Kaercher WV2 - fix Won’t Start, green LED flashing

    Update:
    Several people have commented that they have used other items like q-tips or pens to move the blower wheel. So If you don’t have a tie wrap readily available, you could try to use another long thin object :-)
    ***********
    My Kaercher WV2 didn’t want to start, and the green LED was just flashing rapidly when the button was pushed.
    Please feel free to leave a comment if any questions :-)
    Hope it can help anyone with the same issue.
    May God’s peace be upon you 😃

    Just wanted to thank you for posting this invaluable vlog on UA-cam. Our fully charged Karcher stopped working exactly like you described and thought we'd have to pay for an expensive repair, or even buy a new one. Yeah, must be! Or, people should just clean their windows way more often :-P I’m guessing it gets stuck when left unused for a long period of time.. • @rampel1
      @rampel1 4 роки тому +1

      I would guess they use some kind of lower quality grease that gets stuck. After spinning mine and resolving the issue you can hear it is louder and crunchier. I am pondering on disabling and looking into greasing the wheel.

    • @SourceOfObesity
      @SourceOfObesity  4 роки тому

      There are other videos in this very same issue where they disassemble them completely. A bit more work, but if it sounds more crunchier, I would definitely agree! A crunchy fan probably won’t last long 😕

    Worked!. Used the earbud as suggested and bent the end so that it had more traction to move the wheel.
    Unit stopped working after a big spring clean so I assume this has a design flaw that when the wheel dries out whilst charging overnight it ceases up.
    Second unit, the original completely failed as my best guess was it was used upside down for a bit and water reportedly ingresses into the insides, and breaks it entirely.

    Yup, had the same issue, I used a bit of old cable to wiggle it and works fine again now. Thanks for the fix!

    Worked for me thank you. Hardest part was finding where I'd left the cable ties.

      Others have reported that q-tips works as well :-) So you can try those if they're easier to find the next time ;-)

    Thanks for this, if I hadn't seen your vid I would have a pile of useless karcher bits on my work bench by now!

    Brilliant. I was about to throw my Karcher away, tried this (or rather a friend with more nimble fingers did) and it worked perfectly! Thank you so much.

    Brilliant ! Thank-you, thought I was going to have to have a back and forth with Kaercher ( it's less than a year old) but it's fixed thanks to your video .

    It took a couple of attempts. Was starting to feel a bit deflated, and on the 3rd attempt, it worked! Thank you so much!!!

    Worked for my brother. Thought it was a dead battery but the machine's fan was stuck.
    Saved chucking it out or buying a refurbished body.

    Thanks very much. I was on to Karcher who (outside of warranty) wanted €80 for this fix 🤦. Not a great brand for reliability. Had a pressure washer die too (no luck with the airlock clear fix) and both items just outside the 2 years. It's not like they've had a hard life either 🤷

      You’re most welcome mate:-) I’m a bit surprised by the number of views this video’s got... 21 000 and climbing. And since the video has got no entertainment value what so ever, i guess one basically has to conclude that all the views are from people having the same issue. So I kinda have to agree, at least for this particular model, it doesn’t look great when it comes to reliability :-/
      80 euros!?!? Wow! That’s the same price as they sell a brand new one for here in Norway! :-P Almost sounds like an Apple repair price 😜😂

    Thanks a million. I had the same issue and such a simple fix, and my Karcher WV2 is now working. You are a star.
