el es un trompetista y en jazz de USA. pero este tema fue un top #1 del 80 en esos lares . ritmo de funk gracias Claude Klauss por subir esta realizacio'n
Gerik Lawrence It don't get no damn better than BLACK my friend. ALL HAILS FROM THE MIDDLE EAST/NORWAY. Yeah I'm half egyptian/arabian and half norwegian/russian.

Compare Funkin' for Jamaica to the underratedToni Smith - Ooh....I Like The Way It Feels! - can you hear the simularities. Although Toni recorded her song 3 years later, she was helped Tom to compose this evergreen, which was also a small hit for the Evasions (Wikka wrap), which was released on Groove records. A wonderful label of the best import shop in London with an old lady who knowed soul!
Cara, assim, de boa, curto demais alguns vídeos daqui do YT, mas fico fulo da vida pela ausência de informações técnicas, tais como: quando ? onde? quem participou? Só prá registrar, porque essa cantora canta demais !
ct wilyums .NoDoubt...In the beginning when they were talking..they said "going down to 165st mall"..that's the Coliseum block right off Jamaica ave..Ja rule-"Murda 4 life" video was on that block. Also Lloyd Banks-"Smile" video..The flashback scene with his lil brother.
I was at a chaka concert quite sometime ago, and for some reason, Chaka decided to sing this song towards the end of her show, and I have to say in all honesty it was absolutely awful, the the point of being cringe-worthy. Even though their voices (and Vesta's) are very similar, Toni Smith was definitely the better vocal for this track.
Chaka would have murdered it alright. With all that terrible screaming she does. Tonni did just great. She is the epitome of a beautiful black woman. Sang girl.

what's dope is that it's a song paying homage to his home town of Jamaica Queens!!!!! NYC.
Joel Torres sooooo dope! It's just a beautiful thing all around!
Yes, yes, yes!!!!!!!! Brilliant song! That opening horn is like a clarion call for folks to hit that dance floor.
