- This is three different ways to make money in Starfield that you can do at the very start of the game without joining factions or advancing the story. I wanted to include three different methods just in case some of these get patched. Currently everyone relied on the underground chests, but these are legit methods and one glitch method that'll make you super rich and have high end gear very easily in record time.

This video will teach you how to properly sell items from outpost crafting, as well as how to duplicate weapon crates and how to sell those items, and finally a way to refresh a major contraband chest that'll make you tons of credits every single time you loot it, which is also repeatable forever. There is no better legit or glitched method to make money in Starfield than these.

Don't forget Neon Security, that also resets after 48 hours or 5 hours of Venus time, just walk in and take it.
You keep missing out Neon Security which is literally next to the entrance to Ebbside where you steal the keys and loot the contraband.
My loop when I can be bothered is Neon Security, Ebbside, sell to SA, (buy tons of ammo first so he can afford it) anything left either store it in your housing in Neon or go to Wolf. Repeat as needed.
On neon, if you go into the security office just passed the hallway you turned into, out back there is also contraband. You can sell that contraband at trade authority directly across from the spaceport elevator. Fast travel to Venus and back and repeat. Yields anywhere from 15k-23k every 7 minutes. Enjoy !
In VOL II in addition to the Syndicate crate, grab the Contraband at the Security Office close buy. Also, you can sell the Contraband at the Trade Authority right there by the elevator. In addition... When you are in the Syndicate, run to the end of the research area and on the second floor (Where the guy is lifting weights) there is a locked room, that opens with your stolen key card. It and a crate that also resets each time and usually has a rare or better weapon and 3500-5000 credits. When you enter back into the research area, jump down and the far end of the room is another blast door that is locked, but also opens by using the computer to the left of the door. It then puts you in the first lobby of the Syndicate and the false freezer entrance. There are weapons and ammo the grab, if you like in the research area on the wall, as well as a pretty cool (one time only) sword in a case on the long workbench. Will add a useful amount of credits in the same area with little extra time. Enjoy!

Actually, on Neon to the left of where you load in (about 110 degree turn) is a Ship Tech and Trade Authority terminal.
I dont think you lose any weapons , they go into your ships inventory when available before it goes into yours. I think that may have been what happened.
Venders definitely need more credits on hand.

The TA Agent on Mars at the facility has a credit of 26K. You find him just going straight into the facility to the right and before you reach the Weapons dealer. But that seems to make that NPC the highest credit vendor I know of.
Which facility?
The Mars main facility at Cydonia I believe it’s called.
I've learned that being "Over-burdened" is the fastest way to die. Stress weighs more than anything you can ever carry.
Also after looting the contraband: the guards won't bother you since you don't have a bounty . You can just sell to the Trade Authority in Neon.

Also there's a second refreshing contraband chest in Neon in the right back room of the security office if you have stealth to get back there. Empty Nest and The Almagest both have them, too.

If you want to increase a vendors available credits that sell ammo (like the Trade Authority) always buy all of their ammo. It is weightless and never loses value. Plus it's something for which you will always have use.
Amen to that. Rifles are arguably the best weapon class in the game and if you need to shred an enemy they you'll need .50 Mi which are not cheap. Buy em when you can and smoke em while you got em.

Yeah I blow through ammo quickly too, but it helps with my companion having a Magshear too, I tend to switch to the Magsniper now for longer range and use the Magshear closer quarters. And to be Fair Coe and Sarah are both quite useful with the Magshear too.

Just do outpost chest glitch and then drop weapons if u like and keep the ammos instead of spending and refreshing vendor.
if you use your arrow keys, you can get it to exactly the number you want when selling frames or amp. For the gun dupe, just either stack the cases and delete the bottom case, or just build a square science building and put the cases on the roof, then delete the building. No need to delete the whole outpost.
Not sure if anyone will see this or not, but you don't have to waste a point on pickpocketing to get into the Syndicate base. If you climb to the top of the building above Frankie's Grab-N-Go, there's a vent with a novice lock on it!

