- Hello everyone, in this video i got in alot of trouble for not joining a mixpacking group xD Not much to say, but im made it to adult! It was just for 10min but, it still count! Thanks yall for watching ❤️

Some people’s idea of “fun” is to just harass other players.

There are community servers with very few or no rules that are better than officials. You don’t have to choose between trash officials and trash realism
There are ups and downs to officials and community. It’s just all down to preference. Personally I like having the ability to simply server hop.
I play only on official and mostly as solo amarga and even dare to poke my nose into IC from time to time, if you learn to...shall we say "read the room" you can easily avoid most mix packs and even get a respectable amount of kills under your belt. Anos and any sort of trikes are always a potential mix pack threat even if they appear friendly at first glance.
@@Nuinwing Tbh this is exactly what I’m talking about. I have a group I play with sometimes. Usually just chillin around GV, and I’ll tell ya. 90% of out victims are people who don’t know how to survive properly. Some people just walk up to random people expecting to be all buddy buddy, others don’t really even pay attention to their surroundings. When I play solo I’m watchin my back and lookin out for body language of other Dino’s. Be aware of your surroundings and as you said read the room, and you’ll be fine. When I solo I have no issues with mix or mega packers. Mix pack victims are often people who aren’t doing these things. Which is why I kinda just say: “it’s your problem” if you are often a victim to mix and megapackers.
Obviously it’s not completely avoidable but you’re going to be outnumbered sometimes and that’s just how it goes sometimes, to be expected. But you can def greatly reduce your chances if you know what you’re doing.
Official servers are complete hell to deal with: the mixpackers seen left and right, as well as the unbearable grinding. Props to you for holding out with an Amarga man
I played a mobile game for more than a few years and my character is still not max level. That’s with moderate + gameplay. Taking a few days to reach adult for me isn’t unbearable but that’s just me. He definitely did a good job with Amarg that’s for sure.
As an Amarga main I think he could have done a lot better. The dino isn't totally useless against mixpackers!

I had a Raptor pack approch me (an adult chicken) saying "join us or die"
and then i killed them all but still the toxicity is real in this game
Same thing happened when I was on juvenile duck. 2 Raptors and a big carni seemed friendly at first but when I began to leave they attacked. Killed them all

I hate decline aggression, I often just wanna do my own thing so I decline invites and 9/10 times they get aggressive. Take the no!
I once seen someone in global say “U declined our group invite so we had to kill u, u know how it goes” or something along those lines😂🤦🏾♂️
If u just let it run out, in my experience, they attack a lot less.
@@Eli-akadthat's how clans work. They think this is Age of Empires, if you enter their territory they kill you. Normally the group invite is not to let you enter, but to kill you anyways (especially if you are a mid tier, that way you can't hide or escape)

Hey! Amarga main here, and I have some things I wanna say about this fight
-Amarga is decent against big packs since its stomp has a massive AOE and its tail attack covers a surprisingly large area behind it, but Amarga's slow speed, turning, and acceleration can leave it quite vulnerable. Be careful!
-Anos aren't a threat to Amarg if all they try to do is hunker down or bonebreak you (like the one in this video.) Aggressive Anos however can deal respectable damage with their AOE tail slam! Swat them away with your Tail Attack or Stomp them if they try to bodyblock. If they try to bodyblock AND bonebreak you, do a Headbutt into a Tail Attack so that the bone break either whiffs or the Ano is forced to pull the trigger early and break your bones for less time than usual. Listen to the Ano's sound cues and look at its tail to gauge whether you can get in an extra hit or if you need to get out!
-Concs aren't a threat to Amarg unless they're in huge numbers. Tail attack and Stomp both can hit multiple opponents, and Stomp in particular is very strong. A 100 damage AOE coming off 4650 CBW is no joke!! Concs hate bleed too. Perfect if you land some Headbutts or get them to trigger your reflect bleed spines.
-Hatz can't threaten an Amarg unless they're young or very low. Tail attack so they can't stack barrage, and Stomp whenever they get in front of you for HUGE damage. Keep in mind that your Tail Attack's knockback can force a Hatz onto the ground, which is extremely useful since their acceleration is really bad!
-When dealing with giant mixpacks, RUN AWAY. You have phenomenal stamina and nothing appreciates taking Tail Attack after Tail Attack. If you play your cards right, the group will either have to move on or risk getting stammed out/dying to the Amarg. The only move that you have which consumes stamina is Stomp, which you can cancel just by running, so take full advantage of your high stamina bar to escape unwinnable battles.

