4:00 Bender: "I can't keep running people over. I'm not famous enough to get away with it!" Laura Bush and Matthew Broderick: *Trying to play innocent and unaware*
The scene with the two cars launching off of ramps towards each other is a reference to an old commercial that was well known to people in the era in which it aired. I don't remember what the commercial is actually for.. maybe gasoline? And I think it was from the 70s. I tried to find it, but I couldn't recall enough specifics to do a good search.
2:03-2:11 - When I googled it the binary was gibberish, however I've seen some sources claim it means BOO, Redrum/Murder, or the number of the beast (I dont want to tempt the universe by saying/typing it)
A lot of the "stunts," like the were-car popping up inside the elevator, a well as Bender's were-car form and signature honk, seem to be inspired by the ludicrous 1977 devil-auto movie, _The Car._
There was a Simpsons episode I have on Blu-ray called 'I Am Furious (Yellow)', with Stan Lee who guest-starred, who was also one of the commentators on that episode's commentary track. He pronounced Matt Groening's name as 'Groaning', and Matt, who was also a commentator for the episode just laughed. Matt mentioned a few times how to pronounce his last name, but sometimes messes with the fans a bit about how to pronounce it.
1010011010 in decimal is 666, it is a joke on an old horror movie where they see "redrum" written in blood on a wall and see it in the mirror Why is Groening pronounced gray-ning? He has norwegian ancestry so the "oe" should be pronounced like the "u" in "burn"(closest example I could think of), my guess is people in the US pronounced it so wrong that he chose a "close enough" pronunciation, but I could be entirely wrong 🙂
I love this episode. Fun Fact:
In 2019, there was actually an article about a self-driving car accidentally hitting a robot!
It's REAL!
I love that so freaking much
The paris joke is a reference for the movie "An American werewolf in paris"
I never put that together 😅😅
@@no1takethisname
I like An American Werewolf In London and the title is a reference to The Howling Werewolf movie Series.
The 1s and 0s are 666 in binary when reversed in the mirror. One of many maths easter eggs throughout the show.
A joke i have been using since 2000...
"Night rider wasn't evil"
"Its window wipers were"

Bender had to spend a night in the castle to fully inherit it. Since he ran off on the middle of the night, he lost it.
But the will didn't specify that it had to be THAT night. Or that he couldn't try again. Or at least the episode never explained that.
@@marquis911 That's true. Too bad we never see the mansion again. It would've been cool for him to own it.
he could’ve just lied and said he spent the night like he always dose
The binary in the mirror apparently translates to 666. One of many incredbly nerdy jokes in Futurama.
I'd call that an easter egg rather than a joke
There are 4 movies, set between seasons 5 and 6. You gotta see those too to catch up
I thought movies are season 5
One of the most memorable episodes
2:13Come, Bender. You'll like being dead!
That’s what they say about being alive!
it’s funny because bender has tried to kill himself multiple times in the series and he once actually did it and became a ghost
Oh, yeah! This was the first full episode of the show I ever watched, and I love it! Great monster movie parody.
i seen the ads for months before the first episode aired that was my first episode S01E01
This episode very much feels like a Simpsons Treehouse of Horror episode instead of a Futurama episode and I love that.
This and the "what if" machine episode are very treehouse of horrors like.
There are two, maybe three, episodes I hope you get to...get your tissues ready 😭😭
Werecar? There car. 🚘 There… castle. 🏰
2:03-2:11 - When I googled it the binary was gibberish, however I've seen some sources claim it means BOO, Redrum/Murder, or the number of the beast (I dont want to tempt the universe by saying/typing it)
you missed the moment where the cap driver says "thats as far as go" and he is directly at the gate XD
Reactors have to edit stuff out to avoid copyright.
The full episodes will be on Eric's patreon
The killer car aspect of this reminds me of that 80s movie and the novel of the same name its based on, Christine.
A lot of the "stunts," like the were-car popping up inside the elevator, a well as Bender's were-car form and signature honk, seem to be inspired by the ludicrous 1977 devil-auto movie, _The Car._
2:10 it basically translates to = 666
I was all of history's greatest acting robots. Acting Unit 0.5, Thespomat, David Duchovny. My favorite line in this episode.
2:09
I googled that & I means murder
20 points. You need to watch Death Race 2000. It's an older movie that is kinda cheap, but it is so good. The joke is a reference to that movie.
Bender having a family, including an uncle is a little inconsistent with what we have previously learned about him and how robots are made in general
Definitely the Car and Christine.

2;42; oh my bender has bend run over by christine.
The blood on the wall is binary code for 'redrum' and in the mirror it spells murder
Man I love Futurama
It’s 666 in binary while in the mirror.
This is one of my favorite episodes I always liked Werewolves.

Nice
It's ironic that you would say, "I love how stupid this show is." When the vast majority of the writers for this show actually have PhDs.
Honk hink
the car cgi
'1010011010' is *BOO* in Binary Code.
