Building A 21st Century Version of the Popular 1955 Chevy Shoebox - Horsepower S8, E15

We launch our 55/SS project which is a 21st century version of the popular 1955 Chevy shoebox. We’ll build it from the chassis up with a 502 big block, then the trans, rear end, brakes and suspension. We’ll also visit the shop to show how the chopped top bodies are made from fiberglass.

There was nothing made in the 50s under the SS. The first SS was the 61 Chevrolet impala with the SS package.
