Colourpop needs to start taking into account their customers who already own other pallets if they want to make money off of current customers. They are not going to sell us pallets when we already have those shades several times over in other pallets.
I was disappointed with this reveal of this palette. I agree with you, Amanda, why more (and such similar) neutrals??? With 30 shades to play with, why not have a broader, more colorful color story, kind of like Born to Run or Tiny Marvels? I'd love to see grungy, subdued, but still colorful selections. With a 30 pan palette that takes better advantage of the color spectrum, there would be a million looks you could create. Crossing my fingers they consider a big palette with grungy purples, subtle blues, olive greens, golds, corals, etc. I'd be all over that.
@@Anlin00 Yes, but they've done this to DEATH! It's the same stuff over and over, and in this palette there are at least 3 of the same colors (or close) that will look identical on the eyes. Neutrals are great, but variety is needed. This palette has none of that
I collected all the monochrome palettes, but stopped buying any CP palettes in 2020 because I just wasn't seeing anything fresh. I'm not a beauty influencer so I don't need 100+ eyeshadow palettes. This has not tempted me to change my mind.
I'm a collector. At some point, I thought maybe I should throw in the towel for the same reasons. Un/fortunately, I haven't yet. So, looks like I'll be adding MORE warm neutrals to my collection. 🥴 I'm a bit jealous of your ability to stop.
It’s almost like this was originally supposed to be an influencer collab that was supposed to launch a long time ago, but then that fell through so they released it with a new name.
I would have removed some of the browns and added more blues and teals. Maybe even another coral. Make it more beachy. I think it’s a beautiful palette but too repetitive. As a 12 pan it’d be perfect.
I think the most positive thing I can say about this palette is that it is not totally washed out and pale. Yes, I think it's very boring from the point that ColourPop has released so many similar things.
I could not agree more Amanda, I was so hoping this palette would be an updated type version of something like the so jaded palette 😩 I “ like “ this but it’s far to repetitive within itself and the bare necessities palette 😕
THANK YOU! I totally agree with you on "Why another warm neutrals palette?!?". They missed the opportunity to do a really beachy themed summer palette with greens, blues and purples with a some cool pink shades thrown in. Love me some Colourpop, but I don't know why they bothered with this one.
That’s exactly what I thought this palette would be! I was so disappointed in this color story-feels like such a missed opportunity. Oh well-there’s always next week’s release 😜
I am hooked onto this channel. I love the reviews and the simple yet convenient presentation. Every CP purchase of mine is based off a review from this channel and I have so many CP palettes. Love your face Amanda ! Byeeeeee
Amanda, if you ever feel like your attention to nail/makeup coordination is going unappreciated, please just know that Mariah from Alabama always notices, and ALWAYS loves it!! 😍
I work in an optometrist office, so eye safety is important to me too, so I appreciate you bringing it up. Also, pressed glitters get washed down the drain and contribute to the microplastics in water. I think people just get upset because they know you are right, but don't want you to be right. I agree that a jewel toned palette would have been a better choice... especially with no pressed glitter.
I think it's so pretty, but I can't get over how similar some of the shades are, so I won't be adding it to my collection. Maybe I'll just get the UD wild west palette after all
Well, between Double Entendre and Dream Street I definitely have this color story covered. Which is good because I end up not reaching for large palettes much anyway. Thank you as always for the comparisons!!
The Bare Necessities comparison was all I needed to see. Thanks so much for all of the time you invest into palette comparisons - it really helps when you have multiple palettes! I’m so glad you finally have a code! I used it the other day when I ordered the So Very Lovely collection. 🙂
🧡🧡💛💛You should say what you know! My mom is a RN and she has seen 2 nasty instances of glitter in the eye. People need to know!! If they can’t handle it, well that’s their problem! 💛💛🧡🧡
You’re so cute! I love you. I agree on all the similar colors, so I’m a bit bummed about that and the glitter shade. With that said, I’m getting it. 😂 I love the packaging, and I have a couple colourpop palettes that I only use 2-4 shades in, so I’m going to take a few of those out and make my own custom palette. Unnecessary, of course, but fun so whatever. And I’ll use your code so yay!!!
