I've not been fly fishing yet. been only spin fishing up until now. made my first order on a fly kit 1 week ago. can't wait till i can try it out. this is so beautiful handwork, it's simply art! Makes me really hiped to try out some pike fishing with fly!! Nice job!
I watthed your UA-cam on weedless pike fly on Brammer swimbait hook. I saw you pinching on the splitshot for weight. I am using a conehead weight and tying it at various points along the lower horizontal portion of that hook. I am tying some flies with the conehead at different places to change the balance point. I even put a conehead on the diagonal part of the shaft and the flies dip forward. Think about it and let me know what you think, if you would like to. I have not been able to fish them for pike or musky yet, I loved your halibut video. I live in North Dakota USA and am a long way froaltwater. The halibut video was spectacular. You and Gunnar Brammer are my favorite tying and flyfishing videos. Your innovations have helped me build pike and muskie flies. Tight lines , Kirk Peters, Hazen ND, USA
What a great idea with the worm hook. That pattern will work great in Australia on Murray cod amongst the snags👍👍👍. Thank you for sharing that pattern.
Absolutely mortal pattern! Yesterday in the vegetation (they could be cast almost) everywhere, third meter pike for me (and the second on this pattern). A little more dull than the one shows by Niklaus here, simply a sort of roach. Try these babies they works deadly! 5minutes later another of 89 cm. Thanks master Niklaus.
Nicolaus thank you please advise what kind of vise you are using and the kind of stand you use for holding your flash. Both will make my bucktail building easier. Enjoyed the video, well done.
Another great tie. Niklaus got me interested in pike flyfishing with the video Mean Green Fight Machine but I never caught one on the fly. Where I am from (north of Portugal) there's not many places to fly fish for pike specially without a boat, which I don't have. Probably my flies are not the best either 😂 be kind to send me the fly to see if can at least have a strike. If you don't, please continue to post videos. I'll be happy too. All the best.
Still jealous of your tying skills mister Bauer. Somehow I always end up out of space at the hook eye even though it looks like you use more material than I do 🤯. Oh well must be those years of experience of chasing pike and weed 😉
Hmmm what would I do with a fly tied by mr Bauer himself? I’d be tempted to just frame it and hang it on the wall.....but nah I’d probably try to pull some pike out of the ever growing thicker weedbeds here in the Netherlands! 😬
It’s available in most stores who sell Fly-Dressing products in Sweden and some in Europe. It’ll soon be available at kanalgratis.se as well 👍🏼 /Pontus
Dear Niklaus, I really love you work . But I have a demand : can give in the description the size of the different models? Indeed is not always easy to see the size and the different proportion just by looking the video. I think giving the size of the different model is also a good way to see the differences between the model. Thank you for you awesome work
1st time I've watched fly tying video, omg that's amazing a hobby in a hobby.

Awesome Niklaus! This is like an art project that catches fish!

Perfect Fly for my first Pike with a fly rod. Can´t wait until the closed saison is over here in the south of Germany
Good job pal, impeccably tied.

Awesome fly 👍
Great tying and very clear explanations. Thank you
We’re glad to hear you like these videos!
Detta var en jätte bra video för de som precis har börjat att binda egna flugor och även för lite mer erfarna 👍❤️
Kul att du gillar den! ❤️
Denna är riktigt bra om man är helt nybörjare på flugbindning:

This looks awesome, so far I have only used 5 or 8g jig head flies for pike here in the uk. That said the pike love them
Really cool pattern😎. I will tie it until the late summer begin and we will see what will happen in the weed banks😁👊
Been waiting for this all day!!!! 👍👌🤟
Another great video! Wish we had pike here.

Nice one 👍 Another greeting from south Germany 😉
Nice looking fly ! I need to get some dragon tails. I don't do much Pike fishing, but I live 1/2 mile from a river that has muskies in it.
Already follow you guys on Instagram... love the fly, I just find it hard to believe that you will send this to Canada if I win it!
Nice Fly!! Ans Really nice Color :D
Шикардос.
Looks like something i need to try out 🎣
Great video! What is the length of the dragon tail connector wire? And the diameter of titanium wire? :).

Is there stil a list with the used materials?
Greetings from Belgium! 🎣
hello boy ... congratulations for your work ... I can know where you buy the materials and what do you use !?
Sweet! Thanks man
Now that you went through all this to make it, wrap it up and send it to me. Nice job there! ;)

I have taken a pike of 101 cm today on your Fly Niklaus. A black version weedless and barbless of course.
New drinking game:
Take a sip everytime Niklaus says "Run".
Anyways, nice fly! :D
Hi Nicklaus please can you tell me where you got you rotating flash stands from cheers
Yesssssssssss this is the shiiiit! I’ll be giving this a go! But please send it to me so I can copy 🤣😘🤘
