Aokiji doesn't have the same weakness as Todoroki. Aokiji becomes ice itself. He's not bothered by the cold just as much as you're not bothered by your own body temperature. Todoroki is still human when he uses his powers.

(i've been told already that they saw Aokiji's logia abilities, thank you for everyone that told me, so no need to reply to this comment anymore.)

Hmm, I feel like that's a better option. Cause the people in this island and Tonjit's grandson were jarring additions. We have a connection w Tonjit so Aokiji helping him has more weight.
I do like the idea of the mole tho. In the manga cover stories, after falling from skypiea, Gedatsu meets a giant mole called the Dirt Boss. Dirt Boss is then shown to dig from the island where Gedatsu was, all the way to Alabasta, meaning that he connected two islands, similar to this anime-only mole. They are also drawn in a similar style, meaning that this mole resembles oda's interpretation of moles. I like the idea of moles connecting islands in one piece
And that mention is another spoiler for LA since in the anime/manga it is revealed around +900 episodes. But at least what is still kept secret is the reason why he decided not to want to go up of rank.
Ok. You seem confused about comparing Robin's morality vs Blackbeard's. The Strawhats are pirates. Not heroes. They can kill as many as they want. There is a Pirate code that Blackbeard broke that made him notorious and hunted. The Pirate code is you cannot intentionally harm or kill your own crewmates. You can kill as many other people as you want just not your crewmates. Robin does not need to be cleared of those killings back in Alabasta to be worthy to be a pirate crew member of the Strawhats. The Pirate code is an unwritten rule, which the Foxy pirates using as well to manipulate getting crews. Like, Captains order is absolute. And they cannot attack their crewmates when they are a crewmember, hence that time when Robin become a Foxy member, she cannot help the Strawhats because it is against the Pirate code.
you have to remember Logia fruits turn their users into the element itself, so no hes not like Todoroki, he's Ice itself, he doesnt suffer from using it too much like Todoroki who's just a human with ice powers.
Oda cares abt power scaling for portrayal but never gives a ceiling to any character He lets the narrative unfold first Portrayal matters more than feats

@@YetiCoolBrotherCrocodile was insanely more powerful than Luffy in Alabasta but he still lost, same for Enel. Oda does care about power scaling, but he sets it aside when the plot demands.
and this is way long ring long land is important in the story. Is gonna happen again in later arcs but is a clever way to lure people into think things are just chill and there's not real danger until someone like Aokiji appears and change the game.
Yep, it pairs really nicely to have Luffy so confidently claim that he'd never give up even a single one of his crew (with all the crew working together and being jolly), to immediately being faced with an unstoppable force he cant do anything about, that nearly takes Robin from him (and only doesnt because he chooses not to). Where we see cracks start to form in the crew, honestly I'd never even noticed what seems to be Usopp's Water7 arc basically starting in these episodes too where he doesnt agree with Luffy's order and feels completely useless to the crew. To being faced by a hopeless situation where it doesnt even seem like Robin wants to come back.
Note: the filler episodes around 220 its based from a RPG game for PS1 named "Oceans Dream" w Note2: Aokiji are inspired from Matsuda Yusaku a popular japanese actor.
So for as much as I hate the Foxy arc, there is an interesting concept at play in the "unity of a crew and how it can fall apart", and of "how the strawhats deal with an outside force trying to separate them". With the end of the arc posing the question of "what if the separating force came from within the crew?" and "how does the crew deal with internal struggles" which is why everyone is just constantly arguing with each other this episode. It's not really connected to the next arc directly but it is thematically which I appreciate. Now for One Piece at a time: So, in Japan there is a story named "The tale of Momotaro" it's a very famous story of a kid born from a peach how went to an island of onis to take them down, with the help of a dog,a monkey, and a pheasant, with Momotaro himself being celebrated as a righteous hero. Why does this matter? The Admirals are named after the story, they represent the pets of the righteous hero: Akainu is red dog Kizaru is yellow monkey and Aokiji is blue pheasant. Also keep in mind that this is a story that Oda likes a lot.
And the three generals use the "three sacred treasures" of the Japanese emperors as their weapons. Aokiji holds the "Sword of Kusanagi," a sword born of a mighty serpent with eight heads, which calls for rain and is a symbol of courage.
So the supressing Crocodile thing - Aokiji is an Admiral of the Marines, if you recall back in Alabasta when Smoker and Tashigi saw what was going down they stepped in, because if a Warlord of the sea was attempting a coup it would (read: should) fall on the Marines to stop them. Luffy literally did the Marines' job for them, and so Aokiji felt a bit indebted to him. Luffy also saved Smoker's life, which is what I think Aokiji was going to say next (or he was possibly going to say this will get Smoker - who didn't want credit for Alabasta - off his back.) This debt is why Aokiji let Luffy live. It's imteresting because it gives a glimpse of who this man is that he'll repay a debt the Marines don't acknowledge, and honor the implicit rules of a duel, even after felling his opponent.
we get some cool shit that ties into the arc here, and I'm assuming you're far enough along at this point I ain't spoiling anything: -Robin being confronted with her past and her loyalties, as well as the danger the marines post -Luffy facing an enemy he just CANNOT beat and how that demoralises the crew -Usopp questioning 'captain's orders" -Zoro just going with what Luffy says stoically -Chopper crying -TH frog did the front crawl!
