He 's so good at finding his strides to each fence, it's like you can see him counting it off in his head for all approaches. So good, so fast. You are a brilliant trainer.
Great run! I think you should get extra congrats for weaving in and out of all the trees on all these courses …. Amazing! Love watching your videos and you really see a great stride when running at such a lick and I love your constant praise of your horse’s efforts. Great job!! 🐴
Thank you is all I can say. I fell off last year and it scared me half to death, so I quit riding. a year later, I discovered this channel, and my confidence boosted to 100%, and next week, im going to a lesson. Thank you.
Another great performance by Munson. All 3 ran beautifully but I think I see great improvement in Munson. He really seems to be coming into his own. Untapped speed in all 3!
This horse is just awesome! He has only one gear and that's "forward" - preferably fast. Add a couple fences, just for the fun of it, and off we go with ears forward! *yay* 😃🥰
I am interested, What you do to build up there endurance. Almost 6 mins of galloping needs endurance training, right?. He is a thoroughbred, speed is their game. He is just enjoying himself. Great job. But what do I know, I just came along for the ride.
I don’t have any personal experience but I’ve heard/ researched that hillwork can really help because they are able to build a lot of muscle, which then helps them have a more effective gallop. As for the endurance part I’ve heard that trot, canter, and gallop sets can be great for that (as in 2 min trot, 1 min walk, 2 min canter, 1 min walk, 2 min gallop, 1 minute walk), and then you can increase time from there as the horse builds up strength. At least that’s what I’ve heard🤷🏼♀️
Another great XC run and another high-quality video...thanks. I saw the Vets. at the finish but didn't see a post-run check. Was that edited out or did they not have to do one this event? Sorry Johnny had to scratch from the 4*; your guys seem to love the XC.
Oh my gosh, he is a strong beastie! He is so focussed and doesn't seem to like it when you try to get him steady it down a bit😅 I notice, just occasionally, that you seem to get really nervous just before you start (big big sighs at the beginning of the count down) - Is it some courses or horses that make you a little more nervous than others? It is good to know btw that you are human too! 🥰😀 I could not do what you do, hats off to you!👍😎🐎
Kernow everyone gets nervous, if you don’t then you don’t need to compete as nerves and adrenaline keep you sharp. There is a certain amount of respect that is given to the course. And There is a lot of adrenaline that builds up. Yes I take deep breaths in the beginning but then on course I’m not nervous. Just breathing hard because I’m working.
Munson is one of my favorite horses that she has. ♥️
Oh my gosh his strides...his jumps...he just ate up that course!! By the end he was like "that's it? Oh ok, well I still get cookies right?"
What are strides?
Basically how many steps he takes before the jump 😂 it’s hard to explaine

Wow. What a horse! He goes like a train- and still responds to your voice and other cues to slow for jumps and turns... WOW. That was a fabulous ride!

Breezing around a killer course and then spooks at buckets once he’s done 😂😂
Awesome ride, I hear you breathing, work work work! 😉❣️🍀

Joselyn Ensign they are worked 6days a week with one day of gallop(3 canter sets, 5-6 min a set, 15 minute trot, and 40 min walk)
Woowee that felt fast lol especially when he hit another gear heading uphill. I almost felt like I was riding him!!!
oh man, what a great ride -- he looks hungry for more haha, maybe intermediate soon?
What a good boy!
Fantastic
Love this! He’s so good!

Since it was so cool. They weren’t checking horses. Only if the horses were looking labored. Mine were fit and ready to go!
@@WallaceEventing Thanks for the response. Yes, your guys always look fit (and polished too)!

When you have to SLOW a horse down!:)
❤️
Fab Elisa ✈️🐎🐎
Is it me or is this a big 2*? I thought the same when I watched Sharpie’s round and Lee’s 3* was huge!
I'm about to make my 2* debut and watching this course actually made me less terrified 🙈
Johnny along for moral support?
👏👏👏👏🥇🥇
Or is it Riot Gear?:)
💕💕💕💕🐴🐴🐴🐴🐴🐴💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕
I kind of miss Riot Crew.
Yes, I miss him too - but obviously missed out on knowing what happened/where he went/or is he just having some time off? Do you know?
@@sallymowbray297 no. I can't remember. :( getting old:)
