- Sinulog 2024, This was my first time ever celebrating Sinulog in Cebu Philippines! I travelled to Cebu just for this, Philippines biggest and best Festival, I met a lot of amazing Filipino Locals, watched the Sinulog Parade, Had delicious Jollibee, talkeed to some Locals and enjoyed Sinulog as a Foreigner!

I am glad you enjoyed this celebration of faith and tradition, Sinulog. It was not easy to be in the middle of hundreds of people all trying to see the parade as close as they can, aside from the fact that it is hot and humid in the country, but yet you had fun and for sure it was all worth it.

As I have worked in CEBU for 20 years, every SINULOG is one of a kind...the vibe...the spirit of CHRIST are absolutely in there! You have to wait for 2-3 hrs lining up to order your food that's true...but u will understand that no complaints...hats off to the crew always...maluoy na lang ka nila...

Even at that time of Magellan's arrival to Cebu way back year 1521, cebuanos are so receptive/welcoming to foreigners (Magellan)...
The thing is Lapulapu is not welcoming foreigners.. lapu lapu's attitude is teritorial... hihi

I enjoy watching you enjoying our traditional festival in Cebu! We held it every year in the third week of January so you are welcome to join the celebration. I had fun watching other people on your vlog greeting you and treating you well. Tbh, Jollibee is always packed regardless of the day but they are double pack at that due to Sinulog. I'm glad that you keep on being positive of the situations. Feel free to explore Cebu as they are a lot of places to explore such as Lapu-Lapu, Mandaue, and the different provinces that we have here.
There's so much more in Cebu to explore but limited time hahaha, I will say though, it's been one of my best experiences so far!

Sinulog has deep roots in history and faith. In 1521, the Portuguese navigator Ferdinand Magellan landed on Cebu to erect a cross on its shores. He introduced Christianity and presented the Miraculous Image of Santo Niño as a gift to Hara Humamay (Juan), the wife of Raja Humabon. On April 14, 1521, the first baptism took place, during which 500 natives, led by the Hindu Raja Humabon and his wife, were baptized into the CATHOLIC FAITH. 🇻🇦💐

Honestly,, some of us are excited to see sinulog vlog on that sinulog day... There was none as I waited and monitored every now and then.. the vlogs was posted 1day or 2 days after sinulog..
I am more excited to see foreign vlogs than watching those celebrities on floats..
