Now that it's been a little since the first season came out, I got to say, I think this is definitely THE characters, I could not imagine anyone else in these roles. I think what is exciting about this is that with each season, they will learn what their tone is, the actors are growing into their craft and becoming more comfortable, the creators can learn from their mistakes and the seasons will get only better. They did a fantastic job for the first season. I think the only thing I personally would want, is the tone of the show to feel a little more like Percy Jackson. I don't know what it is but something about the show at times felt off. It was definitely rushed. The actors at their ages are soooo talented. I just think it is the material and the length of the show. They really need more episodes, longer episodes, smh. I sometime wish they did this show through something like HBO or idk. I am the last person to be a fan of the Percy Jackson movies (really, the first one is the only one I remember) I wish the tv shows felt like a movie. I want the writing to be better. I want it to deliver the way the Harry Potter movies did. That is what I mean. The cast feels so special, just like HP did. But the show itself needs more !!! I just want that fully immersed feeling of being in another world, and really feeling it.
Them spoiling the creatures was like the book, but them finding their weaknesses or being able to flee was an important part of the series that they need to revive. Honestly, i haven't rewatched the series after watching it once completely, but they are literally the trio outside of the cameras.

you're thinking exactly what I'm thinking, i love the cast they're perfect for the characters but the show feels so rushed and the writing could be better but the kids did their best to deliver, i also think sometimes would this show be any different if it was handled by other streaming platform like hbo with got. on the other hand the trio said in an interview that everything is bigger for next season like they have real set to film so disney clearly invest more from s1, hopefully they do the same upgrade for the script and scenes maybe with more dramatic camerawork and better transitions idk these are just my ideas
Not gonna lie when they were asked about their favorite books in the Riordanverse, I was waiting for Jay and Adam's answers knowing that they've read these books with their children lol. I got a bit too excited hearing Jay say Bianca's name. And I badly want to know Jon's as well, his fav would be too intriguing to me I have to gauge which themes and aspects of the books does he lean in. And also to our trio, I hope once they finish revisiting Heroes of Olympus, they would also get into The Kane Chronicles (Aryan mentioned reading The Red Pyramid), Magnus Chase(I know Walker has read them), and Trials of Apollo and all the other books in between such as the crossovers. There's so much awesome characters in this universe that I really like aside from our Greek and Roman demigods!
