Thank you. I live in Coimbra and was looking for an English video about the city to send to a friend overseas, and loved it. Glad you enjoyed your stay!
Very pleasant video. I am surprised it didn't get mote views. Anyway, I will be in Coimbra in August and will make sure to try the tentugal and the Coimbra fado. Thank you for the tips!
I'm living near to the stadium here in Coimbra for nearly two years now. I really lived in such a lot of countries and cities, it's astonishing. In 2017, I became a widower due to lack of safety in Buenos Aires. In 2018, I resettled to Tigre. In 2021, I left the American continent forever, I return only as a tourist. Numbeo QOL life index on the internet is very good comparing cities and countries. A little bit better than Coimbra in Madeira. Pastelaría Toledo is one of my favorites. ( 0:48)
Hi guys, thanks for another great video. I'm glad that I watch this video after dinner, to much goodies 😍😂. I have to add that Coimbra is by far my favorite destination in the Portugal vlog (for the moment) 😍😍
Loved your video thank you. May I ask if you stayed overnight and if so, where did you stay? In the Old Town area or elsewhere? What would you recommend. Cheers from Australia
Hi :) Thanks for watching! Yes, so we did sleep in Coimbra for 4 nights. I think it's better to stay in the center because that's for sure where everything happens and it's so walkable, but because we are traveling on a budget, we stayed outside of town (10 minute uber ride or so). It was a great apartment though! I'm going to leave the link here for you: www.airbnb.com/rooms/49881568?guests=1&adults=1&s=67&unique_share_id=0e3d86a6-3cce-4a8d-8afd-85218ac1427b safe travels to paradise 🩵🇵🇹
I'm going to vacation tot this city this friday wit my mother , grandmother and little brother. My uncle lives there and we are going to sleep there in his quinta with him . His quinta is called : quinta da mamadeira . Search on google . We are dutch and my uncle too. He also have a appartment in lisbon.
Nuns invented so many puddings and pastries for a reason - most of them make good use of egg yolks because the nuns used the egg whites to starch their wimples
Actually, Lisbon and Porto are not split by the river like Coimbra is, the south bank of the Tagus River doesn't belong to the city of Lisbon and the south bank of the Douro River doesn't belong to the city of Porto. 😉
I am sorry, but it is not the third biggest city. You have Braga for example ahead. And you must learn a little bit about Portugal History. Capital of Portugal ????

Found out I got some Portuguese DNA and this was one of the main cities highlighted. Much love to Portugal from the states
Coimbra was Portugal's first capital and home of the monarchy. Maybe you have royal lineage?!? 😎

O pastel de Tentúgal é de uma vila perto de Coimbra e monte mor o velho perto de praia da figueira da foz onde desagua o rio Mondego ❤

Really?
Seems like would make sense
But then again the romans used child urine ..
I believe Tentúgal pastries have a certain touch of nothern african (Magreb) pastries.
This is where I was born.
Nice! 🇵🇹
Ha we were there October 11 2018 in search of the “Harry Potter” students. Love the uni but we were only there for the afternoon.
hahaha that's awesome!!! It's such an awesome city. We really enjoyed our time there and seeing the Harry Potter students :)
Not " Harry Potter " students, but portuguese students, its Portugal cultural tradition.
Harry Potter copied it, that is the truth !!!
