All I'm saying is that if they ever make a third game, the developers better not make me play as Six again, because I'll be walking her into every beartrap, monster, and cliffside I can after this stunt, ngl
Bro, this shit is worse than death. Imagine having to go through an time loop. you constantly being abandoned and betrayed by your own friend and you becoming a monster stuck in forever in an empty room

It makes sense too me that six was going to do that at the end. Idk if anyone notices but every time you die she seems too keep going, moving forward without you with the few seconds that remain after you die and before you start over again. That’s what my mind first thought of when I saw the ending. She never really cared about him at all. Even tho he risked everything to save her. It’s fucked up lol
I'm pretty sure she kept moving because her scripting said to keep moving. The same thing happens in other games that don't immediately give you a game over.
The creators said it was because she was hungry and didn’t want to eat him, so that’s why she let him fall down in case somehow he managed to survive, because she knew that he wouldn’t survive her hunger
The Parts of Little Nightmares II 1:23 - the Forest. 8:57 - the Hunter’s Cabin. 41:41 - the School. 1:32:49 - the Hospital. 2:21:26 - the Pale City. 3:10:21 - Her World. 3:14:27 - Her. 3:22:12 - a Day to Remember.
I love how this series relies more on unsettling atmosphere and genuinely creepy characters. Having tense scenes where you *have* to get up close and personal with the monsters. Instead of just shoving a screamer in your face like most modern horror games
Spoiler warning!!!: I honestly felt like the game’s whole concept is you can’t escape your nightmares. My theory is that when Mono took a good look at thin man, he realized it was him. That’s why he removed his hat and used his power. When Six saw Mono for the first time without his hat after he saves her, she doesn’t react beyond just staring at him, and when she snaps out of her stare, she immediately leaves him behind, not bothering to help him run away from the flesh/eye monster. I think she recognized Mono as the thin man as well in that moment. When she catches Mono for the last time, she finally lets him go, the exact same time as her hunger pang noise from the first game kicks in. I think Six, in that moment accepted that she and Mono were doomed from the start to become their own worst nightmare. For Mono, that means becoming the very thing that ultimately fought to separate him from others, forcing him into a life of hellish solitude. For Six, I think she knows she can never resist her urges, hence the defeated way she walks away into the portal. Anyway, that’s just my thoughts, sorry for the long post. Just wondered if it wasn’t necessarily a time loop, but this. Thanks for reading :)
This is the best theory I've seen so far and it makes perfect sense anf also makes me see the characters differently. I was thinking that Six let Mono go due to him becoming what he becomes in the future out of fear. She might have thought that letting him die would change something despite the fact everything restarts and you can't escape the fate that awaits you. Why she truly let him go I don't know but I feel like just sticking with your theory.
As Count said this theory is liger on point as the game goes i think it’s on a loop as well especially when mono takes his paper bag of to see that the skinny man he is fighting is him and as he uses the kids who turned into glitches against him to destroy but as a loop. it will keep going and going until a new era comes
Oh and since this was a prequel in the first game she I think eats what was going after her and turns into or gets that things powers becoming what she didn’t want to. That means this might be the last gamr
Damn, I did not expect the ending to be like that . I been holding her hand the entire game and made sure she was safe only for her to screw me over . My jaw dropped at the end lol .
i thought she was at side of the monsters considering when i did the 2:15:05 part, i saw her running directly next to ceiling man to pull the dead person out before i went to the other room... like come here to this man who is actively sawing that dead person right above it. was stuck at that room for longer than i can admit before i saw six helped window at left.
The ending is so insane. In the story, it wasn’t Mono’s first time going through the entire journey. In fact, he probably went through that exact journey a countless number of times without remembering it. When he was betrayed by Six the very first time, he grew up to become TV Man, otherwise known as the future Mono. Then fast forward to the future, Mono was somehow able to rebirth and start over again, but he lost all prior memory about Six or the betrayal. Meanwhile, the future Mono, TV Man, knew what was bound to happen to his past self, so he tried to stop Mono and Six from succeeding. TV Man wasn’t the antagonist in the story, Six was. TV Man was Mono’s future self trying to save him from a preventable fate. It doesn’t end there. Now that we know TV Man was Mono all along, there’s another possibility. Mono could be trapped in an endless loop of rebirthing, getting betrayed, and becoming TV Man for the NEXT Mono. The reason why future Mono wants to stop Mono is because he wants to end the infinite loop and save Mono from the inevitable shock and suffering when he gets betrayed.
I know when he grew up to be the TV man I was so shocked perhaps six saw that mono was the TV man and was scared of mono maybe that’s why six betrayed mono :(
@@kanao6698 I WAS SHOCKED TOO! 😭😭😭 I don't understand why she could betray him though because if she didn't drop him they could've probably grown up together without Mono trying to come after six in the first place, so there wouldn't need a reason to be scared 🤔. (I just finished the game btw 🥳👌👌👌)
And that same idea was in the first game that because of the Hunger Six repeats the women's life so both stories show the ever repeating cycles essentially!
Idk man, future mono gived her the sound box from the start of a game witch was preceles to her, and this thing was keeping away all this fleshaye things I dont think he hated her for what she did, if you look at it, he gave her the thing he destroyd in the first place
