Great to see how you involve the next generation in your business. Fantastic to see a family working together. Love the insights you give to farming “State Side”. Viewing from Northern Ireland and love your channel!
Glad to see a man still teaches his kids how to run equipment and work. Respect for you and your dad. Love seeing younger ones take interest and enjoying it. Not only being able to operate it but to be proficient, have a great family there man.
Another awesome video.. great to see Sarah and Andy jr get some run time on the 9900. What a power plant that outfit has..WOW!!.. Dad looked pleased too. Thanks for finding the time to toss this video together.. well done!! Next chopping session you can turn Sarah loose to handle the chopping chores.. thinking she would look forward to that task.
Awesome video Andy! Awesome to see the demo of this new chopper. Would be awesome to see the new 9 series Combine harvester as a future demo unit. Love the new look of the 1100 Combine coming out.
In my spare time at work I spend a fair amount time on various auction websites. Today was the first time I came across a forage harvester and wanted to know more about it. When I get home from work, boom here is a video on one.
Great video Andy. Loved it. Great shots of the 2 of them in the same footage. At least you know you can leave Sarah to it now. Your dad certainly wasn't hanging about. Put the machine through its paces
I like it that Sarah said I dunno. And dad says you needed alone time huh. She says yah. With that much power I can see trucks having a real hard time in corn in the wet. Might have to use kinsy tracks to keep up.
Riding in a AC cab haying kinda takes the fun out of haying back in the day had to run across the fields and throw the bails by hand🥵🥵 great video keep them coming
An impressive machine for sure. Can’t see I’ll be buying one any time soon though with Australian dollars. Need the value of it to meet parity with USD first 😩
It's good to see Sarah pushing the Bub outta operators station....nothing like a healthy sibling rivalry to boost production. . . . Who is gonna sign the check for that new 9900 and will you keep both machines?
Who controls the position of the downspout for even loading of the truck? Does the truck driver speed up and slow down or does the chopper operator speed up and slow down? Who is in charge?
@@FarmingFixingFabricating Doing good, cows went out on grass today, probably start our first cut up here end of this week. Getting a lot of cool weather could really use some heat though.
I thinks hes a bit full. Thats a heavy crop in spots. They went with German Liebherr engine, instead of a John Deere engine due to the new emissions regulation, it would of cost JD a fortune to develop a new engine for scratch.
This is probably one of the best videos i've seen since I started watching your channel I thoroughly enjoyed it 2 nice machines getting the job done thank you for sharing as usual have a good one catch you next time
@@FarmingFixingFabricating I believe you would love the Krone Big X Andy so would Sarah & Andrew, the Irish love their Krone Big X foragers, because basically Ireland probably make more silage every year than any other country except maybe NZ! farmhand.ie/2017/08/30/krone-big-x-user-testimonials/
Sarah did Great loading that be herself. What do you mean, not too bad? Great video and family work. Nice to see and really proud of your son and daughters work ethic. Wonder where they got that, Dad? Good job.
I think newer is always better for operator 90%of the time i like to know wich one breaks down less forst thing i think of and how hard to work on just the one with def vs no def is one thing i think of but then the new one has lot more power .
Andy, hats off to you for teaching your children responsibility and hard work at such young ages. Very cool to see them help as much as they do in such a mature and professional manner.
I have commented before on how great it is to see the kids along side dad. It must have been a thrill for them to get to run a new machine. Great job dad.
I think it holds almost 400 gallons and I believe at full capacity it is running over 30 gallons of fuel per hour. At that capacity it's not the fuel per hour it's the tons per gallon.

Love seeing those kids farm !!! One bad mamma gammma chopper ! Never gets old watching it lay down the power!
Awesome looking chopper Andy

Awesome
It's awesome to see your patience with the kids!!!
Great video Andy
Great kids you have there Andrew ! Thumbs up.
great video all great to see the younger generation having a go thanks for the video
Thanks for sharing Andy, jealous for sure. Got to demo a 8400 in corn few years ago.
yes nice to see children out like 70 year ago here in uk get on with the job
Hey
Andy love the 8700
The 9900 is awsome in the corn with a 12 row head don't take long to load a 36ft trailer.
