    I grew up in the early 1970s as a kid back then, Thanks for posting it. The singer Jim Croce was actually died in a plane crash in 1974.

    This animation first aired on the Sonny and Cher show back in the 1970s.
    The difference was, Cher sung the song for the cartoon.
    Here, they replaced her version with Jim's original.

    I worked as a cable TV installer back in the 70s and got to install the cable system in the Croce house in Point Loma. Mrs. Croce was very nice and showed me the office where his gold records were and his recording room. Jim had already passed away but it was a lasting memory for me as I was only 20 about 1974 and certainly kept that in my heart.
