I love his videos ,but at almost 52 I have Never bought a car from a dealer (except 2) my 87 supra turbo "from Toyota " and it was the worst car I ever owned) and my 2024 2SS 1LE brand new ,every other car I search carefully from private owners and have had amazing Cara over the years,The problem with most of these small car lots is many of the cars were somebody's headache before it went to auction ,bought ,repaired,sold and in many cases the buyer just has a shined up turd

The infinity was a little gold mine as you forgot to ad the $1000 minimum in parts that came with it. This was a back to your roots video. I must admit i miss this kind of video. Its what originally got me watchingnthe channel during the early days of covid.

Gred, my dad was a professional pain and body man for 40 years. He ended up getting kidney failure. I believe it has a lot to do with not wearing gloves when touching harmful chemicals. Just keep that in mind and teach your worker. Oh, an my Dad got the failure in his early 50s. Passed away at 63. Thoae chemicals are no good. Your worker seems like a good kid. He'll learn and be a good asset.
It's fun to watch you work and collect inventory, rehab it, it's also fun to see you helping/teaching your staff as well as us out here in YT land. The G will make a great weekend racer/drift car or even just a fun "beater" which it isn't...but at $5k, it's beater priced. So if you could keep repeating that...making $2-3k per car in your pocket...you might be able to pay off the boat? Haha. Nice to also see you letting your Dad have fun....he was close to a couple of those rides in the lot. "close". haha.

Single stage paint is Always Darker than the Factory and in most cases...That's why it's best to go back with how the Factory paints vehicles and not Cheap out on quality.....been doing it for 45 years and it will always cost more to cut corners than to do it right the first Time!!!!

My father in law decided 30 years ago to spray his first project at the time an Austin 7 in his garage. We still have tools and stuff covered in blue paint as that stuff goes everywhere.

On the silver Dale trailer, they probably lived in that in the winter so that they had the slide outs open in the winner. And so the water probably got in from the slide house. Because the rubber seal didn't hold up the snow when wind and weather routes that the winter brings in.
I have a side auto detailing business, I’ve found Stoner Trim Shine to be the best engine dressing, not greasy and leaves a natural,new looking shine. Tire shine and other silicone based products will mess with electrical connections and attract dust.

For oem paint , infinity used a base coat and clear personally I use chroma for my paint and clear I just painted a new bumper and original fender I am only trying to help BTW I love your show you have inspired me to flip cars for a living thank you for all your advice Craig
I got a 06 g35 coupe in 2020 for 3k great daily reliable and fairly quick just finished a 2600 mile roadtrip. It was my middle school dream car so I'm in it for the long haul transmission swap and motor built eventually when they give out

Craig! I had a grey 06 G35 coupe and ordered a new black primered front and rear bumper and my buddy got the paint code and sprayed them. The same exact thing happened the bumpers were way darker than the rest of the car. Either they used a white primer or Xfinity paint codes are off. I've ordered prepainted bumpers and fender flares off Ebay for 20 year old cars and they matched so something funny is up with Xfinitys.
Make a checklist and have them check off each issue you expect to be checked and up to your expectations. You are a perfectionist AND coming from a recovering perfectionist, I doubt it'll happen. 🧐😱😉😘
Hi Craig I think you have a great employee with Devon, I have learned a lot of processes detail my cars from on-line youtubers. DIYDetailer, AmmoNYC, Chicago Auto Pros, Rag Company have a lot of videos that show the proper processes in paint correction (Buffing) and interior detailing. I'm not knocking you for how you do things but I think if Devon checked some of these out he can really ad value to your business.
Always make the floor of the garage a light damp floor prevents dust from air gun or paint gun kicking up dust the wet floor then there's no dust being kicked up.

I like L.A awesome de greaser for interior it's a little less harsh.... should definitely do at least a 50/50 mix with hot water and purple power if you're doing fabrics.
If you ever need a detailer with lots of experience, and always handpolish in stead of using a machine, I am your guy. Been doing this for 20 years and love this kind of jobs. The only downside is that I live in Norway.....but I would love to move ;-)

Hell yeah that's good You got some tire marks in your lot now. Almost every intersection in my neighborhood is like that .. try doing 10 to 12 full details a day at an auction in a lane everyday. It'll destroy your body
Why not do a paintless dent removal on the dent in the back? Would take a couple hours to do it correctly. I do love that you are giving Devin(sp?) a chance to learn as he goes, a lot of shops wouldn't do that and would have destroyed him for the job at the end he did. He is learning and his work ethic is solid, if you put the work into him he will be invaluable to your company. Your mechanic on the other hand... Might want to find a new one...

Be a better coach/mentor Craig. Don’t call your staff out in front of thousands of watchers. Pull them in directly, tell them about all the good things they do and give them some constructive feedback. Good employees are hard to find.

Craig, that paint isn't the same color. I'd check the paint code with what you ordered. It looks like is B16 crystal blue metallic instead of B30 Blue Metallic.

Us body guys typically don't live to see old age. I have an old coworker full of cancer in his 50's. I have stomach cancer in my early 40's.

FYI single stege paint has no clear in it but less paint with more reducer with hardener will give off more of a shine sir ! (But there is no Clear .)

Why not do a paintless dent removal on the dent in the back? Would take a couple hours to do it correctly. I do love that you are giving Devin(sp?) a chance to learn as he goes, a lot of shops wouldn't do that and would have destroyed him for the job at the end he did. He is learning and his work ethic is solid, if you put the work into him he will be invaluable to your company. Your mechanic on the other hand... Might want to find a new one...

Disagree. Dave has been there for so long and been a mechanic for so long that missing a check engine light and E brake in a manual is inexcusable. Devin clearly gets a pass but not Dave

Question for a body and paint man. When polishing a car, is it OK that the pad is so imbalanced. It seems like it would skip and dig.
Pro tip use wax and grease remover before you tack cloth and wet your floor to keep the dust down
Craig, that paint isn't the same color. I'd check the paint code with what you ordered. It looks like is B16 crystal blue metallic instead of B30 Blue Metallic.