I bet
Great video Andy! Thanks for sharing!
I like it that Sarah said I dunno. And dad says you needed alone time huh. She says yah. With that much power I can see trucks having a real hard time in corn in the wet. Might have to use kinsy tracks to keep up.
Yes corn would be a hassle
Alone time with the chopper? You need that to get to know it, don't you? That is a beast of a chopper--wow!
been busy making hay so im catching up with videos but i thout it was nice to your dad in a video now maybe the brothers
The other chopper was slowing down a lot but this JD got it goin
It would be interesting to see the 9900 chopping corn to see how it does with that
We demoed a 9800 in corn with a twelve row, that was a beast.
Riding in a AC cab haying kinda takes the fun out of haying back in the day had to run across the fields and throw the bails by hand🥵🥵 great video keep them coming
What kind of fun is that?? Not in the Gulf Coast of Texas LOL
We aren't buying anything
Very very expensive but awesome machines
That 9900 has GUTS:) a lot more than my 6850:)
Who controls the position of the downspout for even loading of the truck? Does the truck driver speed up and slow down or does the chopper operator speed up and slow down? Who is in charge?
The trucks help out the chopper operator is in control
She's a beast Andy, but your 8700 is no slouch either.
There 8700 is more than we really even need. How are you guys doing?
@@FarmingFixingFabricating Doing good, cows went out on grass today, probably start our first cut up here end of this week. Getting a lot of cool weather could really use some heat though.
Love it, "who spilling more"
Always better with more power
How many children do you have? Do all of them help out on the farm?
5, yes
After first cut will you apply fertilizer or get someone to air flow it
We have spread fertilizer already
Should have watched to end. Said 12 cylinders!! Real beast!!
how many gal per hr does that 9900 chopper burn
It's not how many gallons an hour but how many tons an hour that it chops.
What are your thoughts on the 9900
I'm gonna buy one when we are ready to trade ours. We just aren't ready yet.
Where is Lafayette
Easy of us
Got a little close to the trees @4:00
Wasn't that nice
I thinks hes a bit full. Thats a heavy crop in spots. They went with German Liebherr engine, instead of a John Deere engine due to the new emissions regulation, it would of cost JD a fortune to develop a new engine for scratch.
You are right
You got any wet spots in your fields!!
Not this year
Never ran one with active fill. Dose it ever mess up. Can't see paying that money for that option.
It works good
Liebherr engine????? I would have thought John Deere would have stayed with Cummins. Why a Swiss engine anyway? Cost less probably.
Emissions and libherr and Deere have a relationship already with other equipment.
For general working in the field Hey
youneedtogetsatahone
sarah seems to do a much much much better job at keeping it in the truck
@farmingfixingfabrication - keep up the excellent work Andy @ The Hourigan Family Crew … keep up the fabulous work 👍😜👏
Hi Andy Andrew and Sara seems keen to run the demo great to see your dad watching from north east of England county Durham
That beast filled those red silage boxes very quickly Andy!! Lol🤣😂
Great video and chopper. Greets from germany
Who’s driving the truck for your dad? Bet they were nervous hauling for the big boss man. I actually bet he’s pretty laid back.
I think he filled every truck
Ye kany beat the bark from a chopper under load 👍,, keep it chappin, Rab from Scotland 🏴🏴
Sarah did give you a answer but I don't blame her if she wanted more time to run it 👍👍🇺🇸
Great video as always! Sara runs the chopper like a pro wont be long and that will be one less job ya have to do! Keep up the good work
Really nice machine. Got to hear Sarah talk a little bit. Need to put Sarah in a chopper and do a Facebook live from the chopper.
Jesus you’d need shares with esso for that thing. Nice buggy. Let er eat 🇨🇦
Would love to have a good run in one but i can tell you now i wouldn't love paying for one all the same lol
Great video mate as always.
Great job running the chopper Sarah
Hey Andy! Does Jared run the chopper at all? Always see him driving the W9 haul n ass back to the bunk 😎
He hasn't much
I think Jared is at an age where he likes Straight pipes...Jake Brakes and PBR...