a spoiler.... Don’t read if you haven’t watched. What a weird ending, I wasn’t expecting Mono to be the tall guy... I think he was trying to stop the loop from happening all over again by stopping the old Mono in order to not get betrayed by Six.. such a depressing ending lol I thought it would end with him stopping the radio tower or something. But you know it’s a good game when you never expect the ending I guess
@@suk1i158 that would actually make sense ngl , if they are going to release the extra it will probably give the reason why she did that. But honestly I'm still trying to process what she did , such a good game and an incredible plot twist
But how the hell they get into this loop/world?!?! This is what don’t make sense to me.. why is everything distorted, why are the ppl warped/missing? The teacher, doctor, hunter guy..?! What’s the deal with that shit 🥴🥴
yeah, it kinda ruins the atmosphere of the game. but i also love seeing their reactions to the monsters and theories so i just watch without commentary first and then with commentary after
The hospital is the freakiest moment of the entire franchise, without a doubt. It's not even the doctor that's the worst part. It's his "patients" you have to deal with
Man, the next time I'll be replaying this game, instead of being scared I'm gonna be sad whenever the thin man is chasing me cause now I know it's Mono trying to save his past self from Six. Edit: It is Aug 26, 2023. Little Nightmares 3 trailer just got releaed a couple of days ago. Lets GOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
@@Jclyyn If he was trying to kill himself then he would have in that scene where he grabs mono. The thin man did not want to kill himself. He was hunting down six to capture her and keep mono from saving her because when he does, the cycle repeats itself.
This his me in a different way....it is just such a sad ending, a cycle he can never escape because of six :(( if there will be a third game he better get his revenge and true fate although it’s not possible rn:((
If you think about it, both Mono and Six are basically demons now. Mono is a teleporting, brainwashing one, and Six is a soul sucking vampire with a never ending hunger.
I wouldn’t say demons , you’d understand if you played/ watched Little nightmares first game. I won’t go into details and spoil it for you. But if you have I’ll discuss it with you 😊
@@jungkooksmom6990 ..who in their right mind would play little nightmares 2 first lol (Well, apparently me? More like watching a gameplay, but I do know the general basis and ending of 1)
Six's boss fight is so genuinely intense and intriguing, especially with Mono's voice echoing. I wonder if they'll be able to top that in the third game. If they do, I will be incredibly impressed.
One thing I like about the design of the main characters is their posture: they tend to walk always hunched back, showing a lack of self-esteem. I think that this is quite realistic: childhood can be complicated and soul-destroying.
i think it's more leaning towards and hunched due to running and hiding all the time, trying to make yourself "smaller" and less noticable when you hunch over. Sort of like when you sneak you lean forward? i like your idea tho
@@auhsojacosta1672 Six didn't betray him, that's from Mono's perspective. Six dropped him *because* at the secret ending, her stomach was growling. So, she could have killed Mono No one is the real villian here and watch or play the game before judging that Six is evil or someone else is
I guess Six learned that the Thin Man was Mono and thought that dropping him would prevent the Thin Man from existing, but dropping him actually led to the creation of the Thin Man.
@@loughlinreid-cleary2994 I don't know about that, cause six always helped him when he was getting "sucked" in the tv, I think it was just later on when six was caught by the thinman has changed his/her perspective on mono.
I love the small details that show Six is not just some sweet little girl. The way she warms her hands over the flames of the incinerator, or how she just kicks at the bodies lying dead in the street. It's the little things
At 1:21:15, if you don't kill the other kid with the pipe you will be able to see something interesting, not going to say what it is, but you will like it.
Probably well made flexibility and also the fact that the ceiling is missing those stuff so yeah easier to cling but my other question is how people do that with feet and have that much energy with that that much weight
I think when Six betrays young Mono, Mono becomes depressed, turns to tall man and the old Mono tries to prevent his younger one from getting betryed from Six. That is my thought
THERE'S A SECRET ENDING! (SPOILERS) After Six drops Mono she goes through the TV and it's revealed why she drops him. Her stomach starts to rumble. In Little Nightmare 1 she gets hungry from time to time and eventually, she eats an innocent Nome (little friendly humanoid with a cone hat) (the Nome was actually a human playable character in a LN 1 DLC). So Six drops Mono to save his life, to stop her from eating him.
@Xaviour Reign Pinto That wouldn't really fit with the way she drops him off the ledge on purpose. Either she wanted him to die from the fall, or she wanted to strand him in that obviously hellish place.
SPOILERS It’s honestly incredibly sad, Mono did anything for six to help and protect her, there was countless times where Mono could have left her behind but he didn’t. It’s weird though bc it seems like six cares bout Mono in scenes where she would run to his side and help him up when about to fall but then at the end she betrays him with just that tiny bit of hesitation like nothing happened. Such a sad ending. It seems like the tall man was actually Mono trying to stop his younger self maybe bc he knows what six is going to do or he just doesn’t want to be in the loop anymore. What is six going to do now? What if she was the geisha lady the whole time? It’s really a compelling yet truly sad story, I fell so in love with the characters and Mono was honestly a beautiful character it was disheartening to see what happens to him. 🥺
@@Vocalo_fan I think that they are (or rather, Mono will grow up to be) the same kind of creatures, instead of the same person. Mono and the Tall Man are mind /electricity controllers while Six and the Geisha are monsters of neverending hunger. They aren't related though, and the older creatures will fight the younger ones because otherwise, the younger ones will kill them and take their territory once they grow up. Six and Mono aren't exactly enemies since they will have to find their own territories anyway (the city being ideal for Mono and the Maw being ideal for Six), but they can't be friends anymore either once they grow up.
