The sticky button tip is important. Also the players card reader. I have had to insert my card several times before it takes also if you stop playing for more than a few minutes you will need to reinsert you card to get credit for play.
Tip after they took a lot of money from you, so you are not winning all that much. Plus, the cocktail or bartender is who helped you win that jackpot! I don't tip anyone unless they deserve it!
One thing I always see lacking on these videos from ACG is to mention Exposure to Bankroll. Especially with games like VP, and BJ. even the VP machines with the best payables are only over 100%+ payback when a RF is hit. one of the top mistakes Michael always says in VP is to not play max bet. There is a whole lot of bankroll math that these guys do not talk about. You stand to loose 2% in EV by not betting the max, I would argue that giving 5x as much exposer to your bankroll with every hand is much more detrimental to the average gambler than recouping the POTENTIAL 2% EV you get from a RF that most average gamblers might only ever see once in their gambling escapades. I'll burn my VP bankroll 1/5th as fast because i'm there just to play as much as possible. Same with BJ, I'm never going to play BJ at an empty table, because the speed of the game dictates how much exposure to my bankroll will occur in a given hour.
This is a good point, but it's assuming there aren't smaller minimum bet machines there. At the Harrah's in Biloxi, I played at the bar and had the choice between $1 machines and .25 cent machines. I played the .25 cent machines for 5 bets instead of the $1 machine at 1 bet.
Correct!!! I always pay for fun and playing max bet on VP just because the RF pays 4x more than all other wins!!! I can play 5x as long playing 25 cents. If I get my initial money back and it's in my pocket to take home with me I might play max and chase the RF but 99% of the time I would opt for a small 25 cents bet
Getting paid by attendants is the law. It's NOT a courtesy that deserves a tip. (If you hit a taxable jackpot, you must wait at the machine and wait for the slot attendants to bring the money to you. You can't go and claim it at cage. If the slot attendant comes back and find you are not there, the casino has rights of not paying you.) For those who live in New Jersey, NJ doesn't allow customers to pump gas at gas stations, all cars must be served by attendants. Again, this is the law. So being served by attendants at gas station is not a courtesy that deserves a tip. NJ residents never tip at gas stations (unless they have special request for the attendants), only those travelers from other states tip. This is exactly same situation as being paid by attendants. I have seen players tipping 1 or 2 Benjamins on a $1300 jackpot. They are just action junkies - trying to hit a jackpot, tip a lot and feel good about it. It's never right or wrong, but use your own judgement when you want to tip. I tip 0 on $40K royal flush jackpot I hit. However, I tip if I think the attendants are doing a favor for me. For example, if I need run bathroom and ask the slot attendants to hold the machine for me, I always tip, $5 minimum, sometimes $10. Also keep in mind that slot attendants share the tips, if you tip $100 to the attendant, the tip doesn't go to the attendant's pocket who just paid you (This is different from tipping the servers. Servers don't share tips.). The slot attendants are not allowed to keep the tips they receive directly from the players. They have to deposit them in a special container that is monitored by a security camera. The manager will distribute the tips among all the slot attendants according to a schedule. Whether you tip $100, $20, $5 or nothing to the slot attendant who paid you, it will not make a significant difference to their individual income. A $2000 jackpot may seem like a big win, but it is likely that you have spent more than that on the games. If you tip $20 or $40, which is a common amount, you may regret it later when you see how much food you can buy with that money at the supermarket.
Um... Oxymoron seems to come to mind here anyone on some of this video?? Tipping on a game of chance OR skill (and SKILL is debatable for VP) is ridiculous. Employees doing HAND-PAYS are on regular salary or hourly wage unlike waitress, bar tenders and TABLE dealers. If you feel NEED to tip anyone make it your housekeeping staff. I’ve been AMAZED at what just throwing towels in tub/corner and dropping a $5/$10 and a note saying “thank you”. Come back to a PERFECT room with fresh flowers, REAL wooden hairbrushes, UNREAL sewing kits and other stuff housekeeping has “access” for the “major suites/players”. Even had “Thank You” card from housekeeping along with bottles of wine, etc. Remember, housekeeping removes all the hotel freebies from other rooms left behind and can do whatever they want with them. booze, gift bags, etc. Heck, one major Vegas hotel (that’s my secret!) has incredible KIDS Gift-Bags and are better than any airport gift, LOL!
There's not a chance in hell when I win the small jackpot of lets say 10k and give them 2% which is $200 for example. They didn't give me any money the days that I lost and went home empty handed. Maybe I would give the drink servers a good tip they deserve it and a good tip like $200 can really help them but not I'm not tipping the casino.....
Id tip the employee hand paying me maybe 5 dollars like you would a driver. I dont see what they did to deserve to even .05 is 60 bucks. You been paying the casino your whole life to get this rare rare rare win. Dont give them or the employee more.
So if I win a million dollars I'm suppose to give a 5000 dollar tip. AHH NO. I'll tip anywhere between $20 and $100 to the people who hand me my money and the other person doing the paperwork, as for the casino I'm giving them nothing, although I will spend more money there, I will also tip the maid service and room service people better, although I already tip them well.
Tipping??? You have got to be kidding me! For what? These people are just doing their jobs, The cashier didn't do shit for you , only what they HAVE to do. Now if they give you the $10k in cash and let you walk out without signing any tax forms, then they would deserve a tip. NOBODY is doing ANYTHING out of the ordinary on a big payout so I do not see any justification in tipping ANY casino employee.
They don't tip me to lose. The casinos job and intention is to take my money. I'm not going to bail them out even a little bit just because they failed to do their job.
About 10 years ago, a buddy and I spent a weekend in Vegas. We were having a good time but sure weren't winning anything. We slid in to the Imperial Palace, played some blackjack, tired of it and went to one of the bars. We were the only two there on a Sunday afternoon and the bartender was mostly ignoring us, grouchy as fuck. We had to ask every time we needed a beer. On top of that, soon he was serving us warm bottles as he had just restocked the cooler. I started playing some video poker so my drinks were free for the moment. The second the last credit was gone, old eagle eye would charge for the drink even if it was less than 30 seconds after credits were gone. Finally my buddy says "let's get outta here", first he had to take a leak. While he was in the bathroom, I tossed in one last $20 on the video poker machine. A couple plays in, it gave me a beautiful $1199 Royal Flush which I left on the machine for my friend to see. Of course it was a handpay and when it was complete, I pulled out one crisp dollar, gave it to the barkeep and said "Thank you very much."
Tip is a gift not an obligation
The sticky button tip is important. Also the players card reader. I have had to insert my card several times before it takes also if you stop playing for more than a few minutes you will need to reinsert you card to get credit for play.
The only thing I will correct him on is when you tip on the jackpot you aren't tipping the Casino. You are tipping the employee.
Looser
Regular local patrons don't ever tip in Jack pots... cocktail servers yes
Tip after they took a lot of money from you, so you are not winning all that much.
Plus, the cocktail or bartender is who helped you win that jackpot!
I don't tip anyone unless they deserve it!
Anybody know any info on the software environment or programming these run on ?
thanks again Mike and ACG
I like to tip the cashier, they’re always forgotten.
Good tips. Thanks.
Appreciate it!

