Mas Que Nada was written by Brazilian musician Jorge Ben Jor in 1963. Ben experimented with Samba, Bossa Nova and was a figure in the Tropicália movement. The song became an international hit when Sérgio Mendes and Brasil 66 covered it a few years later. It is one of the most iconic and well-known standards of Brazilian jazz and Bossa and a personal favourite.
