Godzilla v Biollante is definitely in my top 3 Showa era films. Biollante is as heavily slept on as Hedorah.

12:37; funning thing is; in this film, Godzilla was still only 80 meters tall where as her final from was 120 meters. As Godzilla didn't get that growth spurt to 100m until 1991 when he sank that sub.

18:36; there is a deleted scene from Godzilla v Biollante where Godzilla stumbles upon this area as he's in the water and flowers grow out of nowhere. The idea behind that according to a youtube comment; according to the producers the idea was Godzilla felt melancholy as he never encountered nor killed anything similar to him before. It was his first time seeing a kaiju and he supposedly killed her. And because of that he was feeling guilt. So the flowers was Biollante's way of helping him with that feeling.Which is why Godzilla roars and then turns around. The idea was the realization; where Biollante cna give life, Godzilla takes it away.

(5:54) YES! Thank you Phat Samurai Guy. Thats exactly how I feel about the scientist that created Biollante as well. Like the dude is trying to come off as all high and mighty like "This was all in the name of science" even though some of the stuff that happens in the movie is pretty much his fault. Also if my parents brought me back to life as a giant mutant plant abomination that shouldn't exist, I would be mad too lol. 🤨🔬👨‍🔬🧫🤦‍♂
(24:23) You know whats funny and sad at the same time though, her rose form scared the living hell out of me when I was a little kid (no joke, im dead serious about that). You would think I would've been more terrified of her second form with the big crocodile head but nope, for whatever reason her flower form pretty much gave me nightmares. Every time she would pop up on camera I would go behind the couch and hide until she's was no longer on the screen. 😏📼🌹🛋😅
(16:48) Im sorry but I still don't see how the heck Biollante would fit in a Minus One sequel. Granted I know you guys bring up Noriko having Godzilla's DNA from the ending of the first movie and how tragic it would be for the second story, but still though depending on how they present that idea in the follow up movie it might come off as a little cheesy to some people. Plus its like how would she turn into a half mutant plant monster anyway? Its like what she gonna do accidentally prick her finger on a rose bush then immediately turn into Biollante lol. 🏥🧬👩🚫🥀

For me its more of her being able to have a connection to Biollante rather than turning into her. You have to remember that Godzilla's radiation is surely to affect other creatures and such both on land and sea.