the Bessal moon is better cause of the time difference on waiting. It also makes two different things, not just adaptive frames. Ive found it on 3 different playthroughs and it was pretty easy just save before you land and quick load if you dont get the mountain - its not RNG. You will make more frams/time on bessal.
Yeah that was the first time I've ever completely disagreed with Benji, Androphon is way over hyped and the Bessel 3 moon is the way to go, the amount of extra time it might take to find it will be quickly made up for in the amount of crafts that you get per amount of sleep, way less down time on Bessel.
@@cretinousmartyr3522 add to that, make an outpost at bessel 3, then you can sell, and fly back to bessel to do 1 hours sleep then back to wherever you are selling, heck 2 hours local sleep and you will get the contraband crates reset too
Yeah i dont know i spent 2 hours looking around on bessel 3 b and i either found everything minus iron or aluminum. Found aluminum and iron and gave up
@@n05ta1gia5 Make sure you land on mountains - there is a spot where hills/rocky mountains and mountains are all near each other but CHOOSE mountains. When you spawn you should see a BLACK mountain top to the left - near the base of it you will find all 4 + water. It wont be but 1-2 extractors worth on some, but it will work amazingly well.
@@n05ta1gia5 Turn your mouse's tracking sensitivity to 250 or so. That is the only way to get a really good cross section of the 3 biomes. I've built there half a dozen times since I tend to get bored with my characters and reroll
If you are doing the regular sleep for a long time cycle, Check the weapons vendors like in the Well or Neon, they DO have a chance to spawn legendary weapons and they stack in the displays. So the one in the Well can have a legendary helmet and I have looted a legendary Grendel from the guy in Neon next to the TA. Obviously stealth is a bonus but the stores do have a sweet spot. (also in the Well someone said the Miniguns don't respawn, they do.)
You can modify the skip pack to balanced or any of the others using the spacesuit mod station. It's super simple, just requires that you researched and spent skill points to unlock the mod.
You don’t lose weapons they go to your ship or if you have identical weapons they stack and only show as one new item. Love the videos.
For the syndicate hideout there is also a secret way in through a vent on the roof or the side of the building. There are vents to secret rooms all over inside too. Thanks for the tips and video.
I think you're supposed to go to a higher level planet to get better stuff, and if you leave the stuff in the crates after opening, leave the planet. Come back and they will automatically become advanced versions. Any legendary ones left will become normal versions so be careful.
You can just save and load after creating crates. Correct about level of planet. I was a level 26 and I duped crates a few times on a level 1 planet, value of weapons were like less than 1000. Went to a level 75 planet, made sure difficulty was Very Hard, and the crates were dropping weapons with 75k value with ridiculous damage. Not that I can sell it anywhere. 😂
when you remove outpost, if you have room in your ship it will load them there first then it will load you. So if you dont see any good stuff check you ships cargo.

You, good sir, are hilarious, love the content and commentary, did the Bessel base, level 67, got my damage mitigation over 400 buying and upgrading, research is 100% done, however, how do you join every faction and run to the breakpoints, then go Crimson Fleet?? Is there a way to do this in first playthrough??
When you beat the game/main story, do you get options? Like to keep your credits/bases and just keep playing or do you automatically loose your builds? I've heard lots of stories.
You can change the type of jet pack in the workbench. (might require skills, but i can)
Lol I kept screaming this in my head too. Once I learned about the weightlifting skill 4 giving so much extra carry capacity, now I can finally swap my mantis with +40 and weapon holster for 185 all stats armor haha
At any city you can just drop all your loot and sell for as long as you want if you get tried of selling you can go off do quests come back to were you dropped you're loot and sell some more. It will not disappear . I have done this multiple times. With nothing being lost pc any way that is what I have . Has anybody else done this. Good video, keep up the good work
You need to show the “standing wait” glitch for selling the guns off easier. That method for selling guns is great when at the start of a new game plus but it takes FOREVER to empty your cargo hold.
If you walk into the neon security office straight ahead there are 2 doors and the one on the right is a closet with chests and contraband . i think that one resets as well. More loot for each trip!
Yeah it resets, not really sure of the reset time, but whenever I've done the sleeping thing on Venus it's always been reset.
Don't forget ,as far as I ca tell you can sell contranand at any trade authority