Find growing Amarg to be really hard since you can't get away nor fight most things
@@reshi606 For me, it wasn't so bad since I had experience with Amarg on community servers before I decided to grow one on officials. Took about 16 hours, which is not bad for such a slow dinosaur.
Also- use the terrain to your advantage.
Knocking an enemy off a cliff with a tail attack can both get them off you & deal good damage. The ano can’t take much of a fall.
Water can help, as it hinders your opponent’s movement- but again that would affect the ano more than the concs
I swear to god the stomp does no dmg or hits anything 😭 maybe it does it but I can't tell lol

That’s what me and my group be doing, hit the nail on the head. We make sure it’s none of us and then we go after them. Most of us want to play together and also fight so things like this just kinda end up happening. We aren’t a clan or anything. Just a group of people who enjoy playing together and helping each other grow. I can see what it can be annoying for other players who play solo. But tbh idk what to tell yall. I used to be solo and I understand the pain. But tbh I can’t call mega packs a good or bad thing. Some people just have a lot of friends. After experiencing both sides of the story, participating in mega packs and also being a solo player. I just don’t know what to say about it tbh.
@KingslayaJ As a new player, I feel that peeps like you are making it nearly impossible for some of us to learn how to play. All due respect, but consider that if new players all have this experience and quit early on because the game is dominated by players like you, eventually a game dies with no new players 🫠
@@KingslayaJthe problem mostly is that people care too much about pvp. I agree pvp in PoT is like the only fun thing, but I don’t need a bunch of friends to kill a creature or do I need to kill everyone I see that isn’t in my group. Of course I don’t know if thats what you do and Im not saying you do, but 99% of mixpack / megapack groups do such things. Also, theres a difference between a pack and a megapack. Megapacks exceed pack limits and are too much to handle for most things except another megapack. And again, because most players are so bloodthirsty and don’t just give up ever, you often panic or try to run away and still get killed because if you aren’t a small tier creature, the pack can just say “hey someone hop on your conca/cerato/meg/alio/kentro/etc etc etc etc and still chase you down and kill you because again, you’re outnumbered.
TLDR: the problem imo is that megapacks are too much and shouldn’t exist period and people shouldn’t have to get a kill every other minute to have fun, let alone a bunch of friends to kill a couple of things that have extremely little chances of survival whether theyre good or not. Imo at least.
I bet they ran their mouths on global too saying how you died because skill issue even though you were outnumbered a hundred to one, sad thing is they'll kill you even if you accept too, they just want a name to call out on global if you accept the inv

I'm surprised anyone plays official. It's nothing but zerg mix packing ganging up on anyone soloing.
Community servers is nothing but 100 books worth of rules so i just roll with the flow on officials for the lack of rules besides few minor common sense ones

Problem is, mix packing isn't realistic, so perhaps the game needs to be redesigned where carnivores get a massive hour long debuff if they don't attack nearby herbivores within 5 minutes of being in close proximity of one.

Idk why they even thought allowing cross species group invites was a good idea (besides maybe some symbiotic species mixing)... Doesn't stop people mixpacking but at least doesn't encourage it quite as much.
@@MadTawnyOwletbeing able to group with other species is actually really helpful especially when growing and it's a big part of these game only problem is that your only supposed to have 10 Dino sloth worth of dinos in a group which they don't listen to and also saying that being able to group with other species is what causes it is stupid cause you can't group with herbs as carnis but it doesn't stop them from mix packing

I just got done with my Eotrike killing mixpackers who wanted me as a trophy. Ended up killing their Barsbodlia that had a Dapletosaurus with it. Which respawned to an Eotrike. Killed that too.. then killed that Daspletosaurus which was trying so hard to bone break me thinking they could trap me.
I play officials because it is a PAIN to reUpdate stuff in community servers, especially from where I am from. Internet here is so bad, donwloading 100 mbs takes almost forever. I'm just glad I can play the game in a somewhat fluid way. A bit of lagging here and there but bearable enough on High Graphics.
And yes, I often deal with mix packers. Most are really bad in game since a below average player like me can defeat them in a 1v1. But I simply am not good enough to deal with 2 or more, especially not with a mix pack group. Frustrating AF...

Dunno what to tell ya buddy. Sorry to hear it but idk how to solve the mix pack situation. No matter what the devs do players will most likely find ways around it. As someone who plays with a group of people often and does solo play. I litterally have no idea what to think about it. But good survival skills will help you. Personally I didn’t have issues with large player groups when I solo.
literal solution to this is to play on a server with rules, screw the official servers, cause thats just asking to get killed by literally any kind and size of a pack/herd,
I never understood invite decline aggression. Like why? The person doesn’t wanna group so just let them be. Don’t get it.
I had this happened to me, but it backfired on the one who kept aggressively inviting me. I backed away from him knowing he was about to attack because I refused and as soon as he put the first bite in. It was on. I beat his ass and he proceeded to shit talk me on global. Like dude. I didn't wanna fight you, and I damn well didn't wanna join you. You sound like one of them creepy ass stalkers who tries and rapes the women and as soon as you get your ass beat cause she said no to you. Then you're like the victim now? lol.
They add you to see who you are then proceed to kill you. Officials is horrible if your a solo every cave you come out of there is groups of mixpackers just waiting for you it ruins the whole game
Yea on official people do this because they cannot fight anything solo 😂 the majority of the community is absolutely terribly at the game lol, they don’t go to comm servers because they are to toxic and get kicked or banned immediately, then cry online about how shit comm servers are and then go do this in officials.
The worst thing is that these skillless players are so vocal that devs tend to overnerf things in the end.
The amount of complaining I saw after dying because of massive skill issues is insane.
I'm always solo and can pvp solo if I have to and don't like community servers so that's not the case

Declining is nothing more than an excuse to come at you. I've accepted random invites in the past only to be hunted by everyone anyway.

