Super Mario Maker is still the absolute best portable game because a player really gets his money's worth with 120 official levels and unlimited user created levels.

Not unless you replay the worlds to grab all the special coins in 1 run and also compete in toad rallies to level up and have a kingdom full of neat buildings and decorations. I just hope they constantly add new stuff with every update because this is going to get in old in 2 weeks.

Kinda reminds me of those good old times of fanmade Mario flash games (like Super Mario 63) and PC gaming (especially Touhou). Thanks a lot Miyamoto and your team for making this actual good mobile game as well as the automatic cloud save backup. Sure, the game could have been much cheaper and bigger but I really went for 100% completion though.

The amount of people misunderstanding the game is too damn much. Yes it takes about 45 minutes to rescue peach, But then you still have the coin challenges (pink, purple, black) And toad rally etc! If you're really good it takes about 12 hours to complete the full game. IMO That is worth it!

Super Mario run is a disappointment because it's the very definition of mediocre, the fact it takes up 75mb per minute of data usage draining your battery (and data plan if you don't have unlimited), costs $10 and locked the content behind a paywall rather than making 2 separate apps of a paid and a demo like everyone else, PLUS always having to be online to combat piracy on mobile when hackers can easily crack any mobile game in less than 2 weeks which forces you to always use data and be online makes it an utter piece of garbage You think people in the west are harsh? Look at Japan, the entire community is ripping that game apart bit by bit with critical yet constructive criticism than we are. It's not a matter of money, it's a matter of poor quality and bad business tactics and bad technical restraints when the rest of the mobile store has far more better quality runners, better quality paid apps, and better Mario games to play on consoles and handhelds that has far better replay ability than this Nintendo drones and mobile whalers in general are the fucking worst

It takes working 12 hour days and costs a lot of money. Nintendo have money and talent, but a game like that will still take a fairly big team working normal hours about 6 months. Games development is always hard is the shortest answer.
