- Is this America Or Indonesia? The Shopping Malls In Jakarta have all the America franchises such as Starbucks, Burger King etc. In this video I take a short walk around the Kunigan City Plaza In Jakarta, Indonesia. I show some stores and cost of goods. Also I stop at Burger King to try a Big Mac and it tasted very similar to the one I have had in America.

Who am I?
A man from the USA trying to discover the world one place at a time, while sharing the experiences through my lens. I like traveling to places that are usually not first on most people’s itinerary and showing everyone that these places are worth the journey. I want to experience all the countries I visit as a member of the society but at the same time learn about the culture, food and beautiful people. Growth is not achievable without leaving your comfort zone, so just do it!

Excellent vlog bro
Thank you so much!
Actually, kuningan is on smaller side. The big ones are like central park, grand indonesia, or Gading Mall, and Pacific place
Yes I’ve seen Grand indonesia it’s huge
Kuningan City is a small mall in Jakarta..
I’ve seen some of those malls in JKT… Some are fabulous, large, glossy, clean, and have stores that are selling luxury brands… However, in the long view can they survive and be sustainable? Are enough ppl buying enough luxury brands on a regular basis to cover the lease and maintenance and pay employees on all that flashy air conditioned space? I dunno. They would need to be doing a shipload of business every day to cover the cost of operating in such an expensive retail environment - and it has never appeared to me there was that much actual buying going on. Yes I see the many restaurants filling up and doing brisk business - but I did NOT see very many shoppers laden down with shopping bags with logos from the luxury brand shops… Time will tell. Time will be the Great Equalizer eventually. In the US plenty of big malls eventually lost their anchor retailers, then the bargain brands leased space and then they failed too and now there are vacant ghost town malls sitting empty scattered across the landscape from coast to coast…
These are all valid questions. I sometimes wonder how these businesses stay open if no one is going in.
Hope you have a safe journey thanks. Please eat more indonesian street foods it's so good

What did you expect from Jakarta? A slum city? Bro, Jakarta is a vast and modern city. Your title of the video is quite condescending. It gives cynical shade to us who read it, especially Indonesian.
No relax and get out of your feelings.
@@myertravels The fuck?
Low key depressing to see a small USA in Asia lmao. But safe travels, bro!
