I remember when khan sahib was in Kabul in 1970. I was 14 years old. Our King, Zahir Shah, loved his music and often invited him in the palace. RIP for beautiful and irresponsible music.
I was in Kabul at the time and heard Mehdi Hassan live at the Pakistan Embassy. I was only 12 at the time. Mehdi Hassan is my all time favorite singer and I try to sing many of his songs.
I think i should come to the earth again just to listen this version. What a melody!!! Full of glorious melancholic mood. Salute to Ustad Mehdi Hasan from Bangladesh
Overload of beauty of Khan sahab voice. Most beautiful voice I have heard. A very anxious person will get calm listening to this voice. No voice to compare that I know. This gazhal is on loop since 2 hours and I cant get enough of it. Lot of singers tried this ghazal but nobody was even 10 percent of Khan sahab.
Khan sahib voice is strong and silky at the same time. A rare combination that creates so much beauty. After listening to him every thing starts looking beautiful. It is like soft rain of beauty

Simply fabulous bhai jaan. Great one.You can note that Talat Aziz from India perhaps has tried to inherit some style from him. Some of Talat Aziz ghazals sound similar in antara. You may notice. Any way. Any singer would love and would like to simulate even a bit of Khan Sahib.

What is so special with the great Mehdi Hassan Saab was the fact that he could lend credence to any labz of the shayar owing to his majestic voice and inimitable style of gayiki ! What a beautiful composition it was ! How soulful the great Khan Saab was in performing it ! He was just incredible as a singer ! Whatever the great Khan Saab had attempted during his lifetime, he could do it with such finesse and perfection !
