Yeah the city is basically spotless. Theres however signs of wear and the streets have been permanently discolored from all the shoes etc but thats basically it. During my time in japan (sadly only 2 weeks) we went to tokyo, kamakura and FujiQ and i never saw or smelled something disgusting or obviously dirty. +15 points to Japans cleanliness
Guys, this is more fascinating than words!! I just can't believe the variety of vending machines and the amazing plethora of tempting products! Thanks for the great tour!!
Me and my son love your videos. You make us want to come to Japan. My son is very food phobic but your videos make him want to try Japanese food. We love your channel and the way you guys work together. Thank you
I would have sat in front of the ice cream machine and eaten every one of the flavors in a day. :) Now I'm going to go grab an It's It, I'm craving ice cream.
Thanks guys for all the detailed information on Japanese Vending machines. I used a lot of your location information with the machines when me and my girlfriend visited Japan this spring. We were able to find and try many of the items that you have reviewed in your vending machine videos. Some of our favorites included the jelly drinks, limited edition ice cream cones, and the pudding drinks were awesome!
Wow I was gotta say I'd miss fruit so much, but you managed to get apples too, amazing! Come to think of it, the only things we bought from a vending machine last year were dinner tokens🙈😅 Will have to do something about that on our next trip! 😊🙌
Really great job on giving us, who have never been to Japan, a sense of being there with you as you explore the vending machines of beautiful Japan!!! Keep on Keeping on my friend!!
Could watch this for hours and hours, didn't feel like 20 minutes more like 2 minutes. The variety is incredible, just awesome to watch. We do have here in switzerland just one type of vendingmachine all over the country, from one company all with the same products like some drinks and some snacks, really boring and insane expensive. Would love to do a "japanese vending machine survival" on my own one day:D I do love all your videos but this one was so unique, thanks a lot for sharing, hope you all are fine and I'm sending lovely greetings to you ^^
Thank you for the mention regarding the translation into German :) I made some small mistakes but I've corrected them. Hopefully they will be online soon, too. Keep up the good work, guys! I love your videos!
I'm from the Big island of Hawaii, I love hearing your local accent in a different country! You also make me want to visit Japan just to survive on vending machines alone! What a way for me to eat escargot for such a cheap price! By candle light, no less! Lol!
with the vending machines with beer do they ID you or is it based on a trust system? main reason I ask I know if there were vending machines that sold beer in America they'd be empty quicker than you could blink especially by people who are under age
I like the idea of vending machines that offer anything, I live in a small Town and shops here close at 10pm so it's a nightmare if I ever need to buy anything between then and when they open in the morning. Thx for showing us around parts of Tokyo :)
I remember those vending machines. They usually turn off at a certain time, then turn back on early in the morning. So, you can't go on a drinking or smoking binge all nite long. But they are convenient.
I still don't have a date, but I promise I'll let you guys know in advance! it has to be well planned, because I assume it's going to be long, at least 2 weeks to see the basics
Your videos always makes me smile..Makes me wanna buy a plane ticket to Tokyo ugh!!!! I wish to see you guys, soon cause I know you know where the good buys are LOL!! Love from Vegas!!!
Omigod... 19:42 - that's "Ayam Brand" (literally "Chicken Brand") coconut milk. Big brand in Malaysia (sardines, chicken curry, etc. sold in cans). It's not something you would normally drink, people use it for cooking. Quite thick.
I really enjoy your videos. Just found you on here a couple of days ago. You seem like genuinely nice gentlemen...and if we were neighbors, I'm sure we would be great friends. Keep the wonderful videos coming! I love to watch you sample different foods.
Mystery boxes??? Didn't see that one coming, have to try those just because. What an assortment of crazy cravings and non food items. Thank you for sharing guys!
yes, vending machine video and survival one as well :)) Like milk tea as well, Japanese Green tea nice also can get that here at unimart Korean convenience store here in Dunedin.
This is so much fun to watch!! My son can't get enough of this video, I wish we have all the vending machines here in the U.S. Do you find that the price of purchasing at vending machine more expensive/about the same than purchasing at regular (grocery) store? Nice video.
Those Glico ice-creams were a major thing here in Thailand a couple months ago, it was so big a hit that as soon as the employees refill them in the refrigerators, they're sold out-just like that! Some people had to wait in the queues in front of the fridges in vain, hahaha!
I like the vending machines, but do you think you could get down to the electronics market and let see some the mid and hi-end electronics? Ham radio and conventional stereo equipment would be great. Thanks.
It's very interesting seeing how many different varieties of things you can get from vending machines in Japan. Here in Australia you usually get things like coke and other soft drinks/soda, chips/crisps. We don't usually get ice creams and stuff, there's also no way they would sell alcohol from a vending machine.
The cicadas cacophony is quite soothing if you lower the volume :) I see that Summer was in full bloom when you guys filmed this. Also it's OK buying and drinking alcoholic beverages in public while in Japan? Also wondering if the Japanese population has so many option to snack while taking a stroll outside, why there is no a problem with people being overweight like here in the States? Also the candles inside the vending machine is pointless, because when you need to have a candle light up, that means the electric power is cutoff and probably the vending machine is out of order.
I know what you mean about the cicadas. If you stand right under them, the sound is crazy loud! Yes, it's totally fine to drink alcohol in public although not many people do. But you can drink it on long distance trains and at most parks and beaches. There are many snack options, but not many people actually snack. And if they do, they really don't eat that much. You're absolutely right about the candle. haha
These vending machines look amazing *_* but I have a question, sorry if it sounds silly. Does anyone know if you have to give exact change for the machines? Or will you get the balance back?
I was wondering if anyone could tell me the more exact location of the crazy vending machines because i would love to see the exotic food sold there when I go back to Japan again. Thanks for showing us the vending machines in Tokyo. I love that part of the culture in Japan because its super convenient to get these items at any time of the day and best part is that it tastes quite good
Hi Sinichi and Satoshi. Thanks for sharing this video about vending machines. I'm amazed to see how Japan has soooo many vending machines and so many items to sale. My husband and I are going to Japan next month and we are so excited to explore it :)
This is super interesting! I've been to Shibuya, but I've never noticed the omiyage vending machine. Lol. It's cute how the snacks and apples fall onto a tray-like thing and gets transported down. That's actually a really good idea so as not to damage the product itself. A popcorn vending machine! With a built-in microwave! Wow, Japan. Lol.
I miss Japanese vending machines so much! The only reason I survived the Osaka winter was because of hot Yuzu juice. Delicious - and impossible to find in the UK :(
I would love to walk around Tokyo just to sample all sorts of things from vending machines!
Same here
kingofalldoughboys I was thinking the same thing 😍
No yu wouldnt go to a real restraunt it coosts the same

