My suggestion about the clippers is to let him watch daddy get his hair cut with them. Put a long guard on and"shave" the back of his head and let Kailand watch, maybe even pretend to do it to Maddox and show Kailand how brave even the baby was. Let him touch the clippers while they are on and feel the vibrating, do it yourself first and show him that it tickles, even put your hand on the guard when they are on to show it doesn't hurt. It also looks like it's the noise of them that got him going, so maybe turn the computer up real loud or give him some earbuds so he doesn't hear em coming. I'm not even beyond bribes to get it done, it was a huge struggle in my house lol.

I used to use a beard trimmer for my son because a regular hair clipper was just to big and noisy and scared him, but the beard trimmer is smaller and quieter and makes haircuts so much easier.

My nephew HATED having his hair cut but it made all the difference to sit on his moms lap while the clippers were being used. She was able to provide that extra bit of comfort to get them through it although he still didnt like it.
you try to give him a haircut when he's asleep. or you could make the clippers look a truck. the sharp part would be the bucket thing that picks up stuff. you could paint it and glue little wheels on it so he thinks it's just a truck touching his hair. I'm sure there is a diy or you could probably buy it
My parents would cut my brother's hair when he was sleeping. A little underhanded and I am not sure how appropriate or safe that was. As he got older, a favorite toy or snack was used as an incentive. You may want to try taking him to barbershop when Austin get his own hair cut. Maybe that would help him get use to the buzzing sound and knowing that Austin (dad) survived the clippers.
for my son's first haircut he was crying and very afraid. that was until he was given a spray bottle of water and drenched my mom while his hair was cut. funny distraction helped a lot. also helped letting him feel the "tickle" of clippers.
My son who is now 11 STILL has issues with the clippers. He has Autism, which means neuro sensitivity to anything like that. We just kept working with him til he let us use it on him. We have to just do it quickly, otherwise he ends up a sweaty mess. We started by letting him touch the clippers and see that it doesn't hurt. We made him realize it's a tickle feeling and no owies. We notice that he will sit better for a stylist than his parents, so we do take advantage of that and spend the money to get his hair cut by someone else. Just keep at it and don't give up with getting him accustomed to the clippers. Over time, he will get desensitized to it and will realize that there is no pain and he can tolerate the tickle like a big boy. Love yall!

That haircut is cute. This is how I cut my 2 year olds hair. The Mohawk style is easy to maintain for toddlers and it's cute. My husband is white and I'm black so my son is mixed and this hairstyle I loved so much. I put him in his high chair with the tray, give him his trains and cars and trim the sides of his hair. I then put lotion in his hair, brush the top, brush the sides, use oil and curl spray because I love his curls on the top, and let it go. I trim his hair once a week...just the sides though and everyone loves it....it's so cute and this hair cut is perfect for little boys. Maybe do it as a fun thing, like daddy gets his haircut, so he's going to get his hair cut...make it fun.
They have a book and a little boy baby doll . With many play clippers and he can play with it while he gets his haircut. it definitely helped to my little cousin who was so terrified it.