Maybe she found out that the thin man was actually an older version of mono and wanted to prevent the chaos that he seemed to cause? Idk, it is seems weird, because she looked like she actually cared for mono. There were times that she could have jut left him to die before that, and she didn't.
The first part was very memorable but the twist in the second part is something else, awesome story, gameplay, graphics, music , truly a masterpiece, amazing developer's
I think I know what happens at the end, let me explain. When Mono breaks open the sewer hatch where he encounters The Tall Man/ Older Mono, Mono’s Bag floats away in the mysterious rain currents. While Mono uses his technopathy abilities to fend off the Tall Man, He now has showed the nightmarish world his true identity, no bag on his head, no nothing. While Mono Fights Monstrous version of Six, He finally breaks the Music Box, Turning Six Back to normal- (everyone knows that if you know what happened in Little Nightmares 2). But While Mono And Six Run from the alive maw, You see how Mono Stumbles and falls, it is because he is tired from fighting Monstrous version of Six. After that, where Six catches Mono, Six lets go of course. But if Mono kept the bag on his face, Six wouldn’t have known that Mono looked like and is The Tall Man. Which basically means Six would’ve pulled Mono Up and escaping the alive Maw, and Mono and Six would end up pushed out of the Tall Man’s TV Represented World. That is what I think. Let me know if you think I am right. By the way if you want to know what actually happens at the end of Little Nightmares 2, Just Scroll down😉 At the end of Little Nightmares 2, Mono and Six run swiftly towards the Exit of the nightmarish Tall Man’s World. But while Mono and Six are running, Mono Stumbles and falls down, that is because he is tired and worn-out from fighting monstrous version of Six. But When Mono had gotten back up on his feet and continued running towards Six, he jumps on to Six’s hand. But most people think he would get pulled up by Six After all Mono did for Six if you played Little nightmares until the end. But that isn’t true. You see, Six had let go of Mono’s hand because Six had finally seen his true identity, and Six thought that Mono looked and is The Tall Man. That’s why Six let go of Mono’s hand. The reason for this is because Six Thought that Mono is just a person that hurt her inside The Tall Man’s Nightmarish, Disastrous World, And hurting her meaning making her into a Monster. An evil version of herself that has taken over her soul and body. So Six Wanted to punish The Tall Man/Mono by dropping him into the Maw, all alone and sits and stares into the darkness of the Maw and Eyes, watching him for eternity. But Mono finds a chair in the middle of the Gloop and eyes, and decides to sit on THAT chair from the beginning of the game, growing up just to be The Tall Man that had been punished by Six. But wait there’s even more. Since Mono is the character you play as in the game, and The Tall Man is You’re older self, you were chasing yourself this entire time. But the number 1 reason why you were chasing you’re younger self is because The Tall Man/Older Mono wanted to separate Six from Younger Mono so that The Tall Man/Older Mono could get revenge on the girl who imprisoned him a long time ago, and that revenge was trapping Six in a dark room filled with some toys and a music box which kept Six company. The room that The Tall Man/Older Mono Created for Six to be stuck in was supposed to be a prison that locked out Six’s Good Part of her own Soul, which made her not fully corrupted by The Tall Man, but mostly corrupted by him. So basically the whole of Little Nightmares 2 is a cycle to which The Tall Man was created, and Mono finding Six to do the same cycle again. The cycle starts as Mono finding Six in the dark, dingy room that The Tall Man Created For Six to be stuck in as it is, The Tall Man Taking revenge on Six by separating Mono and Six so The Tall Man could take Six to his TV Nightmarish World and turn her into the Monstrous version of herself, Mono Losing his bag from the rain out the sewer while fighting The Tall Man, Mono saving Six from the grasp of The Tall Man, Mono and Six running and stumbling from the alive Maw, Six catching Mono and Six Seeing Mono’s true identity and Six Dropping Mono into the dark void of the alive Maw, Mono grows up into The Tall Man, and the whole cycle I explained just repeats over again. Also, The Tall Man can transport himself through the TV’s to the past, present, of future, that’s how The Tall Man can chase the younger version of Mono. And one more thing, if Six pulled Mono up from the dark void of the alive Maw, the cycle would’ve ended with The Tall Man not existing from then on, and escaping everything that they went through Let me know if I am right about the games lore. This took me pretty long to explain but no matter of that😉 Thank you!
I love how in the end, Thin Man slightly nods at the camera, as if he knows that the audience is baffled by what they are seeing. Also, I don't believe that Six was Mono's enemy throughout the entire game. If she had been, why wouldn't she have betrayed him sooner? There's gotta be more to it. Maybe something happened to her mentally while in the tower. I'm not ready to hate her yet.
I think she was hungry, and to prevent anything bad happening she had to choose to either eat him or just let him go. Since she’s eaten friends in the past
Im pretty sure its cause she knew she needed him to get out of the nightmare dimension, but didnt need him after she got out, thats why she stayed for so long and helped him through thick and thin, she knew his worth and when his worth would untimely reach zero
@@jsvfifsnsgxkdj9302 when you say nightmare dimension, are you referring to the signal tower or the entire little nightmares universe? If you’re referring to the signal tower, that still doesn’t explain why she wouldn’t have just betrayed him sooner (before she was even kidnapped) but if you’re referring to the entire little nightmares universe, that still explains nothing cause there is no escape. It’s a messed up world. Mono’s worth would never run out.
@@thevegananimator8586 heres the thing, she wouldnt be able to get as far as she did without him, and its not like she COULD abandon him before she got kidnapped because then who would save her from the dimension that I do mean is in the signal tower