What i think Is the Most Impressionen Thing Is How clean all Around the places Is looking
yeah dude they even clean the dark ass scary alley ways, in america you see an alleyway that smells soooo bad :C

Survival on vending machines! Love it!
America needs to up its vending machine standard!
I would have sat in front of the ice cream machine and eaten every one of the flavors in a day. :) Now I'm going to go grab an It's It, I'm craving ice cream.
I can sit with you!
I love these videos. Makes me want to travel there just to check out those awesome vending machines.

Wow I was gotta say I'd miss fruit so much, but you managed to get apples too, amazing! Come to think of it, the only things we bought from a vending machine last year were dinner tokens🙈😅 Will have to do something about that on our next trip! 😊🙌

asahi dry, one of my favorite japanese beers.
Great video! Please do more like this. I love seeing all the unique things Japan has.
I geek out every time I see a boss coffee machine. The logo is so great.
What a great idea for a video, next time get the mystery box lol! You should do a fall/winter edition with all warm foods!
You could probably survive by trying different vending machines for an entire year.
I'm from the Big island of Hawaii, I love hearing your local accent in a different country! You also make me want to visit Japan just to survive on vending machines alone! What a way for me to eat escargot for such a cheap price! By candle light, no less! Lol!
Aloha! So good to know someone from Hawaii is watching! Hope you can visit us soon!
with the vending machines with beer do they ID you or is it based on a trust system?
main reason I ask I know if there were vending machines that sold beer in America they'd be empty quicker than you could blink especially by people who are under age
It's a culture thing.
Its for cigarettes. most machines for alcohol dont.
Lady Malkavian ikr lol 😂
interesting video. you guys should do more of this! It's fun to watch.
I heard Satoshi
I like the idea of vending machines that offer anything, I live in a small Town and shops here close at 10pm so it's a nightmare if I ever need to buy anything between then and when they open in the morning. Thx for showing us around parts of Tokyo :)

