@@abhinavsanjana Truss, for a simple example you can consider railway bridges made of iron. Here you will find some triangle shapes, welded or especially rivetted together, reason just to divide load from top into two angles, thus a bridges become more sustainable to hold the load on top. For another example you can consider long telephone towers or tower carrying high tension electricity line.. All these towers are specially designed on the basis of truss just to decide the heavy loads..

Diamond stars at 19.2 means 1/5 of (96 inch or 8 feet). Its common to bolt or screw at this points in english bldgs etc.. not in India
