As a West Virginian, I’m so glad you made this video!! Mothman, though he’s a gem, takes all the limelight as WV’s cryptid. Its time for our girls spotlight!
Agreed. WV most definitely has some wild cryptids. As well as some incredible history that unfortunately a lot of conservative members of the state are far too uneducated to appreciate.

Hazel's childhood experience about getting into cryptids and aliens mirrors mine so fucking hard that it made me remember a book in elementary school about an alien that came back from the moon landing and the big twist was Neil Armstrong had his name on a clipboard as Neil A. and the protagonist realized it was alien backwards. This is how I had to figure out that Valkyrie Crusade got shut down, and it feels kind of sad. I'm pretty sure I even had the Flatwoods anime girl card too. 😥
I love the flatwoods monster! While not game or anime related, but still extremely online, my first thought of "anime girl flatwoods monster" is always 3M/Kusai of the nijiura maids! while characters like Yakui and even Ozoi leaked into my online anime experience in the 2000's it wasn't until the recent interest in these net characters along with Ukagaka i learnt about 3m a couple of years ago, truly she's everywhere!

The playercharachter of soma kinda looks like the flatwood monster. The glowing red eyes and the hood kinda match but i think its purely aesthetic and possibly coincidental

Hearing the Deadly Premonition song playing over footage of the original Wild Arms game hits me so hard with nostalgia that idk what to do with myself. Hazel, you have wonderful taste
I'm so happy that someone else adores the flatwoods monster as much as I do. I found out about them from the Nijura Maid version of her and have been obsessed ever since. Definitely subbing now.
I love your videos, but I have to say this one is the most important to me. Whenever I'm having nightmares and keep waking up in the night, I put this video on repeat and let it lull me to sleep. Works like a charm. I've probably watched it 10 times now.
Hazel makes videos I never even knew I wanted or needed to watch
The post-censoring lends to the insanity that is this video. I love it.
shuppet is SO CLOSE to fitting and yet so far
Learning Hazel is from the same town as you is just the best feeling. I love your videos.
Gonna put the Flatwoods monster in my game now, thank u for bringing the appreciation this Funny Little Creachur deserves!!!
I had never heard of the flatwoods monster before today, and yet I loved this video
Yesss! I saw the .hack//ENEMY card and was happy. Seeing it in .hack//Infection Mutation Outbreak Quarantine was my first introduction to the flatwoods monster. 2002 PS2 game if it helps.
omg seeing valkyrie crusade in this vid brought me BACK. i played the heck out of that when it first got localized, fond memories of sitting on my couch during fall running events
Yooooo no way!!! Flatwoods!!! I know the developer of that game, that's super cool! It's really surreal seeing a project I recognize on that level appear in a video. I can guarantee it's a delight!
Flatwoods Monster is my favorite too, and this was so fun to see so many games I recognize, but never knew there was a flatwoods monster in them. Thanks for this detailed coverage! This was wonderful to watch.
theres nothing I love more on a youtube video than someone putting a lot of effort and passion on something most people dont even know about
Those atmospheric shots of Majora's Mask are breathtaking.
Flatwoody creeps me out, but i find the Hopkinsville goblins playfully adorable. Still, i had no idea it was inserted into so many games. Wunderbar!
I can't believe this exists. I'm very glad that it does. I am now that guy who tells "that's the flat woods monsters!" On what will surely be the 1 time I see it in my life
I really love this video. A weird synchronicity is that a year ago, I made a flat woods monster figure and I used a Heartless dome for her head. I just found your channel about a month ago, and you've got a some GOOD ideas. Keep it up champ.
Do you see that, Zach? clear as a crisp spring morning. a masterpiece in my youtube reccomendations!
9:19 this page hit me with severe nostalgia, i'm pretty sure I ordered my ocarina with this same ad
i remember beating that Area 51 arcade game with my dad at a Cici's Pizza, and being immensely disappointed that almost every enemy was a recolor lmao (also the Your Vibe J99 Remix for the outro music made my brain wiggle. love your videos, keep it up)
Never thought I’d hear about my hometown of Petaluma in a video about the Flatwoods Monster lol
lets gooooooo
I’ve always been more of a Hopkinsville Goblin fan, but I respect your dedication to Ms. Flatwoods 🫡
Drove through Flatwoods the other day and it's pretty neat seeing all the little signs and markers everywhere with the Flatwoods Monster on them
The playercharachter of soma kinda looks like the flatwood monster. The glowing red eyes and the hood kinda match but i think its purely aesthetic and possibly coincidental
seeing that ocarina ad page brought me back 😩
this video has led me to realize I have an abstract painting that qualifies as the flatwoods monster on my wall. Life will never be the same
HAZEL CASSETTE BEASTS HAS A FLATWOODS MONSTER
Just briefly played Valkyrie crusade many many years ago on a potato kindle and of course it had to be YOU to give me extreme whiplash of it’s existence on a video of the flatswood monster, goodness