I just finished playing this game. One of the best games I've played in awhile. From my prospective, the kid wins and ends the time loop with the number of times he caught me trying to save yellow jacket girl. Such an evil litte girl.
So he’s stuck in a loop and he was trying to help his older self get revenge on six for betraying him and all along the tall thin man was the good guy ???
I spoil the secret ending a bit here dont read it if you dont want to know but its needed for my argument thing is if you get the secret ending you see six getting out oc the tv and then her hunger sound and from the first game kicks in and we all know she will eat the next thing in sight if she gets hungry Wich would be him So in a way she didn't betray him and didn't kil him cause she carred about him and did not want to eat him
Each memory collected was a point in time where six betrayed mono. Six does get captured from time to time. But when mono shows up she runs cause she knows what she did, and calms down when she realizes he has no memory of what took place. Her true nature is that she doesn't care for anyone but herself, when she has the power to change and doesn't.
@Vision Gaming X I also speculate more little nightmare characters.......Mono means one. Duo or Tango for two Traes is Three Quadra is Four Penta is Five Six?
I feel like the shotgun guy was only normal one out of everyone who got possessed by the radio signal tower , why you ask? Well he had a shotgun and a mask on him to prevent him seeing the TV , and on top he was away from the city
@@diamondlove9601 Considering the possessed human parts at the hospital or the feral porcelain children at the school. I'd say Shotgun guy was pretty normal in comparison.
Also we see that in the house he created a fake family at the dinner table , that might be indicating that he misses his family who most likely died due to tower signal
For anyone wondering why six dropped mono at the end of the game here is my explanation: so y’all may be wondering what did mono do to be dropped well six dropped him cuz of an actual good reason so what happened was that since the thin man couldn’t get mono away from her he took six away from him instead since six is in a so obvious spot and mono didn’t grab her when she held out a hand cuz he was afraid he would get captured to so he stayed hidden and six got taken away so the only thing left of her before not seeing mono for a while was her shadow it disappeared on the last second when mono was about to touch the shadow so later in the game while mono is going through stuff to find six the thin man told six that if she saved him (cuz the thin man knew she was going to save him) mono would later in the game turn into him and betray her six felt so betrayed and heartbroken she couldn’t believe he would do that so by the time mono got her back into her self after her being a monster six and mono started running cuz the eyewalls were about to break and then when six made it first she held out a hand for him and instead of pulling him up like usual she took one last look at him before..you know dropping him mono waited patiently for her to pull him up but then that’s where it happened six dropped him mono felt so betrayed and he now started hating her so he sat down on a chair and after years he became the thin man (and Btw the thin man wanted to help mono get away from six cuz the thin man is trying to stop his little self from going in a loop again and again and again…so that is the actual reason why feel free to ask any questions.
Theory! I was speaking to my girlfriend about this, we were saying how that bag must have meant something, like he was covering his insecurities with a bag. So, he never once showed his face through out the game to her because he seemed insecure. When he finally removes the bag, he attempts to fight his own insecurity. Himself. He must have be afraid of himself form the beginning, and once he got a good look at the Tall Man. He saw that was him, the whole time he was being chased by himself. And he knew, he should try to remove himself from the part of him he didn’t want to become. With the whole concept of trust in this game, how Mono trusts Six to catch him before he falls but at the very last jump. She lets him go, seeing that he was had the face of the Tall Man. It seems if she didn’t drop him and didn’t betray him, Mono would have never became the Tall man. Six was afraid of the very thing she created, she created the Tall man the second she dropped him. That betrayal must have turned into revenge and he wanted her to suffer for what she has done to him. In this loop, or what seems to be a loop. This only keeps happening because of the choice Six makes at the end, if she makes a different choice this nightmare could have ended. Where the bag comes in was that line of trust they had, it covered his face and she didn’t need to see his face to trust him but when the time came to showing his face. Something in her brain sparks, blaming him for her nightmares and wanting to remove the threat. When he breaks her music box, that was something sentimental to her, a safe place. Maybe a place where she could hide her insecurities. I feel like this whole has to deal with Trust, Insecurities and Betrayal.
Wow just finished this game, played it straight after finishing the first one. It’s a huge leap in sophistication, the music, art, storytelling and puzzle solving. What a wonderful piece of art this is
THERE'S A SECRET ENDING! (SPOILERS) After Six drops Mono she goes through the TV and it's revealed why she drops him. Her stomach starts to rumble. @@reviewthereviewer7034 Yeah, I've played the games myself and seen the ending and was trying to get myself. But I have thought of something new, It's a theory. So when the man has collected her we get her shadow right, and she slowly shows that she has lost her sanity because Six's "human" spirit has been removed and she no longer acts like a "child" and develops greed like those passengers on the maw. So I'm basically saying that the Six we happen to know is not actually Six
@@reviewthereviewer7034 but then again She did that on purpose, she just made it suspense and then dropped us, I don't think she wanted to survive and wanted to escape alone because her shadow which I think is the real version of her but that gets removed when the man grabs her and turns her into a monster. The tall man tries to possibly murder his child-self so he couldn't reach the tower. The tall man is Mono (possibly) looping through time and time again going through the same process to eliminate them both. And it seems that the Tall man is the most strongest thing in this universe and since mono is them they are capable of the same power and strength. She only gets hungry at the end but throughout the gameplay the both children manged fine with their hunger despite all of the tiring things they do
@Xaviour Reign Pinto From my prospective, she starts to build up these much much more monstrous acts after she is formed into the monster so she must've had a better hunger management before she tries to murder Mono

