Those reviews miss one crucial point - how good the brushes feel while painting - paintstorm is superb, so is clip studio paint - way better than ps for example - and brush options in paintstorm are ahead of most painting apps.
Brush performance is relative to computer specs and document settings. Of course an app with basic stamp brushes will feel faster than one that simulates fluid media.
@@aaronrutten But I don't mean brush performance but a brush feeling - sometimes it feels bad, wrong, or unnatural and I can't work with it, no matter how good are the brush features, lighting or natural media simulation.
Ola! :) 🔹 max brush size might be increased in File >> Options >> Perfomance up to the max 4000px 🔹 greyscale mode supports on canvas/navigaror/ref panel [all have shortkeys, last two buttons on the panel]
I am bit skeptical with your review with your Clip Studio Paint and PaintStorm Studio, in which you Clip Paint Studio a higher score. PaintStorm Studio Stabilizer has stronger stabilizer function than Clip Stuio Paint. PaintStorm Studio stabilizer moves different than Clip Studio Paint and people might like PaintStorm Studio stabilizer style better, and Paint Storm Studio stabilizer is way way more advance than Clip Studio Paint.
This is...an extremely harsh review. As someone who uses this and PS extensively professionally you are not giving this software enough credit. It definitely has it's flaws but the things it does well it does better than the competition. It's also OpenGL which changes how it feels to actually use drastically.
It's not a setting. I mean the app and its undocked palettes are able to move and function on a multi-monitor setup. That is true for most apps, but rarely there is one that only works on the primary display.
Not to alarm you but please do a virus scan on your system. The last time I downloaded paint storm my antivirus blocked it. Could be false positive but I wasn't willing to take the risk 😅
It will be fixed soon. It even before have this issue all the time but not so often. But with the last update they decide to change 'digital sign' process.... and that's why it's it's start virus alerts everywhere :) Should be okay in next releases
Greyscale : you can preview your artwork in greyscale with the reference panel too, or you can create a shortcut for that.

Exactly - that's why i prefer paintstorm studio for digital painting.

i don't know if it's 'overly critical', i think it's a pretty good brief overview of what the app can and can't do
You mention multi monitor support, but I have not yet found it. Could you elaborate on the location of that setting?

what is better krita or paintstorm?
Subjectively, I'd say Krita. But you may as well try both to see what you prefer.
@@aaronrutten thanks for the answer. I have both, but little experience
