One can clean the toilet and still have a good time if they find happiness that is not dependent on phenomena. Then all activities become goals in their own, because then we are not looking for an ultimate phenomenal goal anymore.

OK, so “if nothing happens by chance”, why did I meet a female a couple of years ago who told me that my disability (a paralysed arm and leg as a result of a slab of concrete being dropped on my head at point blank range during an altercation) was a “manifestation of an emotional paralysis” a “soul wound”? I later found out that she is part of a New Age community called Human Design System that believes dogs will stop obeying humans in 2027. Was it to show me how deluded and full of bulls**t some people are or is her theory correct and she was actually my guru?
"How to distinguish between legitimate practical goals and a deeper sense of lack?" is a declarative sentence and therefore a question mark is incorrect.