Six could've ended the loop if she just saved Mono right then and there. I get that she wanted revenge on future Mono, but future Mono wanted revenge on her first- if she just believed that Mono was truly trying to help, she could've prevented the whole thing. But DAMN- this is the single best time-paradox story ever!!
Future Mono/the thin man should have took Six, broken her neck at that very moment and that's it. Btw, I don't think Six is aware of the time loop, so this theory isn't complete.

When they are on the “boat” heading to the city is one of the best intros ever in a video game, it reminds me of silent hill and this is something horror games really need too. The music, the fog, the atmosphere; it just prepares you for the real nitemares that’s about to unfold. Brilliant
The game is so brilliant. I’m a music producer who can tell the sound design, ambiance, and music is amazing. The sound design maybe people don’t care very much about but it makes a big difference. The storyline and plot are unpredictable and because expecting a happy ending is too common. And I love how they incorporate musical elements into the puzzles aside from solving the puzzles with visuals and observation.
If you get all the collectibles there is an extra scene before the credits. It shows Six coming out of a television and looking at a pamphlet for the Maw, and then her stomach grumbles. That would be the beginning of the first game.

I don't think you should really believe just one, but be open to all of them, since they could all be true and express different perspectives of the game. Viewing the game from different perspectives is the best way to understand it, because you are looking at the different details and the different plots that are shown in the game. They all correlate to the true meaning of the game, and so, you should not select just one theory as the right one to believe in. (●´ω`●)💝
That’s one of the great things about Little Nightmares as a game/concept. It’s so open-ended and up to interpretation that any theory could be correct and IS correct so long as you believe it, especially since the devs hardly ever confirm anything. Honestly I’d love it if the devs could release a lore book just explaining the story of the world, even outside the context of just Six and Mono.
After watching the first game and this, I noticed that Six's music box was everywhere in the first game while she was on her solo journey after she betrayed Mono. In my opinion, the music box represents the comfort and innocence when Six was going through the dark times by herself until she was saved by Mono and for Mono to break that music box he unleashed the stronger dark side of Six and gave her the strength to let him go and be on her own again.
She may have been mad at him or was controlled by the signal tower. This is something I've worried about children: If you break something they like, in a dangerous situation where you both need to survive, will their bad priorities in life end up being the thing that kills you?
I’m thinking that this game is a prequel. We can see that six does not have her powers that she gained at the end of the first game, and that she finds her iconic raincoat in this game. So maybe after she abandoned Mono she ran to the sea and snuck onto the maw so she could kill The Lady. This whole game was Mono helping Six get closer to gaining ultimate power. Once Mono was no longer of use, Six discarded him.
No because Very Little Nightmares is the Prequel to Little Nightmares. It shows us where Six came from and how she actually got her rain coat as well as how she entered the maw
@@ihatelife5464 yea just did some research, completely forgot that very little nightmares existed and that is in fact, the prequel to little nightmares 1

This game isn’t a masterpiece, it’s bigger. It’s a master of masterpieces. The visuals look stunning, the beautiful music, the graphics, the design and much more, but the story is the best. Mono helped six and at the end was betrayed. It an emotional, dark, amazing, brutal and powerful game. Definitely a 11/10
Totally. It is so perfect that even when people do reviews of it, the only "negative" thing they say is that it's a bit short, but for 30 dollars it is more than perfect!