Beautifully stated
The sticky keys, grrr! And they ain't at the bar! The bar ones usually clean. If it causes trouble, you can always do touch screen.
@6:19
Did you notice he didn't hold to draw two for the RF?
Vaddix 99, in 8/5 Bonus Poker, the correct hold is a high pair over 3 to a royal flush. It was played correctly.

when I put my players card in it does not say High Steve. It says another name.

We play $1 video poker and we give a $20 tip on a $4,000 royal flush.
@@TheJackpotGents Well that's very generous of you.
Mine never says Hi Steve!
Id tip the employee hand paying me maybe 5 dollars like you would a driver. I dont see what they did to deserve to even .05 is 60 bucks. You been paying the casino your whole life to get this rare rare rare win. Dont give them or the employee more.
Tip who? For what? Only ones get tips from me are servers.
Tipping is voluntary. Period
1/2 per cent is the tip
Wynn Wynn . Sounds reasonable. But who exactly do I tip?
So if I win a million dollars I'm suppose to give a 5000 dollar tip. AHH NO. I'll tip
anywhere between $20 and $100 to the people who hand me my money

SINCE I HAVE TO PAY TAXES ON MY WINNING I DON'T TIP
That's hilarious...Top 10 Mistakes - part two.....
They don't tip me to lose. The casinos job and intention is to take my money. I'm not going to bail them out even a little bit just because they failed to do their job.
I thought the tip goes to the employee you handed it too, not the casino.
You are correct
Rewards points are the tip for losing.
How much should I tip my bartenders on a bartop jackpot?
About 10 years ago, a buddy and I spent a weekend in Vegas. We were having a good time but sure weren't winning anything.
