    I have a craft no heat! Same bulbs you can use liquid starch or anything liquid sticky and glitter. This is what you do..... pour just a little of the liquid starch inside the bulb, roll it around til the whole ball is coated inside, if any excess turn it upside down drain it on a paper towel, next pour some glitter into the ball and shake it around til it is covered. Done!

    I made these on Monday with my daughter's Girl Scout troop. We used a scrapbooking heating tool and washcloths to hold the ornaments and they turned out great! The tool focuses the heat and is hotter than a dryer.

    What they did in the demonstration was a hearing gun. It directs the heat unlike a hair dryer which sprays the heat. Also they had a string on the top and used heat resistant tools to hold the ornament

    Thanks for testing this out for all of us. Now I know not to let my daughter help, not to try and kiss the hot ornament and to use oven mitts! Haha! You guys are the best! 😀

    Use the left over bulbs and make glitter ornaments.

    There are many ways to make them but we’ve done it and had a blast. Warning glitter can get every where if you are not careful!!

    You should make the soap clouds!!! You take a bar of ivory soap and just microwave it for 2 min or less. It puffs up into an awesome looking soap cloud!

      LOL..just made two painted ones for my daughters friends...used plastic bulbs...only downside is drying time...i put them upsides down in a bottled water with the top of the bottle cut off and a few bigger holes along the side to expidite the drying time. Only took 3 days....LOL

    I've decided done this before, and I took off the cap thingy, put the crayons in, and didn't put the cap on, and set it in the muffin tins. From there put them in the oven for about 5 minutes on a low heat. Take em out, let them cool and Bam! Ordaments

  • @Cbbartelt
    @Cbbartelt 5 років тому +4

    I would suggest just putting them in the oven in a silicone muffin pan or in cupcake liners in the regular muffin tin and put it in the oven at the lowest setting your oven will go for just a couple minutes. Then you can just swirl them when they come out.

    We couldn’t handle gingerbread house decorating so I’m 99% sure this would be a disaster for us. 😂 And I’m really glad you guys tried this because before I watched this, I had the bulbs and it kind of seemed like a good idea. I think we’ll stick to glitter and paint. 😂

    I did these a cpl yrs ago.
    -use SMALL pieces of crayon
    -hold it with pliers.
    It still didn't turn out like you see on the internet, but I had fun!!

  • @garlandajoyce1980

    I think you did a great job after working out the kinks. I think maybe winter gloves (thick ones) would be better for holding them than oven mitts, then you have fingers to get a better grip. I liked the pencil idea too though, that seemed to help. The ones that did work were really nice!

    I was looking up ways to use broken crayons and came on this idea but remembered this video and the epic fail. I had to come find the video again. Definitely not a craft for kids. I wonder if you could leave them in the cupcake tin and blow the air down into the opening without picking them up until it's melted. Lol against my better judgment I might try it.