Theres a lot of rocks in green valley that you can only go up from one side that helps woth groups like this since they can only attack you from one direction and even if they do get past you you can easily knock them off doing some bonus fall damage. Cant tell you how many groups of 5 or more ive beaten doing that. People call it cheap but so is a 5vs1 so idc.

Not true. People LOVE jumping Argents, it's basically a boss battle.
This guy tried to take a 1v10 instead of doing the smart thing and using his good stamina and knockback tail to get away and make distance. It's sad, but he was in control and decided to stand his ground instead of trying to save his own life.

Jeez that was a big group! I'd actually be impressed if the Ano wasn't there. I hardly play Amarga anymore but within just a few minutes of giving it a go, I remember why I stopped. Not enough damage, health, or speed.

Something similar actually happened to me earlier. I had refused to join a pack in triad because I was already with a group. They were trying to ws me so I didn’t want to join them. I died since there was 2 ceras, a sty, a spino, and a meg and I was by myself on my sucho.
And this is why I say Fuck playing with other ppl strictly Solo
This happen to me playing as the mammoth, but on the bright side we were near a clift 2 alimos, and a dasp, i just yeeted em of the moutain with the mighty push lol (I was near the bridge from ic an savannah)
This video alone is what made me chose to play Amarga on crimson semi instead of officials
i understand that the ano is armored but i think head bites not matter if your crouching or not should do extremely critical hits.

For the people saying grinding on official is hard. No it isn’t. Stop doing long quests and going to open spaces while you’re young. I grew an amarg, and stego to adult on official no deaths. I walked everywhere and didn’t leave the forest until I was an adult. Stay in one area and when you complete the quests LOG OUT for five minutes then come back and start over.
Never play official servers.
Honestly getting killed by mix packers is better than having to follow a billion different rules

I swear the combat in alot of these types of games is absolute dogshit. You would think a predator's bite would actually latch on to the thing it was attacking but nah. A massive sauropod somehow isn't able to straight up crush something right under it's feet and for some godforsaken reason you cannot even knock people over as anything, why is that is not a mechanic!? Why can't a ceratopsian knock someone onto their side and gore them? Why can't every predator just snatch up prey that is small enough for them to do so? Why do I need a mod to do this?
@@leoadimanea7826cause this is an indie game studio not a triple AAA, if you want those features your you're gonna have to be patient because right now alderon doesn't have the money or resources to implement those right now.
Not to mention this isn't the most realistic combat system, buff calls, debuffs and random sense abilities. So having a gore or an instant one shot stomp would be 100% out of place in POT.

These kind of games perplex me. Play in official servers and there is always that mega mixpack that kills you for looking in their direction...
Play unofficial, and half of the server sits in a circle and chats, or again, mega mixpacks...
Find a server with rules and its either "you ARE a dino so now BE the dino" or every 2 minutes "that's an rb (rulebreak) I'm reporting you! Admin! We're the manag...admin!"
I just want to chill and do some reasonable pvp. Not have to spend hours or days growing, just to die to 20 pissed of dudes trying to play dino-kitty chat.
I think hatz needs some sort of nerf, its peck is too powerful.

I probably wouldn't have a problem with mix packers if they left people alone but instead they tend to hunt solo players and people in regular groups endlessly for the simple crime of existing in the same area as them makes most area's impossible to survive because you will have large groups from herbivore and carni hunting you down

Official just fuckin sucks man, it discouraged me from playing Path for a while, been playing on community servers recently and its better with all the rules... Unfortunately this means I can't play with friends who play on official much anymore

Tbf i think even if you'd grouped up you still would be killed, ive had it before where it was just me and my friend and a dino friend requested (i thought they were alone) we accepted, i was a new player back then though, but what i realised was 1 person would add you, if you accepted they can see how many is in your group and what dinos your playing so they can counter whatever dino ur playing! Then they act friendly until their group is near then they all attack! I dont accept friend requests anymore, cause its happened more times than not! So now im with you n dont accept i always assume theyll attack now anyway 😅😂 so if they get to close im going for it 👊😂 you fought well though 👌 the AOE on the ano is a joke though, its the only dino in the game that doesnt have to hit you in order to kill you, just needs to be near you 🙄 whilst being the tank! Hate anos theyre always the aggiest players 🤦♀️😂

There is nothing wrong with mixpacking. The problem is ppl being toxic, not the mixpacking itself. This game has one of the worst communities. They think it's funny but all it does is hurt the games growth.
