I miss this Iowa team. Probably the most complete Iowa team in their history. I know the Chuck Long Rose Bowl team was great too but this one. Just wow. Lost to a great USC team after taking a month and a half off but what a phenomenal year.
Was at that game. After the Pagel hit my 8 year old daughter looked up at me with big blue eyes and I said to her, "he's not playing anymore....it was a huge hit....loud!

I agree. You'd have to go back to the 1950s to find a more balanced Hawk team.
