    Jesse Flowers is an exquisite guitarist, who takes time to really discover the hidden gems of guitar repertoire, particularly the ones that really highlight the different sounds the guitar can evoke.

    His focus lies on 20th Century guitar music in particular. Jesse also loves to arrange music for the guitar and works on various Lieder projects with the singer Julia Spiez. Tune into the interview and find out more about him and his story.

    BIO
    Jesse Flowers is developing a reputation as an exciting talent amongst the next generation of classical guitarists.
    Born in Sydney, Flowers was inspired to pursue a career in music while attending Newtown High School of the Performing Arts. He then completed his Bachelor of Music at The Australian National University.
    In 2014 he moved to Germany to further his studies with Tilman Hoppstock at the Akademie für Tonkunst Darmstadt. As of October 2017 he is undertaking a Masters of Music at the Universität der Künste Berlin under Thomas Müller-Pering.
    Highlights of his 2018/19 season included debut performances in China, at the Altamira International Guitar Symposiums in Hong Kong and Shanghai, as well as in the USA, in Los Angeles, New York City and Austin. He also gave his UK debut in London’s Wigmore Hall, followed later by a performance at the Aldeburgh Festival.
    Jesse has been a Prize Winner at many prestigious international music competitions, such as Salzburg International Guitar Competition and "Michele Pittaluga" Guitar Competitions friends among others.
