breeze 10 along with 1600 intelligence from 8x mana pool 10. I am hoping to be the first to do something during Jerry and if attributes are changed and I lose mana reduction or intelligence I won't be able to.
Tbh I think they are trying to make skyblock feel less like a buch of random minigames and more united. I am looking forward to the future.
I won't know if I love/hate this system until I actually see it in action ingame.

I've spent sooooo much money and so much time into attributes and god rolls. It makes me not want to grind out anything in the future knowing the could just pull it out from under me at anytime cuz they want to experiment. There is absolutely no way they can "compensate" all the time i spent learning kuudra strats, swapping and testing attributes on EVERYTHING. They would need to pay irl money to me, for me to feel im not getting screwed as much as i am. I have chests filled with armor with different attributes it literally takes up a huge portion of my island.

As much as this is a good change, I am very upset because I used 2 Lucky dye on my 2 god roll aurora pieces ON IRONMAN the DAY BEFORE they put this forum out.
So I have now lost 2 lucky dye that I spent real life money on, and there is literally nothing I can do about it.

Problem with the current system is, what if new attributes? Youre gonna need all new sets and everything again.

The only godroll item I’ve splurged on so far is a 10/10 inferno rod. As long as I’m compensated in some way for the 600mil I dropped on that I see this as an overwhelmingly positive change
Also what happens to extra starred/soulbound sets? how to compensate that only way i see is unsoulbinding crimson gear, atleast you can sell it afterwards
I really want to be optimistic and want the admins to really take their time for once and make sure this is done properly, but I don't think they can reward everyone with the progress they deserve. I don't see how people with multiple 10 10 armor sets and equipment sets could be fairly compensated, people like Future77 and 15h would probably have the entire update maxed by about 300% when it drops and that's just not possible. Also since god rolls won't exist anymore how would they compensate for that? Would they think about god rolls such as Lifeline Mana Pool or just completely forget that people spend millions on getting those exact 2 attributes on 1 piece of armor and not know how to compensate them?
Overall I really want this system to work properly because having more easily adjustable attributes instead of needing multiple armor sets sounds awesome, just like they did with magical power and talismans, but my faith in the admins when it comes to not screwing over late-endgame players is unfortunately very low considering their track record (Angry Archaelogist bestiary for example)
I have faith in them when it comes to the general design of the system. I think some super ultra endgame players will get screwed over but also, that’s just what happens when a game significantly changes its features
@@Derailious I dont think any endgame players would mind this attribute change screwing us over once but we just consistantly get screwed over pretty much every update, almost every patch has some thing that makes grinding a certain thing 2 to 3 times easier, yes there needs to be QOL updates to some things but it's so incredibly demotivating to spend hundreds of hours doing something and then have it changed months later because they either didnt to proper calculations on launch or just straight up make it easier for no reason
@@Japieeh As someone who’s on the opposite side of that equation, and isn’t very good at this game, I totally get the frustration. I think that balancing has shifted to be more in favor of newer players, which is good from a game continuity standpoint but does obviously hurt endgame players. A solution that benefits everyone is pretty hard to come by and I personally believe that they’re just trying their best to make the game both playable and fun in the long term.

Hard disagree.
Even if you have a GR set, Attributes have always sucked since they were added. And, as others have mentioned, it's practically impossible to expand on the system in ANY way without totally redoing it.
Those Farming Attributes, for example? That'd either require a SEPARATE source of Attributes, making GR gear astronomically harder to get (and locking those upgrades behind effectively needing a hyper/term, or being Hard Carried) because there's more Junk to roll now, or just Never Changing Attributes, in any way shape or form.

I'm skyblock level 198 and haven't been able to touch this system because it being restricted to crimson isle and that being so lategame, anyone who's "loosing money" has so much that it doesn't matter by that point
i am part of a dc that showed me i can run t5 with just a 60m tank set, some skill, and a starter lava rod
while i cannot cc (kill all the mobs) i could still contribute a lot, and this sucks for me seeing as im 4-6 days away from running t5s

I think they should keepattributes like they are. The kuudra armors were a good balance to dungeon armors. And if the remove the attributes what Reason is the to buy an aurora set and put like 50 -100 mil in it to star it if strom has 20 less mana. I dont want the game to be like before crimson where everyone was using the same gear in Dungeons and outside
Think beyond that, what will happen when the inevitable new combat island comes? How will it be able to compete with kuudra gear/CI equipment with their attributes? If they don't have overly inflated stats to compensate, people won't use it, and even if it was meta attributes would become a forgotten useless mechanic, because why would you grind to 10 10 gear if you can just get the new combat armor instead for the same time investment?

Also what Would be wrong with implimenting attributes to new Updates. Then for a lot a variety add new attributes to these new armors wich are coming with these updates. Or just do a simple thing make for every part of the game an own Armor. There are many solutions how they can work with attributes but in my perspective this attribute update is one of the worst solutions they can come up with
@@cuzimghust7229 Implememting attributes to new gear would help fix some of the issues, but still doesn't deal with the overwhelming problem that it's scaling is way too harsh and switching attributes require a whole other set, so all the other niche attributes that aren't the "meta ones" (aka vit, vet, mp, mr, mf, dom, spd) will see almost zero play as the build cost is too great for the benefit of that one niche, over the "god roll" set which has a way broader use case.
PD: This also applies for new attributes you implement. If they aren't meta they will be quickly forgotten and never used, and if it is meta then you'll need a whole new set to 10 10

So basically, i have a 9 9 infernal crimson god roll, so the cuurent attributes will be grayed out just to remind me that i had that. Heres my question, will i be given those 9 9 attributes back in the new system ? And will it give still the same stats ?
The post states that those greyed attributes won't work *till you syphon them over to the new system*
So yes, you can get the attributes back, but that's *your choice*. You can still keep the greyed out 9 9 rod if you want to have a legacy item instead

Personally i hate this update because im in a special case where i had created a whole system where big kuudra farmer would sell their drops to me and i’d sell it back into 10/10 armor (2b armor bought everyday) and 30people “under me” (the kuudra farmer) and at the moment i have over 10billions coins of 10/10 armors which are totally useless with the future refund because the business that i was doing was on my alt profile which is skyblock lvl 110 where i dont even play the game. And it may be better for the general player base bc they want simpler things (ironman players) but whats the use of kuudra armor if there isnt any attributes ??
In the end i hate the new attributes and the lack of communication of the biggest minecraft server who makes hundreds thousands dollars per weeks… (they should pay someone as a community manager, maybe u who knows?)

Well peoples godrolls are going to be worthless, the value came from having 2 good attributes on the same piece of gear. With the update coming, you could have had the same 2 attributes on 2 different pieces of maxed gear and get the same benefit.

The admins promise a lot of things, and no offense to them I am not fully convinced they can or will hold up those promises. They have had kuudra and attributes out for years now, if they were going to change it they should have earlier and not given up after their first fail in changing this system. Generally majority of people who play kuudra agree this is not a good change to the current system considering it should take billions of coins to get the best armors in the game. The best things should come at a price in the game and this is a great example. To me it seems the admins are putting outs tons of updates after not putting out any for a long time and are rushing them, not thinking through the consequences and results of the changes, as well as the timing.

The rolls will likely be stronger in the new system. This has happened a few times in the past in order to make room for new content. It sucks, but it needs to happen
I think a problem is people have spent billions on gear and are looking at this like their work and time was wasted. I am nowhere near the level of God roll gear but I think it's a good system because it opens it up to newer players and not locking it behind the super end game try hards.
