Controversies aside, this remake was always going to feel different since the 1937 version is a lot more simplistic and focused on storytelling over character psychology like modern movies.
When it comes to Rachel’s comments, she was only doing her job and using the talking points Disney told her to use. To really sell that this was going to be a more progressive version of the story. Even gal said it too in fact she’s the one that started the conversation with it then Rachel jumped in. They did this with every Disney live action and each actress playing the princess all said the same thing that they’re weren’t going to be saved by the prince. You can find a bunch of interviews by Lilly James and Emma waston using the same talking points. It’s just Disneys marketing strategy. It’s Disneys way of really distancing themselves from the damsel in distress trope.
Rachel hasn’t promoted this film in the same way as Lily James, Emma Watson or even Halle Bailey. They were all respectful of the source material while acknowledging a modernisation of the character. They also didn’t put down women who want to fall in love. To me feminism is about choice - not about forcing women to be single and career driven. I don’t think Disney would have told her to make fun of Walt Disney’s masterpiece as an outdated cartoon. The Disney company has a lot of respect for the film and I do not believe they told her to say this.
It's nice that some people can see good things in it. Of course everyone I know is just pointing and laughing at things like Snow White strolling into the Queen's center of power just to mock her, but it's nice.
@@AussieDisneyGirl Yeah, even Doug Walker from Channel Awesome is on the hate train to join the legion of Blood and Honey from the Twisted Childhood Universe which gives children nightmares. Xxx
The trailer looks good itself, disappointed that the dwarfs are not real, I've seen Mirror Mirror (Snow white) and I really enjoyed that one as it used real dwarfs. I'm not sure about this one, but willing to give it a try if the reviews are good. I'm just looking forward to watching Mufasa Lion king this year as its a story we haven't seen yet.
I would prefer real people as the dwarfs as well. I don’t think the solution to bad representation is to delete it. The goal should have been to make the dwarfs better characters.
There is nothing wrong with a woman being independent and taking charge of her life. I think a woman can still be in love with a man and be a feminist. I don’t think that would destroy Walt’s legacy.
Mirror, mirror was actually portaying even more girlboss ideas! Snow White wears pants, is sword fighting, rescuing the prince and even saying directly that the times of damsels in distress are gone. I think the difference was only that Lily Collins was not seen so prejudiced as Rachel Zegler. Zegler was talking about exactly the same ideas, but joking too much, when people were already outraged. And they still try to feature a classic dress and love story. So, I think it has actually even a more classic touch than Mirror, Mirror - but they were framing it too modern, when people are afraid of loss of beloved tradition. Because Disney is representing "the original" for most people.
I agree in respect to the fact that the movie will not be very successful financially but I don’t think the trailer sucks. There were some really great moments (not involving the CG dwarfs of course)
I'm not gonna lie. The trailer's amazing If only Rachel would stop giving so many bad comments of things of what she said in Blacklash and all that stuff and all these people out there are not giving this film a chance. In fact, this is just like Disney's Follie all over again, and that happened the same way as it's gonna do but who knows? You never know what could happen for a film like Snow White.
Her comments were unfortunate. I honestly don’t think they reflect the content of the film though especially with Greta Gerwig involved. Her perspective on Meg in Little Women shows she doesn’t shame women who want to fall in love and get married.
I knew we would get your reaction! This was an amazing birthday present!
Happy Birthday 🎂
Those Dwarfs are terrifying. At least Alfred E. Neuman is portraying Dopey. He deserves it after MAD Magazine no longer made new issues.
I’m fine with the trailer of Snow White (2025 Remake). I’m only seeing it for Gal Gadot!
Check out the new trailer!!
I’m with you I think this is a good trailer and makes the movie worth checking out
I will be seeing it 🍎
@@AussieDisneyGirl so will I its coming out in time for my birthday

Hence why it shouldn't be remade
@acatwood11 IDK about that. I LOVED 2015's "Cinderella," and if the film had taken that approach, I'm sure I'd enjoy it more.
Hello! Can you react to the international trailer for Snow White?
I agree with you I really like the trailer
Yay! 🍎
A lot of people are are hating the dwarves I think they're amazing. It's going to be a great movie

Wow! Why is everybody jealous of the new movie. Xx
Do you think making a sequel to Zootopia is like making a sequel to Inside Out because there is a lot more you can do with it actually
I agree with you. There is a lot of material to work with in the Zootopia universe.
I like the cast and the movie looks great.
😀😀😀
There is meanwhile a new trailer and even better now. Are you going to react on this, too!
It's nice that some people can see good things in it. Of course everyone I know is just pointing and laughing at things like Snow White strolling into the Queen's center of power just to mock her, but it's nice.
I think people just like to hop on the hate train and don’t form their own opinions in order to fit in

Girl boss Snow White wanna be...This movie storyline is destroying the legacy of Walt's Snow White. Weird, weird

The only not fits in that movie is the hair and dwarf
The dwarf cgi god pray for us and gal gadot no
Yeah the dwarf cgi isn’t great
it's bad and they should feel bad about it.
It isn’t the best but it isn’t as tragic as everyone makes it out to be
This movie will fail. The trailer sucks
I agree in respect to the fact that the movie will not be very successful financially but I don’t think the trailer sucks. There were some really great moments (not involving the CG dwarfs of course)
No, no, no, terrible. I think haters don't know the chaos that they are creating because these movies becomes classic years later.
I really like the trailer too.
I’m glad that somebody agrees with me! 🍎
Ok, it look trash.
It wasn’t that bad. Was it perfect? No - but it wasn’t the worst thing ever
How did you know about faithful adaptation of snow white live action for successful year of 2025?😱😱😱😨😨😨
Faithful? I’m not sure what you mean.

@AussieDisneyGirl that is a good point to know. But At least we'll see it in March and see what we think.
I will have my fingers crossed the movie is good 🤞
Rachel has not given bad comments to anything it’s just a lot people are taking it out of context and unfortunately those people are racist
I’m not talking about any comments connected to race. I’m talking about her comments about Snow White’s love story and the Prince.