Yup, just recommend to go to a high level planet for better chance of higher level guns.
1 polymer and 2 titanium for each crate. So if you want to do it with 100 crates 100 polymer and 200 titanium.
BTW, you can sell contraband at any UC Distribution, such as the one in Neon City to save yourself the number of rest cycles you need to do.
I did my guns crate runs on Enlil. LV 65 system. I had my weapons drained and put that energy into engines and grave. Instantly jump away when enemy ships appeared. Did not have the range to hit a lv 75 planet. Shame there was not a glitch for space suits and packs. :)

Has anyone come across Hard Target doing the weapon crate glitch? It’s the only one I haven’t seen.
I have an outpost for titanium and polymer (breeding cliffberry) and have never seen one in the thousands of crates I've made.
I give my “keepers” to my companion before I harvest weapons. Then I give the new ones a once-over to give anything interesting to my companion, so when I sell off the rest I can rapid-fire click Sell without worrying that I’ve accidentally sold anything I want.
Why not sell the contraband in Neon itself rather than leaving and going to Wolf. Also there is another contraband stash in the neon security station. Go into the station and the open cell to the right you can steal from the open case

Something I figured out, for the weapons, instead of deleting the outpost. You can easily stack the pistols and the rifles crates instead of scattering them... then you can just delete the bottom box, and you can all the loot.
I like Bessel III for the time dilation effect.
There are 2 Kore kinetics shops on neon (one next to trade authority and one in the trade tower) also the tea and weapon vendors in ryujin tower buy anything

Is any vendor in the game able to buy just 1 Legendary weapon valued at $47,622? I've heard the most any vendor has is the trade authority at 11k. Not counting ship vendors (unless they buy guns too).
1:41 with a tiny bit more brain power you can craft adaptive frames AND Tau grade Rheostats…just gotta import copper from Andraphon and use the beryllium you can already get on the moon with iron and aluminum.
I gotta do start making those, I think I've made at around 2 million isocentered magnets though
Someone experienced no maintenance shaft key in the room and have to spend a digipick everytime to open the contraband loot door inside the syndicate?
It would be funny if the game tracked time passed and aged your character accordingly. You'd be able ro tell who's been nipping off to places like Venus and sitting in a chair for months at a time.
i thought you could sell contraband in Neon?
there is other place to loot contraband create for example. in neon security office storage area you can take around 9 contraband too and you actually can sell at trade autority on neon. there is no need to travel to other place.
the other place i found is security office on gagaran outpost in alpha century system i think it's the 4th planet? and after i loot that i go to olypus almagest spacestation that place have around 8 low level spacer. in the vault it have 9 contraband.
im looting these place for easy money every time i reset in ng+ because it cost you nothing and get you reasonable sum of money to upgrade your frontier to kill/capture bigger ship for sell.....
the worst part about running ng+ isn't making money part but the fact that you have to travel back to vlad for each and every temple plus a long fking cutscreen that i never watch. like it's ok to watch 10 time but after 150 time it's kinda get to me.
The real bottleneck that really never gets mentioned is the little credits that vendors hold. Youll spend more time waiting for vendors to restock their credits than getting 1 million in a sitting.
Unless you want to spend a day repetively waiting and selling...
That's where the Venus vendor comes in. Plus the standing while waiting glitch.
If you use thw personal atmosphere it will give you 30 seconds of full o2 which is great when encumbered. Lets tou move freely.

Why not sell to the contraband to the trade authority on Neon? Then wait 7 days UT(pretty sure that's how long it takes contraband crates to reset) on a bench or chair and keep running that loop without even having to leave the planet? Isn't there a TA at the Neon Core as well as Ebbside?
600 ut is what you need. Venus you can get 600 in 3 -7 hrs (can't remember the exact hrs) where on neon their UT is... 35 for 24 hours. So you'd have to wait 17 times the full 24 cycle.
@Kayvel54 Thank you I wasn't sure the exact hours, but I may have to check out Venus for an outpost depending on resources, does it require any planatary habitation shills? I have a nice spot on Bessel 3-B, and I believe 24 on planet Hours correlates to around 1750, I could give an exact number later.
@@LtObvi Venus needs 1 rank into the outpost building perk. If you're on Bessel, iirc, 9 hrs is 600 and some change. It's the planet I use. Otherwise land on venus and make sure you have a bed in your ship then just sleep there. No need for an outpost.