I was thinking of the exact same thing :D

Those vending machines are so perfect for Introverts like myself, good drinks and meals and desserts and no interaction with people!
Such a fun idea for a video! Thanks for producing it!
Been about 2 months since our Tokyo visit....and seeing your video makes me miss Japan all over again!
Curious, were you allowed to walk around with the beer or did you have to stay in that spot?
Nope you're actually able to walk around with a beer in hand, but not many do. It's just something Japanese don't do I guess.
i guess you're from america? it's always funny to me what kind of stuff is forbidden and allowed over there :D
Actually I was born in Tokyo but moved to Hawaii when I was 5. I lived there for 20 years before coming back to Japan. :)
TabiEats nooo, not you :D i meant missladyhawke
***** i bet those machines have age verification mechanisms like our cigarette machines. kids can't buy from them...unless they have a real ID
This made me too hungry
I want to go to Japan. Just to take a pictures of the vending machines they seem pretty cool to look at.
Getting ASMR tingles from the wind
Your videos always makes me smile..Makes me wanna buy a plane ticket to Tokyo ugh!!!!

I totally agree! I like beers flavor but hate that buzz feeling!
I always feel like I’m his friend holding the camera. That’s a good thing, it makes me feel like I’m actually there.

haha. OK. will definitely think about doing that for you guys. Expensive stuff!
Omg I've always had a thing about vending machines- I love them.
Your videos are excellent
Love love your videos! I've been watching them in preparation for my trip to Tokyo in mid October! I'm getting super excited! ^_^ ありがとございます!
How exciting! Let us know if you need any assistance. Cheers!

It's actually about the same price as in convenience stores. So glad you son enjoys this video. Say hello to him for us!

Popcorn from a vending machine...never seen that before! Or apples with caramel from one.
Learned a lot from this video!
Wow, hot food from vending machines! I love the variety of items in all of the different vending machines. That chocolate bread looks good.
We'll make sure to do a winter version as well. They change things up for the winter.
My new favourite site. Miss Japan, miss the vending machines miss Lawson, miss Family mart and of course miss the Japanese people.
I like the vending machines, but do you think you could get down to the electronics market and let see some the mid and hi-end electronics? Ham radio and conventional stereo equipment would be great. Thanks.

I don't know whether this is amazing or sadly lonely. I mean seriously... they have vending machines for everything.

These "outing" videos make me wanna visit Tokyo, especially during sakura season. :)
The coolest ones I have seen are whole flower arrangements and the Bible vending machine.
Bible vending machines? Wow!
there's just something about walking the streets and alleys of Tokyo that for a foreigner is magical.
this is so cool. I basically could survive in Japan for 7days 6nights with only SGD$1200(minus the hotel stay)
So glad you enjoyed this video. Thanks for watching!!!
I really enjoyed your tour of vending machines!
Hi Sinichi and Satoshi. Thanks for sharing this video about vending machines. I'm amazed to see how Japan has soooo many vending machines and so many items to sale. My husband and I are going to Japan next month and we are so excited to explore it :)
Hope you both enjoy your time here. Let us know if you need any help.
Thanks so much, guys :)
Thanks for sharing such an interesting video ❤️
Love videos like these!! Miss Japan so much! 😄
Very cool video! I think, at least some of these machines have built-in cameras with face recognition software.
Yes you are right about that!
Wow, Japan. Lol.
Going to a park. "POKEMON GO PLAYERS" ....ahahahhahahahahha
Asahi beer is the best.
Great video!! We're still waiting for that Pizza review lol.
Thank you for sharing with us🎈💝🎈
I miss Japanese vending machines so much! The only reason I survived the Osaka winter was because of hot Yuzu juice. Delicious - and impossible to find in the UK :(
