If your a fan of tennis you have to be a fan of Djokovic, Rafa and Fed. They are arguably the best ever and I can’t understand people who don’t like one or the other when they have zero involvement with the players apart from just watching tennis matches.
Can you separate onto chapter so it’s easier to scroll to topic?
It’s so hard to watch all slams and atp/WTA from one source.

Love Michelle but I dont know if I agree with the whole not trying to pronounce foreign peoples names right. Most people understand that you wont be able to pronounce their names like a native but its about respect and trying. Its quite dismissive and othering to openly not care about peoples cultural identity. I think its a blindspot for many americans/brits who are used to being catered too and dominant culturally.
Also this is like no hate at all. Michelle is awesome and I dont for one second believe shes a person that would ever want to step on other peoples toes. Its also not that big of a deal. I just think its an unfortunate sentiment. Lots of love from my side.
Oh, I don't mean it like I'm not trying...certain words are really tough and I do try but sometimes it comes out incorrect. People mispronounce my last name more than they get it right and I am never offended. When I asked Iga how to correctly pronounce her name, she told me it was one way for an American accent and different for a Polish accent, which I think is what I was alluding to. Also, sometimes for the commentators (or like the radio as I was referencing), they are speaking so fast sometimes they make a mistake. Apologies if it came off as dismissive or uncaring, that was hardly my point :) I just know it can be tough and sometimes I'm convinced I am saying it right and still get corrected by people who are saying it incorrect! Even PEGULA is one that I know we all try but sometimes it comes out different each time. Also, like Yonex is pronounced incorrectly by many - I've been trying to correct myself every time it comes out of my mouth but I slip some days. But I'm not one to talk, people get mad how I say 50% of the words that come out :) all good, I never mean any harm or lack of respect!

@@tenniswarehouse Hi Michelle! No need to apoligize. I really didnt mean it as anything personal. I dont know you privately but as I said you seem super awesome and caring. Perhaps it stuck with me beacuse of personal experiences and I was more so trying to bring awareness to the sometimes dismissive attitudes that non native english speakers experience. Also to the fact that we sometimes can unintentionally come off in a way we didnt intend to. I guees you can relate a bit with your last name then hehe. I really hope I wasnt being too nitpicky. Maybe I was reading a bit much into an off hand comment. Keep up the great work with the podcast!! I love seeing that smile on your face when you are sending your opponent from corner to corner with your massive groundstrokes!!
