  • Today’s video is a recollection of my birth! As you can tell, I’m a bit of a drama queen but I actually really enjoyed my birth. My labour was induced using dilapan, a hormone free dilator, and then I went onto the drip and had a fast labour.I could talk about pregnancy, birth, and motherhood all day so if you have questions on labour, pain relief, or anything really, comment below. ⬇️ 👇

I was worried at first, as I couldn’t find much user generated content online, but it was honestly a great experience. The scariest thing about inductions is how long they can take due to the inefficiency of the hormonal methods, and the increased risk of intervention with them, but this is a game changer. If I don’t go into labour spontaneously with my next, I’d definitely try and advocate for using Dilapan again! :)

Why one hour? It can take three hours of pushing. Heart rate always goes down during contractions then goes back up.
I hope they didn’t rush you.
Congratulations on cute baby! Hope you healed well.

I’m not sure tbh! I’m not sure if it was because of the epidural or the pain relief k had taken, or if I wasn’t pushing enough, she just said I needed to get him out in an hour! I was struggling to bear down with the lack of sensation tbh so I think I needed the assisted delivery. Thank you, all recovered and have a happy and healthy 7 month old now!