Everyone here is talking about how evil Six is, but... I'm pretty sure she's just scared? Sure, she isn't a great person per se, we saw that in LN1, but she's also just a kid, and she's been through a lot. Mono stole her away from her former life - and that life didn't look _great_ admittedly, but it was probably better than what came afterwards - and she followed and helped him, despite being freezing cold (until she finds the raincoat) and in mortal peril at every turn. While following Mono, she gets kidnapped and tortured, crushed underneath a collapsing building, then kidnapped and tortured _again_ to the point where she becomes a monster herself. She has reason enough to blame him for all of this. Every time Mono messes with his powers, she pulls him back out of that dimension. But you can tell that she's terrified of him then, and terrified of what he's doing - the second time she pulls him out, she flinches away from him a little as he moves to get up, and the third time, she actively scoots away from him afterwards. Not that she gets very far, because that's when Mono's little experiments summon the Thin Man and she gets taken away by him. She kept helping us, and she kept paying the price for it. If I'm being honest, I don't blame her for letting go at the end there. I'm sure Mono is a good person, since he kept going back to save her, but he's also the one who introduced all these dangers and pains into her life in the first place - she probably assumed that horrible things would keep happening to her if she stayed by his side. (Poor fool that she is, horrible things kept happening to her regardless.) Calling her 'evil' without taking into account any of the things that have happened to her is incredibly callous. Take a moment to think, at least. If I had to define the message of these games, I'd say they're probably about the cycle of abuse. How the victims of it can't defend themselves at first, and later, once they have the power to make the decisions, just repeat the same patterns their abusers once used on them - because they never knew a different way, and because they've learned to prioritise their own survival. How a relationship, even with the best intentions, can be unhealthy and harmful for both parties. This doesn't just go for Six. Mono, too, becomes his own kind of monster at the end - the same monster that hurt him and his friend in the first place. And he's going to repeat the cycle.
I’m Agree with you but for me, six is a nice person we can see on VLN and LN2 Well these two game is a prequel to LN1, she is a nice person but these nightmares make her turning into a person which just cares with herself and she decides to not trust everyone, and mono is the last person she giving trust
Well the thing is there’s also a lot of stuff making her evil the fact that she started breaking mannequins hands sitting while a guys burning up and how is six being cold supped to help her be nice and also thinman didn’t hurt in the first place there must’ve been a first cycle where six did something really bad and then thinman came she also brutally murdered a lot of things have you even seen the 1st game and most of the time she wasn’t with him in the school she got captured so she hardly helped him there the doctor she only went through the doctor not mannequins or hands so she hardly did much the pale city she got captured and I don’t think thinman tortured her if he did then why does she have all the stuff and she literally attempted murder there’s no way she thought mono was gonna live if attempted murder or even murder from the 1st game is not enough I don’t know what is
Even though I’ve seen the ending hundreds of times, it still always pulls on my heart strings even though I know what’s coming up. That’s how powerful a game can be.
@@cysmic8112 No, because they're similar but act different. They're mannequins, and they attack you. That's it all the similarities. They act on darkness, not sound and their design resembles toys that were torn apart and stitched back by a toddler. Silent Hill's mannequins look sexual. Something to do about the victim's sexual frustration or something.
Man, really makes you feel bad for Mono. The poor boy didn't deserve that. He risked tooth and nail for Six through out the whole ordeal, and always made sure to be back at her side as soon as he got what was needed to move forward. There were so many fucking times he could have left her behind, but no he decided to be loyal and stay by her through it all. Though I guess there were a couple of times, when you can start questioning their relationship. Like one of the death scenes, where Six runs to Mono's side as if genuinely worried for his safety. And near the end where he refuses to help her as she reaches out for him before getting taken by The Broadcaster. Honestly it's kinda confusing if you think about it. But then again I could be thinking too deep into it.
Aren’t you forgetting that six is a child? She’s literally been chased by monsters left and right for a good chunk of her life, and at this point, I can understand why it’s hard for her to realize what’s right and what’s wrong
im just saying even tho mono stayed by her she would have never turned into a monster if he would have stopped like she said she told him to stop and she got scared of him the second time he went in the tv and the 3rd time he went in she pulled him in and told him to stop but he did it anyways and then the broadcaster came and took her and thats y she told him to stop and he got her nearly killed even tho he saved her what if he grew up and learned how to use his powers and he started to treat 6 wrong and lock her up in the tv for time to time but we will never know if he would do that or if she thought about it we need more to the story
@@roseliddell7785 bro they’re both children. On top of that, in the first game when six was hungry she literally ate a nome that offered her food. I understand where you’re coming from but six is a literal demon, I don’t know why she did that to mono or what comes across her mind, but I must say I’m starting to question her character and goals
Dont worry guys the tall man was just trying to tell his older self not to help six and guess what he will eventually captures six cause they are stuck in this loop for eternity.
@@ShiveringCharlatan also mono/thin man give up for trying in so many times but failed, so he suicide, as you can see the beggining of the little nightmare 1 theres a man who suicide with 1 chair under him.
SPOILER ALERT, obviously Why is there a suuuuch large amount of people suggesting the idea of "Six being hungry", suggesting that this game is a sequel to the first game story-wise. Has it been actually confirmed about the story timeline? Because I personally think next: Six could've betrayed Mono at any point prior to that if she actually had same intention of doing that, so she wasn't hostile before; she has seen Mono's face after being rescued at the end, and most likely she's had way more than enough time to see who's the Man in the Hat (because the main intention of Mono was afterall to punish Six, to make her know that she won't get away from Mono that easy after betrayal), so the reason she let go of him off the cliff is because she saw a pretty much her greatest enemy after all that torture she's gone through, technically caused by Mono himself; and last, but not least - the reason why I think it's a prequel is for 3 reasons: 1) We never heard Six's stomach growl throughout 2nd game, nor her eating anything at all; 2) In the secret ending we heard that stomach growl of Six's, so my guess is that after turning back from giant monster she gained hunger as well somehow, maybe a curse from that dimension or something, and the aftermath of that we've seen in the 1st game; 3) During first like 5 min of the 1st game there's a long legged man in black suit, hanged off the ceiling. There is no straight indication. of course, such as a hat, hair or face to be seen nearby, but I'm still pretty sure that's our guy - succesfully escaped the damned loop somehow. Of course, in the end, it is my theory, not heard from anyone yet, but I did base it on everything what actually happens in the game, so that's why I think it makes sense.
Bro that's what I also thought of I think that little nightmares 2 was first then came little nightmares 1 because also in little nightmares 2 six didn't have a raincoat yet until they found it but in Little nightmares 1 she had a raincoat after plus in the comics she was still in the city until little nightmares 1 where she was at the maw