Great job running the chopper Andrew
Good gravy, 1000 HP V12 JD. Curious the price of the oil change....and how many Gallons of engine oil?? Lol
Liebherr engine
Sarah and jr getting after it like pros
i see sara is a tool fan.... same here... awesome
Thanks for the video andrew
This is probably one of the best videos i've seen since I started watching your channel I thoroughly enjoyed it 2 nice machines getting the job done thank you for sharing as usual have a good one catch you next time
I'm glad to hear that
Awesome machine!!! Would half million buy one?
Yes plus another half million
Soooo cool can’t wait to watch!
Sara rules.
amazing machine
Andy have you considered trying out the Krone 1156 hp Big X forager? ua-cam.com/video/GSbXeTgHNF4/v-deo.html&feature=emb_logo
I would love to try one but there just isn't enough of a dealer presents to support one in our area.

It’s been great weather for hay but corn and beans need some rain pretty soon might not be much for second cutting either if it doesn’t rain soon
Hopefully by weeks end
Nice video! I would love try it out too. Maybe some day our dealer will have one for demo.
Nice video nice to see the kids taken interest in something What's machines cost Brand new
$10,000 per horse power
Farming Fixing & Fabricating HuH??? 1000 dollars per horsepower?
1000 hours between oil changes? That’s crazy, I don’t believe in the 500 hour interval! Oil changes are cheap maintenance
Great video, working with Sarah and Jr. The 9900 is some machine will get the job done. Thanks for the video.
Andy this was a great video you all worked as a team go home Andy take a nap the kids have it under control thank you for sharing this video 👍👍🇺🇸 .
Sarah did Great loading that be herself. What do you mean, not too bad? Great video and family work. Nice to see and really proud of your son and daughters work ethic. Wonder where they got that, Dad? Good job.
Great awesome video, love those choppers , 9900 is a nice machine , also very expensive, there’s always pros and cons to every machine
Great video, however it would look sharper with duals and duals allow it to carry and float better in muddy/wet fall harvests.
Wide tires are equally the same as duals.
Have fun transporting it...
@@dvanstraalen The duals on our 8800i are the same width as the head of the chopper. A good operator and common sense go a long way.
Mitch Feucht fair enough, I forgot about the width of those Kemper headers.
Love seeing Andrew and Sarah taking interest in the farming operations !
Well done Andy nothing puts the smile on your face better than a new toy to play with awesome piece of kit 👍👍😃
Seems like the drivers seat in the 9900 chopper was awfully bouncey

those liebherr v12 push up to 1100 hp in some machines, good European engine's
How many gallons of diesel per hour does it consume.. how big is the tank...
Now days you know they are going to perform main quastion how will it hold up they need to have u runn it for a few days and see whats wearing fast .
Thanks for the ride along Andy, Impressive chopper. 👍
I see guys use them with huge tip cart that works real good they chop into a cart then tip into truck but he you all know what your doing
I have commented before on how great it is to see the kids along side dad. It must have been a thrill for them to get to run a new machine. Great job dad.
I’d wait for the 10,000 model,,,, They’d have to make it ... “unique”. To earn the 10k badge
Good vid Andy as always... heavy duty choppin right there I say. And it's been beautiful out the last couple days down here in Ky
Great to see the kids also participating in the demo. That looks like excellent hay. Nice big fat windrows. Thanks for the video again Andy and family.
Hello Andy. Been watching all your videos. Liked and shared them all. Sorry for the lack of comments Sir. All my very best.
I think it holds almost 400 gallons and I believe at full capacity it is running over 30 gallons of fuel per hour. At that capacity it's not the fuel per hour it's the tons per gallon.
Really stacking it on the truck drivers today. Hustle, hustle
Thanks for the video, maybe your next chopper ? 😉
Brilliant video mate, geez that thing has got an appetite 👍👍🚜🚜💨
Did I miss where you told how many horsepower the 9900 had? There it is at the end 956 hp
Pretty country Dry weather helps. Compared to last year
Neat to see both choppers next to each other
