This is the first time that a mislabeled playlist actaully makes me stay. I was looking for something to listen while working and I was thinking in dnb/ambient or liquid playlists, gaslighted myself to search Breakcore instead, after scrolling a bit (since I listened to almost every playlist out there) found this one and clicked for the breakcore, stayed for the ambient/liquid dnb thinking that maybe... Breakcore are the friends we made along the way
In fairness breakcore is a more fluid genre than some are making it out to be, the “rules” of breakcore is incredibly open - really only being constrained by the dominance of the drums, the BPM and the reliance on sampling.

I know lots of people comment on modern breakcore mixes (which I love, by the way) to say "this isn't breakcore", but this really, really, really isn't breakcore. Not in the old school breakcore sense or the new "sad anime breakcore" sense. Yeah there is some modern breakcore in the tracklist, but I'm listening to this while working and all I'm hearing is straight up, middle of the road ambient jungle/drum and bass and nothing else. I like it, but don't call it breakcore (and sorry to end up being one of those people who say "don't call it breakcore")