It makes sense too me that six was going to do that at the end. It’s actually disturbing and I love that
They don't rely on jump scares that's what makes it good
Spoiler warning!!!:
I honestly felt like the game’s whole concept is you can’t escape your nightmares.
Actually, your theory makes sense. I think they're just on the loop. After six entering the portal, its just goes back right from the start.
The Thin Man was trying to help Mono and Six, they were just too scared to realize it.
He’s caught up in this infinite loop until six decides not to betray him
Idk man, future mono gived her the sound box from the start of a game witch was preceles to her, and this thing was keeping away all this fleshaye things
I dont think he hated her for what she did, if you look at it, he gave her the thing he destroyd in the first place
a spoiler....
But you know it’s a good game when you never expect the ending I guess
i have a theory that six saw who he would become and dropped him to get rid of the threat, and then ended up creating it.

Mono’s back is pretty straight upwards so idk what you mean, it’s more or less the monsters that have the hunched back (minus the teacher)
i think it's more leaning towards and hunched due to running and hiding all the time, trying to make yourself "smaller" and less noticable when you hunch over. Sort of like when you sneak you lean forward? i like your idea tho

In the end its still an unexplainable story;-;
I think when Six betrays young Mono, Mono becomes depressed, turns to tall man and the old Mono tries to prevent his younger one from getting betryed from Six. That is my thought
@@Whitheren that’s a great theory
THERE'S A SECRET ENDING! (SPOILERS) After Six drops Mono she goes through the TV and it's revealed why she drops him. Her stomach starts to rumble. In Little Nightmare 1 she gets hungry from time to time and eventually, she eats an innocent Nome (little friendly humanoid with a cone hat) (the Nome was actually a human playable character in a LN 1 DLC). So Six drops Mono to save his life, to stop her from eating him.
I love how they just got finished burning a giant monster to death and Six is just peacefully warming up her hands
Maybe the thin man was trying to catch him to stop a time loop
I was thinking about the same thing
(Spoilers) No he was trying to stop M.C. from getting to the end because Six was gonna betray them In the end
@Xaviour Reign Pinto but how would've she known that he turned into the monster
True man this a real mystery
@Xaviour Reign Pinto That wouldn't really fit with the way she drops him off the ledge on purpose. Either she wanted him to die from the fall, or she wanted to strand him in that obviously hellish place.
SPOILERS
It’s honestly incredibly sad, Mono did anything for six to help and protect her, there was countless times where Mono could have left her behind but he didn’t. 🥺
The creators have actually said that six and the geisha lady have no connection, and are not related.
SIX WAS THE TERMINATOR THIS WHOLE TIME
The second game was before the first
@@Vocalo_fan I think that they are (or rather, Mono will grow up to be) the same kind of creatures, instead of the same person.

I wonder if it’s possible to get six whacked by the bucket
By the way if you want to know what actually happens at the end of Little Nightmares 2, Just Scroll down😉
At the end of Little Nightmares 2, Mono and Six run swiftly towards the Exit of the nightmarish Tall Man’s World.
And one more thing, if Six pulled Mono up from the dark void of the alive Maw, the cycle would’ve ended with The Tall Man not existing from then on, and escaping everything that they went through
Let me know if I am right about the games lore. This took me pretty long to explain but no matter of that😉

@JOSHUA LEON -spoiler- alert. if you played the maw dlc, you would know what I mean
This sums it all up.
@Tiana Ridd I speculate that each one of those shadowy child forms left behind in secret places were each times Six betrayed Mono.
@LUO YIYANG S3-11 I do not have time stamps at the same time this video does not show all of the shadows collected. I'm sorry.

