I really like how you wrote the hytoth leadership's rejection. It is so common for scp articles to have a higher up dismissing out of hand and cold and cruelly. But they why you wrote them really did feel like it came from a place of understanding and legitimate feelings of camaraderie.

Loved your Ortothans here! I prefer it when GOIs have relatable human motivations. The early years tended to have a lot more mustache-twirling villainy, but this is more intimate. Even mundane, in a way. Redwood’s grief and desperation to do good even while performing atrocities are palpable throughout. It’s a real “we aren’t so different, you and I” moment for the Foundation.
This really is a spectacular SCP! The human drama of survival vs. ethics, the forensic/engineering style of analysis of a religious magic is such a unique spin, the courage to go with what made the best story instead of copping out with a happily ever after, and the intensely believable characters with real, human motivations and complex moral worldviews... it really is a masterwork. I want to bombard you with questions about what you've written, but I don't want to intrude on your life. I just... I just want to thank you for an excellent story!
