Don't beat yourself up man, this is definitely hard enough to go any faster, and the build's pretty optimized and you could potentially grind away to get near or under 18s flat. Judging by the other Holograms, you might be a world record candidate for a "legit" flier right now. ^v^ PS: One thing i like to do to keep motivated is once grinding for places gets rougher, grinding for goal times might become more approachable. @@Echo_the_half_glitch I think there are reasonable uses at low power core thresholds like detaching landing gear and having an unrestricted category is a nice thing to have through the space league, but your idea may also be necessary below that limit.
ScrapMan, for me personally, the camera/view has alot to do with my performance on races. I utilize that new (old) camera 8 view and the camera stays straight with your creation so you dont have to move your view around while racing.
Camera 8 is "behind the seat" camera which is very similar to camera 7 (sticky orbit), but whereas camera 7 maintains a global orientation independent of your vehicle, camera 8 sticks to the local orientation (pitch, roll, yaw) of your seat
I like to use the orbit camera like usual, but I zoom in very close to myself, great for precision if you want to line yourself up perfectly, and you can pre turn the camera to make it even easier to set up the next turn. Doing sticky orbit or other camera angles either makes the fov way too small, or makes it difficult to line up turns over 90°.
I tried building a plane for this challenge aswell. For me the answer was space thrusters. In Jet League with 15pc i managed 21.93 sec, and in Super Sonic League i was able to knock that number down to 17.61 sec. This was the first challenge i attempted that i took for real. Thanks for your videos, it was only beacouse of them that i was able to place this high. Keep up the great content.
My one comment throughout the entire video is: PUT ON SOME FREAKING WINGS!!!! And I don't just mean stabilizers I mean lift wings They will immensely stabilize your craft in the vertical direction and prevent it from losing speed swerving up and down, they would allow you to stay level. Not to mention, putting on powered fins would also help. If you notice, the top craft puts on wings in every direction, ensuring stability at high speeds If you make a box winged plane with thrust in the center it would immensely increase your controllability.
"Numerous residents of Race Island have reported seeing a large, beak-like object darting around the skies this morning, claiming that it moved with such alarming speed and maneuverability that even retired Chirpo pilots couldn't believe their eyes. Those who didn't see the object remain skeptical, with some even asserting that it may have been a mass-hallucination event induced by raucous partygoers indulging in expired seeds"
I really like these events. I don't play trailmakers often, but these races motivate me to build more creations. I hope we get more events like these in the future
I won't lie, I think this is just a fun race to run in general, top 3%(sub 24s) in formula league without any glitches. Just a decent tuned plane, with gyros. Because wings were not fast enough for the speed, but certainly helped with control and, with the bends, probably benefit pretty well to say "go that way". I could maybe at most shave a second on time without a new design, but I'm not worrying that much about being the top. It was just fun to run it a few times. I'll never forget a "ground" race that didn't stick you on the ground, I ended up being 2nd place on it. By using a plane. That was some precision flying for sure, probably hours of trying to get a good run. Sadly, leaderboards are cleared from time to time, so I don't think my run is still there.
As number 2 of Eagles Run Super Sonic League (At the moment of commenting) with a 17.03 and on controller, I will tell you how me and number one are that fast. We are both using a method of propulsion using gravity pads that isn't unlike the ufo glitch. number 1 is using drag glitches (same with number 3) and also using skis (Perhapskis?!?!?) on detachable blocks to get a large amount of speed of start. I personally have also spent 6+ hours trying to get the perfect run because like scrap said in 8:54, its just maneuverability and control.
the reason why I watch your evolution is to see a evolution of the vehicles you can take each disjoin and have a hour long video of customizing and evolving all participants. your the guru.

To answer your question at 1:51 :Preemptive regret is often referred to as "anticipatory regret." This term describes the feeling of regret or remorse about a decision or action before it actually takes place. Anticipatory regret involves imagining future scenarios and outcomes, often focusing on potential negative consequences, which can influence decision-making and behavior.
Day 5: Perhabskis one person builds a plane with propulsion and has to pull a glider up into the air. After detaching in the air the plane with propulsion has to land on the glider. Idealy the glider lands on the aircraft carrier or island...
For the last race I actually expect something amphibious, maybe hovercrafts or so? Also top 1 is always difficult, unless you know the correct cheese strategy to get there you'll hit a wall that you can't beat. You made some great attempts through :)
I only recently found your channel, and I'm loving it! I'm currently working on making a hit & miss engine in trailmakers, and I'd love to see you try your hand at it 🙂
so glad you took the advice from the race video, wings mean nothing when you have the power of Gyros, Reminds me of the game RoboCraft back in it's early haydays, Thruster crafts were basically this with a gun taped to it.
Yeah, at least the top 3 are all glitch in some way. Freeze frame at 15:27 clearly shows UFO engine and zero drag glitching for 2nd and 3rd place. Alvaroping1 is top in all tiers and I can't tell the mechanics, but I know in Drag Race and Centrifuge they used bionic glitches.
18:26 should have gone back to wings because the banking wings are way more efficient I suggest he try maybe 3 turbines (one in the back the others on a wing) then small jets to make it to the right league...semi big wings span
everytime Scrap man shows the thumbnail of showing his 1st built to final built, I'm always waiting for that point of the video where he realizes the thing h need to get to the final build :V amazing anticipation
You could make your vehicle feel a lot better by also adding static vertical and horizontal stabilizers at the back even if you also use some that moves for controls, and even if they're in line with the plane without adding any drag arrows. That way it'll naturally want to point in the direction of your momentum without having to counter-correct as much, making both your life easier and sending thrust more in the right direction along the way. Btw, I'm currently 3rd on formula league (12.73 seconds) using UFO engines (hoverpad glitch) and yes from what I can see here everyone at the top is using some form of glitch. Some obviously use no-drag and I even saw a weird 4 servos design that seems to be attached to itself somehow to serve as engine but no idea how that works.
Video idea: Make extremely tiny fighter planes Power core limit: 10 Block limit: 25 Weight limit: 150 kg If I can build a small fighter plane the size of a bush then so can you. Enough power cores for a thruster or 2 and maybe 2 guns. But for it to last longer I suggest only 1 gun and 1 thruster. (You can slightly change these limits in case there are any issues)
It seemed like you were trying to fly a school bus through an obstacle course. Maybe a smaller profile would help. Regardless, great job. Way better than I could do.
12:00 what if you instead turned that design flat. With the engines on the sides. Then you can have independent control over each side for turning. Kinda like tank steering.
You should set up your gyros to stabilise and stop any rotation of any kind the second you release your inputs, so that you can turn sharply, and not overcorrect, and, also, quite importantly, this would reduce the amount of time you spend flying sideways, which due to the size and length of the creation means your abilities for aerodynamics turn from high performance to the equivalent of throwing a brick wall. The ideal shape for this race is either a sphere, or a cube, since you turn and then need to thrust in different directions a lot. Every time you turn sharp you lose speed and the result is an unpredictable and unreliable flight path. Pick smaller engines, cluster them tightly. Make the aerodynamics equal-ish from all directions and you'll become a rocket that can fly as straight as a cannon ball, even after turning sharply.
OK, so I just got an idea from your armored car versus bomber plane video, except instead of bomber versus car it’s tank VS tank W separate control for the gunner seat. Another idea to add onto that is the gunner builds the turret and canon with a combined vehicle total of 250-300 block blocks?