I feel like the shotgun guy was only normal one out of everyone who got possessed by the radio signal tower , why you ask? Well he had a shotgun and a mask on him to prevent him seeing the TV , and on top he was away from the city
omg its true
But he was also killing people then stuffing them
@@diamondlove9601 Considering the possessed human parts at the hospital or the feral porcelain children at the school. I'd say Shotgun guy was pretty normal in comparison.
Also we see that in the house he created a fake family at the dinner table , that might be indicating that he misses his family who most likely died due to tower signal
But most important shotgun guy got prisoner Six,that we have seen was the big bad bitch, maybe because he was good and know she was bad

It's simply a masterpiece of deepness and I love every theory here.
Nicely written my dude
I think the time loop was broken once Mono realized that he was the tall man so he tried to break it by staying in that chair forever

Maybe a story of exploitation in media, child abuse, you becoming your worst traumas.
There's an old saying: "If you to hide and disguise your own nature, that is to show that you barely had one". The game is too abstract to tell whatever was the message it wanted. In the end it's just another horror game for time to forget.
Right.
What if it is little nightmares
Six could've ended the loop if she just saved Mono right then and there. I get that she wanted revenge on future Mono, but future Mono wanted revenge on her first- if she just believed that Mono was truly trying to help, she could've prevented the whole thing. But DAMN- this is the single best time-paradox story ever!!
Future Mono/the thin man should have took Six, broken her neck at that very moment and that's it.

Omg same
I don't think you should really believe just one, but be open to all of them, since they could all be true and express different perspectives of the game. Viewing the game from different perspectives is the best way to understand it, because you are looking at the different details and the different plots that are shown in the game. They all correlate to the true meaning of the game, and so, you should not select just one theory as the right one to believe in. (●´ω`●)💝
That's the scary thing about this fandom
Everyone that has a theory seems to be right-
It's an art. Arts are supposed to be abstract and subject to interpretation.
HOLY S*IT THAT ONE'S GOOD

good philosophy, but Actually there's many that believe the second game's story is a prequel to the first
@@AptGamingYT it is
I’m thinking that this game is a prequel.
I thought so too! it seemed like the second game happened first before the first game if that makes sense.
No because Very Little Nightmares is the Prequel to Little Nightmares. It shows us where Six came from and how she actually got her rain coat as well as how she entered the maw
The Little Nightmares 2 description or the developers literally confirmed that it takes place after the Maw
@@ihatelife5464 yea just did some research, completely forgot that very little nightmares existed and that is in fact, the prequel to little nightmares 1

Just finished this! What an absolute masterpiece!! Can’t wait for number 3!!
Definitely a 11/10
pfft only 11/10 i wouldnt even rate it there is no score high enough for it

(Poor fool that she is, horrible things kept happening to her regardless.)
Calling her 'evil' without taking into account any of the things that have happened to her is incredibly callous.
Mono risked six’s life many times throughout the game to find a way to save the city
I’m Agree with you but for me, six is a nice person we can see on VLN and LN2 Well these two game is a prequel to LN1, she is a nice person but these nightmares make her turning into a person which just cares with herself and she decides to not trust everyone, and mono is the last person she giving trust
Well the thing is there’s also a lot of stuff making her evil the fact that she started breaking mannequins hands sitting while a guys burning up and how is six being cold supped to help her be nice and also thinman didn’t hurt in the first place there must’ve been a first cycle where six did something really bad and then thinman came she also brutally murdered a lot of things have you even seen the 1st game and most of the time she wasn’t with him in the school she got captured so she hardly helped him there the doctor she only went through the doctor not mannequins or hands so she hardly did much the pale city she got captured and I don’t think thinman tortured her if he did then why does she have all the stuff and she literally attempted murder there’s no way she thought mono was gonna live if attempted murder or even murder from the 1st game is not enough I don’t know what is
And still how does that justify the fact she betrayed mono
@@zapzap9610 Breathe, use periods please yikes. That's a fair counterargument, but those sound like sociopathic things, not exactly evil no.
Even though I’ve seen the ending hundreds of times, it still always pulls on my heart strings even though I know what’s coming up. That’s how powerful a game can be.
This game definitely exceeded my expectations. Literally one of the best games I played my whole life 😭
The part where you walk through the manikins with the flashlight and there’s like 10 of them coming after you is the hardest part

SPOILER ALERT, obviously
Why is there a suuuuch large amount of people suggesting the idea of "Six being hungry", suggesting that this game is a sequel to the first game story-wise. Has it been actually confirmed about the story timeline? Because I personally think next: Six could've betrayed Mono at any point prior to that if she actually had same intention of doing that, so she wasn't hostile before; she has seen Mono's face after being rescued at the end, and most likely she's had way more than enough time to see who's the Man in the Hat (because the main intention of Mono was afterall to punish Six, to make her know that she won't get away from Mono that easy after betrayal), so the reason she let go of him off the cliff is because she saw a pretty much her greatest enemy after all that torture she's gone through, technically caused by Mono himself; and last, but not least - the reason why I think it's a prequel is for 3 reasons:
1) We never heard Six's stomach growl throughout 2nd game, nor her eating anything at all;
2) In the secret ending we heard that stomach growl of Six's, so my guess is that after turning back from giant monster she gained hunger as well somehow, maybe a curse from that dimension or something, and the aftermath of that we've seen in the 1st game;
3) During first like 5 min of the 1st game there's a long legged man in black suit, hanged off the ceiling.
Six is probably a racist or something
Bro that's what I also thought of I think that little nightmares 2 was first then came little nightmares 1 because also in little nightmares 2 six didn't have a raincoat yet until they found it but in Little nightmares 1 she had a raincoat after plus in the comics she was still in the city until little nightmares 1 where she was at the maw
