Had a lot of fun watching this video. I played a ton with rain back in BW1 and BW2, hundreds if not thousands of ladder games. @@mamounyaakoubi I love toxicroak too but breloom counters better the classic rain counter like tenta jelli ferro and gastro and has almost the same healing mechanics except that it is useful even when sand is up
5:00 "Why am I not just using sand?" Well, one good answer is the possibility that you're making an anti-rain Rain Team. Yes, it's technically a gimmick and it relies on actually coming across a Rain Team in the first place to be your opponents, but it's funny and can be very good depending on if the meta has shifted more towards rain than sand during that time period.
this helps me realize i enjoy bulky offense THAT much more. its really generally better then like 90% of the HO crap i have in my head cuz i tend to lack either weather (not that i NEED weather),chip, ways to deal with residual damage as much and or just key walls/semi walls like ferro and tenta. seeing how good a bulk rain offense is like from this video with all the lefties and some protect usage seems to explain a lot more to me how key it is when building stuff like this. this seems to be the much better route to go when learning then just throwing out a HO that dies to anything that stalls it down with chip. So thanks and yes shiny is optimal agreed fully.
Rain is one of the first play style i ever play in bw and i fell in love with it. Tenta and ferro spiking and scalding everything. Tenta toxic protecting everything. Thunderous subbing on rachi drill and ferro great time great time
I would love to hear about Sun Applications. I know sun as style is dead, but im pretty sure you can still make pretty competitive and robust teams with Ninetales. I was trying Magless Dragspam and i think having either Abo or Ninetales to disrupt weather is pretty nice. Ninetales also offers a answer of steels and threatens a will o wisp on the switch, and if Heatran comes, you can put it to sleep. Ninetales also lets you fall back defensively into Cress for Mamo and either go for the syntesis or pivot back into Ninetales if Rocks are not up. Idk what the spinner would be in that case, maybe Excadril, or just suicide Xatu and let the Dragons keep the pressure with Sun up.

the reason specs koko is so good is that it's incredibly fast, and that it gives it a much-needed power boost. thundurus-t's speed is not nearly as impressive, and it certainly is not lacking in power. that and its stealth rock weakness mean it's generally not worthwhile. you can use a switch move thund to get the jump on something like latios and keep momentum rolling, but in that case I'd use uturn (+ thunder/hpice/superpower or focus blast) so you don't run into stupid mindgames against ground-types. lefties is the best item so you don't get protected on in sand and nothing else is really better. also gives you longevity in fending off shit like breloom.

I just was wondering what your thoughts on that were since you’re far more skilled than I. Thank you in advance!
Forgot to mention that it’s worth remembering that this set was inspired by the common Tapu Koko set in Gen 7. I’m more versed in that meta than I am in BW, so I was trying to see if i could find a pokémon to fit the same role as Tapu Koko does, but in BW.
the reason specs koko is so good is that it's incredibly fast, and that it gives it a much-needed power boost. thundurus-t's speed is not nearly as impressive, and it certainly is not lacking in power. that and its stealth rock weakness mean it's generally not worthwhile. you can use a switch move thund to get the jump on something like latios and keep momentum rolling, but in that case I'd use uturn (+ thunder/hpice/superpower or focus blast) so you don't run into stupid mindgames against ground-types. lefties is the best item so you don't get protected on in sand and nothing else is really better. also gives you longevity in fending off shit like breloom.
@@BKCplaysPokemon Honestly i hadn’t even considered running u-turn, but being able to safely pivot in to a latios while also getting damage off seems really nice. thank you for your response!
Empoleon?
agility subpetaya sets can definitely work as a secondary rain abuser. setting up on -2 latios is amazing.
Hi bkc :)
uwow
As someone who doesn't know much about BW at all, why is sun dead in BW?
you have to use ninetales and at least one magic bounce user and there aren’t nearly as many sun abusers as rain and sand
So the meta just naturaly evolved in that direction? Or was it any specific ban, like dug or sleep?
no chlorophyll abuse, no dugtrio, there's nothing it can do effectively. just gets railed by sand/rain/heatran/dragons/everything.
@@BKCplaysPokemon Thanks for the answers everyone :) kinda sad tbh that the "weather gen" is just sand and rain and no sun (and hail...)
How would thing go if chlorophyll and swift swim is unban ?
oh wow an hour of tutorial I just thought it was
1. Use Drizzle pokemon
2. Threw Ferrothorn in your team
3. let the rest be Swift swimmers or some Rain dish support
4. ???
5. Profit
swift swim is banned alongside drizzle
“ttar doesnt hit hard in bw”
*sees 134 base attack and stab stone edge and crunch*
wtf
edit: please ban latios already jesus
I mean, it doesn't
like i guess but it really doesnt make sense
does that mean band ttar isnt good? it actually just baffles me thinking about it
Forever annoyed at you for making this video because it’s the only thing I fight on ladder now 😭. Fought it 4 games back to back
Yeah BKC is not the reason why Rain is spammed in ladder
@@kayramah2531 I meant this team in particular
bro you talk alot but dont say much, you repeat yourself over and over and over and over, this coulda easily been a 15-20 min video you just like hearing yourself talk.
sounds about right
