  • These pictures are taken at Toribari and Samthar. Toribari is a village adjacent to Mahananda wildlife sanctuary. The river Gulma flows next to this village.
    Samthar village in Kalimpong, is at 65km from NJP. This little charming village is famous for its views of the mountain ranges - Kangchenjunga. Both these villages host lots of beautiful birds, you just have to keep your eyes open!! Birds included in this video are
    Blue fronted redstart, Whiskered yuhina, Blue-throated barbet, Blue whistling thrush, Himalayan Black Bulbul, Ruddy shelduck, Short-billed minivet, Verditer flycatcher, Ashy woodswallow, Red-whiskered bulbul, Red-naped ibis, Rufous sibia and Leaf warbler.
