I am not necessarily religious, however growing up with this as a kid, and now as an adult, the message is clear that it doesn't matter who, what or why. Love everyone. The message is there.
I feel that. Every day. I'm an incredibly strong Synesthete. Meaning my senses are crossed. I'm also an incredibly strong empath with mirror touch. It physically puts me into pain to watch it on others. It is so hard to keep going everyday. It really is
We’re in the end times. With all the selfishness in the world it’s sickening. Even our families tear us down and leave us stranded. What have we become?
And with all the crap going on throughout the world over 20 years later I wonder how DC Talk would have written this song today? I mean this song has so much relevance today as it did in 95 but things are much much worse in todays society and not just in America but globally. I truly find myself asking just that, what have we become?
The concern over the state of our society is nothing new and has been expressed like this for many generations (and it will continue). It's important to have a sense of scale. What was sinful 100 years ago is considered 'normal' now. The question is: what will be considered 'normal' 100 years from NOW? I don't think I want to know...
Oohhh perfect background on this!! A few lyric corrections: You know it's true He **has died** for me and you **Just** speak your mind, look out for yourself Selfish, **cold** With selfish goals
What about mercy, compassion and selflessness? I've had to cry out to Father Yah to forgive my sins. 2 Corinthians 13:5- Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves. Know ye not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you, except ye be reprobates? 1 John 1:9- I we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

A good question for us in 2021....
And in 2024 for sure.
We’re in the end times. With all the selfishness in the world it’s sickening. Even our families tear us down and leave us stranded. What have we become?
