Which does this wear out faster.....the clutch or the belt? Or both? Pretty expensive way to pull a boat .... accelerating the wear on expensive parts.
O that's cool I know my 2008 Yamaha Raptor 250 could not do that without breaking the transmission but I still can't believe that little polaris pulled that fiber glass boat that's amazing
@Polaris500Indy did you fix the 4x4? You probably did though since it's been about a year since this upload. But I had the same problem with my boat, I just pick up the the tunge of the trailer, and place it on the back of the mower by myself. I don't use the jack. But have a good one, and once again, nice vid
purchased a 500 years ago when thefirat came out and the dealer gave us a hitch would pull a medium sized trailer with it and burnt up the belt no big deal had a warranty went to dealer to get a new one they asked how it happened told them and they said you're not supposed to tow with it laughed and said then why the free hitch
ya, but it is even lower to the ground lol and i used it last year and it could barley stop the boat with the brake system on those little yard tractors...
I pull my boat with my lawn mower all the time. Nice vid though. Next time, try and creep forward slowly, and you should have sat on the back of it for more wieght
I can't believe that Polaris 400 pulled that damn boat I was surprised when I saw that kid move it was your dad pissed off that you moved that without his permission.
@TheHondadirtbiker ya i know haha, and my 4x4 was broke during this so it didnt help and about the john deere i got... the boat doesnt lower down far enough to hook to the ball
The suspension is not compressed at all silly boy the hitch is attached to the axle making it part of what is called the unsprung load. Nothing at all amazing about this that 4 wheeler will move even heavier loads, Good driver though nice smooth reversing and throttle control except for the initial part getting the trailer moving , less throttle, has off clutch in the moment the wheels start spinning allow the trailer to rock back and then clutch out a bit of gas to prevent a stall and ease forward and repeat it will usually pull the trailer wheels out of their resting position on the second go at it. Erving and spinning the arc tires creates divots which make it harder to get going and once the tires are spinning they have less friction With the ground and therefore less traction.
I like the way the leaves were laying on the ground here. Very nice view.
wow, the springs are so compressed! i hope you realize that all the weight gets put directly on the axle, and not the suspension...

how about filming the polaris and boat, instead of the ground !
that polaris jacket is beast.where did you get it
I have a polaris scrambler 500 also they are awesome, where did you get that hitch,I have been looking for one and I cant seem to find one

At least you didn't turn it into a 3 wheeler like my friend XD
'the suspension is so compressed'???? There only suspension for the driver, there is none for the back wheels... it's a strait axle....
bmark0610 the first Orw
Just because it's a straight axle doesn't mean it can't have a swing arm with the strut and spring..
jeffrey rhoades it dose not tho lol all the weight is on the rear tiers and axle lol
haha from my local polaris dealer, its like 5 years old. got castle x stuff now
Maby you should get a utility four wheeler to pull stuff
Brody Bailey it kinda is lol
Brody Bailey but at the same time it’s not so!!!!
ya, but it is even lower to the ground lol and i used it last year and it could barley stop the boat with the brake system on those little yard tractors...

why would the suspension be compressed?
That four wheeler is stong that best one
Dam kid is pretty good tho gotta admit 😭🤘
I can't believe that Polaris 400 pulled that damn boat I was surprised when I saw that kid move it was your dad pissed off that you moved that without his permission.
@Polaris500Indy the tongue weight of the boat isn't much at all. Overall weight of the trailer and boat is about 900-1000 pounds.
Is that a 2001 scrambler?
i will not pull anything with an aoutomatic cause it burns up your belt and clutches
It's chain driven
Dale Ursin there is still a clutch and a belt that drive the chain
Dale Ursin what a moron.
Dale Ursin 😂 😂 😂 what the hell 😂 no no no under the black cover on the left side is a clutch or cvt set up with a belt
@TheHondadirtbiker ya i know haha, and my 4x4 was broke during this so it didnt help and about the john deere i got... the boat doesnt lower down far enough to hook to the ball
that four wheeler is strong
what year is it cause i have one sitting out back, its an 86 haha
my polaris xploror 250cc 4x4 towed my 21 ft boat on a double axle trailer PERFECTLY fine without any trouble
He needs a ruler "it moved 1 centimeter" is lake five inches
Could the John deere do it my tractor pulled a truck
Cool
i have a boat twice that size and my electric weinermobile can move it no problem!
@TheHondadirtbiker are you superman? lol how do u pick up the tongue?
Its a 500 4 stroke though, I'm sure the 400 2 stroke would have had more trouble getting it moving.
bamper42069 uhhh i think you mean the four stroke would have more trouble
@redbaron19461676 it was on the wheeler when i got it but my friend got one right from the polaris dealer near us.
This is what teens too while their parents are at work
noo, i was moving it to winterize it, just tried the wheeler instead of the truck

lol pretty good question... didnt even realize that haha
believe it or not my trx 125cc 4 wheeler hauled a boat jus lik that haha.
my lt 185 wold pull that like nothing I have pulled my 18 foot with a 75 hp on the back with all the time
@jtm11995 actually i was moving to my back yard for winter jerk off. thanks for your concern.
Go Scrambler!
how can my 150 do this same thing
dakota newman no it would not
this is cool !!! wow
If he wouldent have gone balls to the ball and feathered it it would have moved
Freakin sweet!!!
next time just lift the boat hitch bye hand! way faster, boat is smaller than mine and i do it bye had solo every time with a shit gio quad...
Yeah well I got a Dodge Dakota so I can pull that fucking boat like 9,000 pounds of clams.
i like it
polaris is beast
it wasn't compressed at all
Lol 4x4 is useless in this situation because there's no weight on the front end.
I see what your saying, but it would still help grab a little bit more.
If he had someone on the front it would help
my bolens pulled a full size diesel truck .. what a pos
and there gos your ctv belt
thats exactly what i thought
Lol they are using a sport Polaris scrambler with no 4x4
can do that with my 225cc.... oh wow...
It woudve worked easier if you had gotten it to rock back and forth
Wtf that atv doesn't even have 4wd
MakeShiftWarriors yeah it does. Its a polaris scrambler
