Thanks for posting. It’s a fun cartoon
A timeless classic.. And the songs message is, You can be a bad dude, claim to be the hardest cat in town. But there's always gonna be a dude that's badder than you.
"There's always a bigger fish." - Qui-Gon Jinn
There's always somebody better than you at what you can do,that is why you should strive to be humble, not haughty, and seek to constantly improve yourself.
This is a classic...
What a loss in 1973...I remember being brokenhearted over his death.
What a talent....think of all we didn't get from Jim Croce....
Litterally, time in a bottle.
He didn't die.
@@lilybellsimpson3534plane crash, actually I thought it was 1976!?
@@MD-DLive, ok thanks. I thought Daffy was talking about Leroy Brown dying in the song. .

Right there with ya ... Except im a July baby. ❤❤❤

Time flies and I'm getting old.

@@paulguzman1634 Amen to that

I remember this cartoon on the Sonny and Cher Show. Back then, a cartoon like this was a treat you remembered for your entire life.
Guys like Leroy always think they’re the baddest. Until they meet someone who actually is.
Exactly
My grandpa was a big boxer with a flat nose. His words were simple and his advice was this. I love you Paul, there is always somebody bigger, there is always somebody meaner, and there is always somebody richer. Pick your friends wisely, and make as few enemies as possible. Head those words young men.
Sounds about white, such stereotypes are what you people love
What you said lol
Then they become a jigsaw puzzle?
Jim Croce was one of the coolest 😎 people EVER!
2024, almost 57, and i still Crank this.
Same.
22 years ago, I sang this song at a graduation dinner for the high school I taught at in Taiwan. The kids joined me on the Bad (bad) part!
Almost 50, and same.
Me too friend 👍
I remember watching that when I was only 11 years old. The Sonny and Cher show. It's hard to believe that was just about 50 years ago. Rip Sonny Bono.
RIP Cher
@@johnnygoodman2003 Cher is not Dead.

@@icecubescomicstrip What's that supposed to mean? Ha Ha.
@@snake9911 I was giggling that the other commenter thought Cher was dead. 🙂
I remember seeing this in the 70’s when I was a kid on the Sonny and Cher show. Thank you 🙏🏾 for the fond memories.
Same.
they did this for a few songs. i remember One Tin Soldier by Coven and Big Yellow Taxi -Joni Mitchell that was on their show,
I remember this classic watching Sonny & Cher back in the 70's. Loved their little cartoon snippets of popular songs at the time.
I guess you can say that this was one of the first early music videos.
Yea, l can remember the cartoon sketch about "l got a brand new pair of roller skates."
It’s weird how you can recall every second of something you haven’t seen in over - okay in just a really long time. 😂❤
Memory is an amazing thing!
I agree, that's when memories are great. Ya can feel'em...
I'm 53 and I never seen this. This is so amazing.
Sonny and Cher behind the bar was perfect!
70'era, was the good old days growing up.
1973 Great Song, Jim Croce. R.I.P.
Gone but not / never forgotten!!!👍
I think Jim is smiling at this. Knowing that his music is still loved by many.
I remember watching this as a kid. Haven't seen it since then. Thank you!
You're welcome!
Remember staying up late as a kid and watching this!
I just knew I didn't imagine this! But at 64, you really can't completely trust in memory. Thanks for posting this!
:)
No, it was real. I remember it. I just forgot where I saw it -- Sonny & Cher. Cool show.
He was bad, until he once met someone stronger than him
Much like you don't mess around with Jim.
@@ChrisTtheCarpenter And if you do, he'll make you a pussy taht no one can respect any more.
Maybe that stronger someone was Big Jim Walker.
Yep, that's pretty much the moral of the story.. You're only tough until you meet somebody tougher..
Cornpop stronger
LeRoy still ain't no punk tho😅
Sure he is he wears pink
No but fu*ked around and found out 😂
But you are
lol
Right and he also found out the hard way that there’s always going to be someone badder then yourself
I grew up in the early 1970s as a kid back then, Thanks for posting it. The singer Jim Croce was actually died in a plane crash in 1974.
Was he died? how?
This brings back memories. My dad's very favorite singer. August F. Ray. May he R.I.P.
Haha...my mom's all-time fave song...maybe our folks are singing along up there...lol
Jm Coce.
Gone too soon.
Just when everyone was getting to know him and his music,...

My boyfriend and I love Jim Croce. We listen to this often.
Jim would have loved this csrtoon of his song 😊😊.
I love this song it's a true classic that stands the test of time 🎉🎉
This animation first aired on the Sonny and Cher show back in the 1970s.
The difference was, Cher sung the song for the cartoon.
Here, they replaced her version with Jim's original.
Wow, that is cool. I wonder who did the animation? Could it be Ralph Bakshi?
@@icecubescomicstrip it was the same guy who did the opening to Grease. Forgot his name but not Ralph Bakshi.
@@huntercoleman460 I'll have to look that up. Thanks!

Keep up the good work. Rest In Peace Jim and Murray, we miss you guys.
Jim Croce never got the recognition he deserved when he was alive. Kind of sad that his music became so popular when he was gone.
Well, he was pretty popular at the time and made several TV appearances.
Good ole Days With Good ole music 😎✌️🎶
I also remember this as a 7-year-old and saw it when originally broadcast, this is the first time I have seen it since then.
Happy times.

There's always someone bigger and stronger out there.

I remember watching this on TV all those years ago. Great memories.
Wow, will someone bring the awesome 70's back for me.
I will be so ever grateful to you!!!
Lol.

Like anything else in life, you have to experience it to know not only about the good, but also the bad that went with the times. Two things that you may have heard of: Vietnam & the gas lines.
@@bubabubba6629 Yeah, the 70s were a trip. There was a lot going on!
I remember warching this on Sonny &Cher, then when he died they eulogized Jim Croce on the show and played this song again
I think everyone loves this song ❤️😍...
I worked as a cable TV installer back in the 70s and got to install the cable system in the Croce house in Point Loma. Mrs. Croce was very nice and showed me the office where his gold records were and his recording room. Jim had already passed away but it was a lasting memory for me as I was only 20 about 1974 and certainly kept that in my heart.
Oh wow! that is an amazing memory. Thanks for sharing!
Haven't seen this since 73 in front of our first color TV, now I'm looking for the Archie cartoon show from same era.
Love me some Jim Croce. I don't believe I've ever seen this before. Pretty cool.

Love the song and the video.
What a tragedy killed in a plane crash because he wanted to be home with his kid
great piece o history; thnx 4 upload 👍
I was a kid when this song came out, and when they played it on the radio Texas, they'd bleep the word "damn."
Some country singer used to say "darn" when he sang this song. Don't remember who that was, but I always felt a bit "short-changed" with that substitution.
Sort of like "The Devil Went Down To Georgia" by Charlie Daniels. The uncensored version he said "Son of a B!" While the censored version that is played on the radio is "Son of a gun!"
I remember this song well. I love this man yes rest in power indeed.
I Remember watching this one on the Sonny and Cher TV Show back in the 70s. Funny as hell. Bring Back Memories from a long time ago.
I remember seeing this on the Sonny and Cher Show in the 70's in my early teens. Don't remember but was probably before his plane crash in September 73.
