The river can be reclaimed, revived, restored by using proper underground drainage pipes all over south Bangalore, it is expensive but it can be done, instead of free buses and free electricity this project should be taken by the CM

It is really sad that the once sparkling Vrushabawathi river, is today reduced to a sewage drain. It is still not late. When the mighty Ganges can be reclaimed in a decade's time, why not Vrushabavathi. I hereby urge all the local residents of Kengeri & adjoining areas to form a group to restore the glorious past of the river. The Government can do its part, by taking cues from Ganga restoration plan. Someone must start the process. Anyone???

Sir, am from Mysore. Whatever you told is real. Kannadigaru nirabhimaanigaLu. We Kannadigas always feel that the things which are not ours is better. When I came to Bangalore in 1991 after completing my Engineering, almost everyone in Bangalore I met, were conversing in English only. It was difficult for me, as in Mysore we were using Kannada only except inside class rooms. We are not respecting our own language. And Kannada speaking person was looked down. Now also in Bangalore it is not different. A bit change, now it is hindi and not english. We respect a lot hindi speaking people and their culture. We try to imitate their mannerisms etc., Any new locality developed, we call it by hindi leaders name etc., Even we didn't like our own Devegowda becoming PM. We trust north Indians as our leaders even if that person is least educated, highly corrupt, we don't mind. But if someone from South, immediately we frown and try to pull him back.