I own this palette and I am happy about it. I don't own a lot CP palettes and also not the older ones. So for new customers it is an interesting release 🌹
I just recently got the palette. I really like it and have created some beautiful looks with it. It didn’t get a lot of attention on UA-cam, but it is good. I also got It’s a Mood around the same time. I reach for this palette more than the Mood one.
Wow I never realized how similar it is to other palettes I’ve been wanting! The only 30 pan palette I have from CP is stone cold fox and I’m glad it’s the least similar to this palette. Out of the palettes you swatched side by side I have limoncello which is also not very similar. I’m so glad I bought it!! Thank you for this review♥️
I would love to see more color from colourpop, they are losing me at this point. I have only purchased recently the cheek palettes. I would love to see more summer colors like corals, sky blue, jewel tone, just fun and flirty colors.
Great video as always but this palette was so unnecessary. So many neutrals... the names on the pans seems so exciting and fun summery but now looking at it I’m bored. I would have made this a nine pan palette.
I lost interest in Colourpop awhile ago, BUT I still come to watch your Colourpop videos because I know how much work you put into them & love your face!!
Thanks Amanda! I appreciate your honest opinion. I feel the same way! I have warm tones and I’m so sick of gold! 😫. I was hoping for beachy greens and blues, some neutrals, some pinks, not pastel but more muted colors. Like the new Jouer French Riviera palette but bigger! I hope they collab with you to make us a beautiful glitter free pallete! Not a bundle but your own hand picked palette.
I completely agree with you about glitter, and it's nice to hear from someone who understands it. I've had a corneal defect and have had a scratched cornea. Glitter is fun, but it's simply not worth that level of pain!
I have problems..lol, I own a lot of their palettes and have many reasons NOT to buy this BUT I will most likely buy this anyways because I’m crazy. 😆 🤷♀️
Just came across your videos since I want to expand my collection. I’m glad that you advocate for eye health. The viewers who give you a hard time about pressed glitter must not have had an eye injury. It really sucks. I have scarring on my eye from a corneal ulcer that would not heal properly. It had affected my vision and actually made me ineligible to get laser surgery for my vision.
I soo agree about the glitters! I have had four surgeries on my eyes, one I was fully awake for, so I have no intention of causing any more unintentional trauma to them.
I'm seeing their dark bloom eyeshadows in this palette. Dream street was one of my favorite palettes besides good sport. Wish they would bring those back
YES! When I saw the swatch comparisons, all I could think was, I would totally buy Dream Street which seems like the perfectly condensed version of this palette.
Mega mermaid pallette?! Yes please! I'm kinda disappointed in this one too. It has different shades of shimmers than bare necessities but im sure I can dupe them with all of the other CP pallettes I have lol
I'm right with you! I do not understand this Palette one bit. Colourpop totally missed a wonderful opportunity to get another bright colored big palette out there.
Oooh, someone's a little saucy...and I like it!!! 🤪 I died at "glitter police"!! 🤣 I feel the same as you about it...just...why? When I saw the black and white pic of the 30-pan, I immediately thought "OMG PLEASE be a mermaid and sunset pallette". 🥴 Oh! Lastly, I think you need to collab because a jewel toned "rainbow" would be ahhhh-mazing!! I'd cry for something with that much color from COLOURpop!!! Love your face!!
BLESS YOU for all you do with those comparisons, Amanda. haha. I ALSO am sad that Rum Season, aka one of the only interesting shades in the palette, is a glitter. WHY. And for what it's worth, that Harry Style palette was still one of my faves from you! haha
I do not own Colourpop eyeshadow palettes. So this palette caught my eyes. I normally gravitate towards colourpop for their blushes...those are just gorgeous for the lower price point. Am planning to get this palette the next time I shop the colourpop website
Thank you for the great review and swatches, that's a lot of work and much appreciated! I agree with you, if you don't have all the other palettes this one would be a good one to have.
Great review & swatches! I can't wear pressed glitters, my lids are too sensitive so I could live without pressed glitters. I'm glad you showed the new palette. I have many similar eyeshadows so I'll pass on this one.
I was looking for a green-blue summer sister to the "That's all good" palette. But I don't have "Bare necessities", only a cool-toned "Stone Cold Fox" palette. So now I'm thinking which warm palette will be better to take, this or BN?
