Yay! So glad you’re back. I totally get reprioritizing life in different seasons. Seems this season of your life is more family focused, and that is good and okay. Welcome back ❤

I feel the same way about reading and mental health. If I am reading a lot or consistently it means I'm doing good. If I am not that means there's stuff not so good going on that I am dealing with. I have never looked at it that way before but it's so true.
That being said I am happy you're transitioning back to your old role and can work from home again + even though I don't have children my mom adopted a son that came with extreme amounts of trauma and I can understand from that lens & the fact that I have worked as a teacher in daycares and preschools. I can attest most of those places are not equipped to deal with much outside the norm sadly. Places really need better funding and better advocates in those places other than the parents. The caretakers also need to fight the admin and let them know what they can handle with what they have and all around the system needs a lot of work. Sending many prayers and good vibes your way. And again happy to see you back in this space.

Yes to all of this! We spend so much time advocating and trying to ensure he is in the best place he can be, and it was really quickly made apparent that they took our money and really didn’t care about him as a child. Any time we tried to ask questions or demand accountability the center tried to turn it on us and got so nasty. We’re now having to do so much extra work to unravel the damage and behaviors he learned at this center.
He’s doing so much better now that we pulled him and have him in a much better place!
I’m so excited to be back and to be in a place to want to create again! I need to catch up on so many videos too!

Welcome back! I’m excited that your content will be starting again! I’m sorry that things with work and your son’s daycare were tough, but happy to hear about your amazing husband and that things are getting better!
By the way, I’m currently 40% into 11/22/63, and I’m really enjoying it!
