    OMG my jaw dropped, they are stunning dolls. The outfits are amazing, the hair, amazing, I just loveeeee to be reminded how exceptionally made these dolls were. Meygan is utterly stunning, her and Yasmin were always my favourite dolls, I'm a sucker for redheads 😁

    Oh man I love your bratz videos sooo much! They are very satisfying for me to watch bc I always wanted the dolls when I was a kid. When I brush out my synthetic wigs I do them wet with a conditioner with silicone in it for glide and with a tangle teaser. I so highly recommend the tangle teaser brush because it wont pull the synthetic strands that ends up stretching and tearing them! They all ended up so beautiful and the makeup idea is so smart :)

    I also love doing Bratz restorations too (found a boy and big head in a UK charity shop this year, how exciting!)

    Great video, such an enjoyable watch :-)

    The funny thing about Chloe’s hair staying so good is I think a large part of the reason had to do with those plastic bits left in her hair. It wasn’t allowed to flow about as freely and get tangled so you almost got a Chloe fresh out of the box, how cool!

    For fixing chips, you can actually use acrylic paint / watercolour pencils / pastel chalks or even eyeshadow and use a sealant (mr super clear is used by many doll restorers) and it won’t ever smudge 🥰

    loved the video ! something i would take note to in the future is to not brush out the hair while it's dry, and to wash or wet it first. brushing while dry can make them lose a lottt of hair, a lot more than usual. i have dolls that have bald spots bc i did this :( another thing is to use a comb! using a smaller comb can rlly help get all of the knots and tangles out. and for boil washing, i heard that sometimes u have to do it many time for it to get fully straight. i haven't ever done a boil wash bc i'm too nervous, so i can't say if doing it many times helps, but it's worth a shot ! can't wait to see any future bratz content from u in the future, i love ur collection :)

    Hi I’m new but I really like big dolls
    The boil wash works but the fabric softener usually makes the hair puffy because it’s made to fluff fabrics
    It’s better if you use hair conditioner cause it doesn’t fluff and makes the hair look pretty

    OMG no !!!!!! i cried a little inside when u straight started brushing that dirty hair !!!!!! when u get this damaged doll hair you need to wash it with shampoo, and a lot of hair conditioner (yes its ok), without brushing at all, with hot water, profusely and dont rinse, try to untangle it with your hands and a brush while still with the hair conditioner and use a little hot water to rinse from time to time but still dont rinse it at all, after a few minutes you can rinse it all, even if its not fully untangled, then do it again, shampoo it and apply a lot of hair conditioner, this time with a brush it should untangle well, never ever leave the doll in the hot water pan !!!!! when u use the almost boiling water you have to submerge the doll for a few seconds diving her hair all through it, and pull her out after a few seconds, brush, try to put conditioner in the hot water pan too, then sit her down with her brushed hair in the style you wish she has, and pour almost boiling water on her, slowly, trying to keep the hair in the position style that you want, thats when their hair is messed up to one side or something and u want it straight to a different position, then let her dry all night in the bathroom with the window open, its very easy, please dont destroy them !!!!!

  • @frankfrankfrank428
    @frankfrankfrank428 Рік тому +2

    Hi im a doll colector too fabric softener/conditioner isnt really good for detangling doll hair and is not good for the envirement and can make the dolls hair dry after a few months while conditioner is a better option while you do have too rewash it every few months its a better option i recommend using conditioner first then while boilwashing add the fabric conditioner in the water i do this sometimes to my dolls with nylon or polypropelene hair :)

    I love this video!💕
    I have actually started using a new technique on how to detangle doll hair more easily.
    What I do is I wash the hair with shampoo first - yes, with all the knots and everything - and then wash it all out.
    After that I put lot's of conditioner in the hair and then start to brush. The conditioner makes it a lot easier to detangle and help against friss. Then I wash it all out again and boilwash it if necessary.
    It's just a suggestion and I've mostly done it with monster high hair, but maybe you could give it a try?😊👍🏻

    yay! Absolutely love when you do Bratz videos! They turned out amazing, the matching makeup for the lips… it was meant to be! So, quick tip for the next time you have to do doll hair: the last thing you want to do is brush! The hair is full of knots and dirt, as we saw in your hands 😄 so you actually want to wash it first, then condition it (I prefer conditioner other than fabric softener cause it makes the hair slippery), and THEN you brush with the conditioner on, it makes the process much easier, you’ll break way less hair, plus it doesn’t make the hair all puffy! Hope this helps! 💖

    As others already suggested, you could use acrylic paint to repair paint chips. Acrylic paint is practically turning into waterproof plastic when it’s dry so it will stay on perfectly. The only down side is that you would probably have to buy a big set and mix the colors to match them. Also be aware that some colors like red sometimes bleed into the plastic and stain the surrounding skin.
    For the lip with the shimmer effect I would look up mica powder on Amazon.
    As suggested you could also use soft pastels and watercolor pencils like ooak artists and doll repainters but you would definitely need a sealant like Mr. Superclear which is expensive and hard to come by. Also you would have to keep in mind that it will matten everything it seals if you would like to keep parts shiny.
    I would highly advise against felttips because they just smudge and are not waterproof. As well as sharpies and alike which are alcohol based and are waterproof but tend to bleed horribly and permanently stain the doll. Also they are not opaque like acrylic paint would be and probably wouldn’t look that good.

    • @sabaqumurasaki7513
      @sabaqumurasaki7513 Рік тому

      *also since the boil wash did so little to the hair, it could be that the hair is pretty heat resistant. That means you could maybe try to use human hair styling tools like flat irons or hair curling irons on them. Start on the lowest possible setting and try it out first with a very small section you could easily cut out if it gets messed up. If the hair doesn’t melt, you can go on and try styling it that way! I would recommend flattening everything first and then recurling it.

    Gorgeous transformation! A little warning when it comes to using make-up products on vinyl dolls, though! Since it tends to contain oil, it might stain and bleed into the vinyl. You can probably find doll face-up artist close to you and commission them to do touch-ups. That way they could also get off any marks and redo the blush.

    fabric softener is not good for synthetic hair. it degrades the hair fibres over time and should not be used. especially on saran and nylon hair. fabric softener is just iffy in general, better to use conditioner.

    Hi! I’m a doll customizer and I want to let you know (if you haven’t already) DO NOT use felt tip markers for the face of dolls!! Ink can seep into the vinyl and spread out over time and this will cause a non-removable stain. I’d recommend using just craft/acrylic paint for the eyebrow for a permanent soloution that also won’t damage your doll!!
    But overall you did a great job restoring them!!

    To help tame the hair, perhaps try wetting section by section and using a straightener on how heat? I’ve seen it work for so many people on their dolls

    Megan & Chloe are gorgeous😍 Love their outfits as well.. Yasmin’s always seemed a little frumpy to me. Legless Yasmin’s hairstyle come out great w the braids though. Well done🥰

    You need to use Fabric softener like a conditioner for the hair. I did that with my small ones and it made the hair super soft.

    Hi Isabella,
    Great job😍 & you made it really fun to watch!👍😂. Tip: Acrylic Paints & Mr. Superclear sealant make the feature renovations permanent.
    Retrieving essential items from vacuum bags: All of over 40yo have had to do this🙄😂You’ll need latex gloves & a face mask; Open out a big plastic bin bag, place on floor,carefully open the vac bag & gently empty it onto the bin bag. Find the item then bin the mess. Easy!😜😘

    For the curls you might be better off just twisting them and then securing the coils, thats what i do with mine and it gives a more natural curl and is easier to control what way they go. Or, you can use the bendy tube curlers.