I fully agree with you here. I don't get it. It seems tone deaf. Like, who asked for THIS?? Who asked for a warm neutrals mega palette with one bluish shade in it?? That's what I feel like most people have been criticizing about other brands for a while, so I'm baffled that CP of all brands 'came up' with one of those neutrals with a pop of blue palettes. They don't release these mega palettes that often so when they do, I feel like people get excited and expect something special and I think so far they've done a good job with them. But this one... It's a definite No from me.
Agreed with you on not understanding this release. Just, why? I would have loved primarily blues and yellows with some corals, maybe California-sunset themed. Even the B&W teaser pic was more interesting than this. 🥲 If I wasn't vibing with the entire color story, I was hoping for more variety so I could at least pop the shadows out and curate my own palettes.
I own the Stone Cold and the Bare Necessities. One is cool, One is warm, and I justified it as they are different. This one just seems to mimick the bare necessities way too much. I agree I would prefer a jewel tone neutral option.
Thank you for the Wild West comparison! I ordered it the other day and when I saw the Golden palette, I started to think I should return it since Golden is half the price.
Super pretty! I think I'm good. I don't want a big makeup collection, I also think I'd find a palette this big overwhelming. Always fun to watch your work, though.
I think the section of the palette that’s like, salty/hiddem gem, cruise, illusion, suns out, private beach could have been a perfect six pan all on its own. Rum season would have been beautiful if it wasn’t a glitter.
I was wondering what this palette would like from seeing the black & white pics on social media. I am underwhelmed with this color story, again why the darn glitter color it would be so much better as a shimmer. This seems like a combo of the other two big palettes they released before, why not do a Born to Run or Retrograde color theme, would be so much more appealing.
I don't own a lot of neutral palettes. The only one I have that you compared it to is the UD Wild West palette. When this was first released I said to my bff "it looks like an extension of Wild West". Which I actually like because it's literally the only neutral palette I own and I could use more. So I'm in the minority that this is actually tempting me!
There is one pan that I would be interested in this palette. Day dreamer REALLY catches my eye. Probably because I have plenty of the rest. Honestly, because I love that one so much I'm sure I have at least 1-5 of the same thing somewhere in my collection.
I was expecting on something like the extended version of At forest sight with pop of neutrals. I love neutrals, but I don't need so many same/similar shades in different palettes🥲. Thanks for your hard work, but I'm not going to buy it.😥
Came across your review of this palette. I currently own this one and just looking for looks to make from it. I work at a Opthamology practice and understand where your coming from. I rarely use liner in my water line either in fear of my meibomian glands getting clogged. I recommend eye scrubs a night to get all your eye make up off before bed.
Thanks for sacrificing your arm once again! I agree with you. I’m not a fan of huge palettes. The ones I have live in a separate drawer because they’re so large and I just don’t even think about them, so what’s the point? I’ll definitely be passing on this one. Thanks again!
you saved me!!!!! I can't thank you enough as I have bare necessity and thought this was gorgeous. But between my 4 palettes of Bare Necessity, kathleen's 30 pan palette and limoncello I don't need it. If it wasn't for bare necessity I would have gotten this as I personally prefer the blue and golds over the purples.
Do you have any videos where you talk more about your eye expertise? I would be so interested in that! I mean, live your life and do what you want but I would so enjoy hearing more depth about cornias (sp?) And glitter...
I literally bought this palette because i missed out on Dream St. I plan on taking out the dupe-ish shadows from this palette to create my own Dream St. inspired 12- or 15-pan.
Omg. I H A T E it. It’s exactly what you said. WHY? It’s an echo of an echo of what once was an idea. No. I have the jaded palette and they should have gone with a brighter/milkier gem palette to fill that void. Totally agree.
When I saw the shade names posted yesterday, I really thought this was going to be the bright, summery, colorful companion to So Jaded’s colorful fall jewel tones! I think this palette is lovely, but I agree-it doesn’t make sense for anyone who has any warm neutrals at all, and it’s too many of the same color within one palette! I love a palette that has lots of good neutrals, but for a 30-pan it needed a lot more pops! I love the larger CP palettes and I wanted to want this, but buying it would just mean I’d use my other similar palettes less, and I don’t want to do that.