Why is an hour of UT worth 100 UT hours to 1 hour on Venus?
A day is defined as the time it takes a planet to spin on it's axis. I'm assuming that the game breaks the "days" into hours by dividing that time by 24, since there are 24 hours in a day on Earth.
The reason an 'hour' on Venus is so long compared to elsewhere is because Venus rotates so slowly on it's axis that a single day on Venus is more than 200 Earth days long... and (irrelevant factoid here) it rotates backwards... so the sun would rise, VERY SLOWLY, in the west and set in the east (if you could see it from the surface).
So... probably more than you ever wanted to know about why a hour is so long on Venus in Starfield, but there it is.
Why not just sell the contraband on neon to the trade authority?
The stars name is Sol, and you would say that "Solar system"
Bessel 3 always freezes my game. Neon, you can make 60k per cycle though. Not bad
Sol is the Roman equivalent of the Greek sun god Helios. It's pronounced "soul" in English. "1 Sol" is a measurement of time = 23.934 hours. = 1 earth complete revolution facing the sun. Saturn rotates faster than Earth so a day on Saturn is shorter than a day on Earth. A day on Saturn is about 10.7 hours long while a day on Earth is 23.934 hours long.
For the weapon glitch, in my limited observation, Leviathan has been the best planet for it

Heads up guys you sell to all the shops in neon from your ships inventory you do not need to carry the weapons or frames on your person.
I have a vendor hack for replenishing there money. If you sell them high value items after they are out of money and then buy back before leaving the menu it will replenish there money for the full value of what you bought back

Bro, if you think it’s hard to get the amount you want to sell correct on mouse and keyboard, have you tried it on controller because your only option is to hold the stick and go one at a time or hit the left bumper and have a chunk off a random amount at a time but I love your videos. Keep it up bro.
Dpad works too. Helps when you're trying to tick off the final 1 or 2.
Ya technically can hold the stick,dpad and hit whatever bumper for the more/less to go faster.
@@JoeBezkyeah you can use either but they tick the same, 1 at a time. Like when you try to give an ally 1 ammo, you usually wanna get to minimum as fast as possible, that’s when you bumper. Should be like weapon tuning in cod lol.

Just so you know, many people experience vertigo and nausea when there is sudden movement with a low FoV (from which all Bethesda games have suffered). If you don't want your videos to nauseate those viewers, either use a mod that increase the Field of View, or avoid suddenly wiggling you cursor around as you are doing.
Sol is pronounced Soul. Like Solar System. Sol -> Solar. Plane -> Planar. Solar is just the adjective form of the noun Sol. The name of our star.
And it's from the Latin word Solis meaning sun which also relates to the word Solus meaning alone.

No, they come empty. But thanks to Bethesda Magic if you load a save the game treats them as if you'd entered any other zone with weapon crates and populates them appropriately.
Just sell your stuff at the Trade Authority in Neon…. And wait on the chair outside for 48 hours… it’ll be restocked.
I suspect that the cutter will get nerfed.

Bessel 3 is better for me atleast I have 4 resources in 1 spot… Aluminum, nickel, cobalt and iron

Money is pretty useless in the end game. Your not buying weapons, ships, etc.. You have better already. I have like 3mil credits.. i barely touch them.

I did the outpost weapon crate thing… several times. Opened them all, deleted to toss it all into ships inv. Repeat.
Picked out the very best items off the top of the list. It's easy when the gold and purple falls upwards to the top…
Then spent about 20+ hours selling everything. Not exciting gameplay. But I did upgrade a handful of weapon slots for me and companions.
And ended up with +1.5 mill credits, now I'm over 2 million the first time.
But I'm still so burnt on having to do this to Finally get working money from this game, I've been playing Sunkenland all week.doh.
A small hint regarding weapon collecting: you collect all of them but if you own one already that will stack and it will not shown as new!
