I had many differences with my Dad, it wasn't until my 30s that i resolved them,sadly at 49 i lost him.i wish he was still here, i have so much more i want to say.
This song made me resolve those issues and difficult times we had when i was a child way back when this was released.
Do it today, go see him, son or daughter go to him and sort it, then enjoy your time you both have left together.

Paul Carrack..had the privilege to see him live (purely through being in the right pub in Glasgow where his fans were refreshing before the show and I went along..one of my better drinking moves)..he is fantastic live!..this is a song of celebration for the living..open up now and forgive if possible and avoid any regrets..blood is thicker than water.xx

Mike Rutherford and Brian Alexander Robertson wrote this Masterpiece based in their personal relationship with their fathers( which You can realize was not good) The last strophe was written by Robertson who was father 7 mounths after the death of his father. Paul was the voice necessary for this song reached the number one in the chart in 25 countries in 1988.
So much soul in Paul's voice. I'd pay to hear this man sing listings out of a phone book!