I totally agree - when I saw this, I was like why? But also thought it would have been far more intriguing as a 12 pan. I get overwhelmed with so many choices, so I know that a 30 pan palette is never something I'm going to get along with. ^_^
Idk if someone has said this already but for them to name a palette “you’re golden” and then having only 2 shades that resemble gold really just cracks me up 😂 this one definitely misses the mark for me
I was hoping this would be a more cool, jewel toned palette. It does seem pretty though. This video actually made me want to buy the Bare Necessities palette lol.
I just use a ǹail file and take the pressed glitter right out. I've taken several shades out of other palettes and used them to fill in the blank space. Turned 4 palettes into three that way.
Excited to see this review! Love your channel! God bless! Its a pass for me - I have Bare Necessities, Going Coconuts, Lemonchelo and.....list goes on.
Colourpop needs to start taking into account their customers who already own other pallets if they want to make money off of current customers. They are not going to sell us pallets when we already have those shades several times over in other pallets.
💯
I’m sure colourpop does their market research and by now with so many launches they have data on what sells. They tend to release more of what sells.
I was disappointed with this reveal of this palette. I agree with you, Amanda, why more (and such similar) neutrals??? It almost feels like ColourPop is afraid of grunge, but so many young people (for whom the brand is targeted) love grunge colors
There is alrady a bold color palette from colourpop. I like neutrals. Hate greens blues . This is perfect
@@Anlin00 Yes, but they've done this to DEATH! It's the same stuff over and over, and in this palette there are at least 3 of the same colors (or close) that will look identical on the eyes. Neutrals are great, but variety is needed. This palette has none of that

When I started this video my fiancé literally said “when do these palettes stop? Are there new palettes every single week?” 🤣🤣🤣
😂 how did u answer that?
Danggg lol that’s some real stuff tho.

I love your sassiness about pressed glitter 🤣
I was expecting a mega version of the Mar palette or something similar. I'm disappointed too, this is so unnecessary 😩
Can't wait to hear your review on the new Colourpop Fine Feathered 💙 and High Tide 💖 9 pan eyeshadow palettes 🤔😁😊
Those actually have color!
Wait are those new palettes that have yet to be announced?

Only 1 glitter? Yay! Hopefully Colourpop is getting the hint...
Your monochrome nails are Awesome!
Thanks for another great video! I already have So Jaded & Bare Necessities so will skip this one.
I agree with you. I hate pressed glitters. I usually throw them away as soon as I open the palette in case they break and mix with the other shadows.

I would’ve loved to have seen them do a purple, green, blue palette but I’ve seen a lot of excitement online for this palette, and I’m like really?
I would love to see more color from colourpop, they are losing me at this point. I have only purchased recently the cheek palettes. I would love to see more summer colors like corals, sky blue, jewel tone, just fun and flirty colors.

There is one pan that I would be interested in this palette. Day dreamer REALLY catches my eye. Probably because I have plenty of the rest. Honestly, because I love that one so much I'm sure I have at least 1-5 of the same thing somewhere in my collection.
I literally just bought the UD Wild West. Maybe I’ll return it. I would rather have the Colourpop one BUT I truly don’t need it with so many dupes.
Finally, a code!! Will be using it on Thursday!
"the glitter police" comment made me laugh :D you are a trip Amanda, I enjoy your content!
I'm obsessed with your nails!!! which shade is this??? where can I buy it???? 😍
I really agree to you. They should do something new - pastel maybe or so...
Idk if someone has said this already but for them to name a palette “you’re golden” and then having only 2 shades that resemble gold really just cracks me up 😂 this one definitely misses the mark for me
I was expecting like half blue half warm neutrals but thats okay because then i dont have to have it 😅
Liked the look with did with the palette. It's cute.
I’m curious...how do you use a nail file to remove the pressed glitter? Can’t use just use a magnet to remove the pan?
@@happycamper4thewin I've never thought of that. I just slip the nail file under the side of the palette and it lifts right out.
Do you think that they just change the name to there eyeshadow slap them in a palette ? there's only so many color in the rainbow
I like the golden color in the center of your lid :-)
Excited to see this review! Love your channel! God bless! Its a pass for me - I have Bare Necessities, Going Coconuts, Lemonchelo and.....list goes on.
